Good concept, but the sunrise was too slow to be a menace and I was dying constantly due to slippery controls on the little platforms. Still managed to finish it :)

Thanks! That little smile at the end is what makes it all worth it. If the sunrise doesn't scare you you should try hard mode :)
I greatly enjoyed it, but agree that the controls become the biggest problem, and get a bit tiresome to fight against.
Indeed, a very good concept.
Everything just seemed to be a wee bit too small to see properly, but still fun.
Sigh, another platformer which is too hard for me to properly enjoy (even on easy... I must really suck, playing games for almost 30 years must have fried my brain :)... Tiny tiny tiny view without possibility to use fullscreen with dark blue over almost black just adds to confusion.
I just get an "illegal" address when I try and run the application. Please add more information on what is needed to play this so that others can give it a try :)
Deraj:
You will definitely get an illegal address when running the level editor if you do not set some things up properly as mentioned in the Readme.
If you're getting that error when running the actual game, it's possible that the game can't find some required files (the sounds, graphics, and level data) so please make sure to unzip everything before trying to run the game.
Aside from that... I got that error when trying to run the game in WINE in Ubuntu 10.10. What environment are you running the game in?
Good concept. Controls were tough, but I did like the wall jumping. Bigger graphics would have helped.
Nice job!
very hard to wall-jump well enough to make it very far in. I kept hitting jump, and no wall-jumping would occur, making it impossible to continue
vitae: To wall jump you must be within 3 pixels of the wall and the tips of your tentacles must be above the bottom of the wall. The vertical shaft in easy mode right after being introduced to wall jumps is a good place to practice. I can only assume that you're pressing jump too early, or that you're stopping too far from the wall, because in most cases (that is, unless you fall below the bottom of the wall) pressing jump too late will still result in a wall jump.
Alternatively, there may be a bug with the controls in your specific environment. What kind of system are you using to play the game?
The slippery super speed of the hero made him die a lot. Kinda a mood killer for me. Otherwise a well done piece.
