The link is broken. It should probably point to: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~wlovas/ludumdare/
I downloaded the OS X version from there, but I got an error trying to run it on an Intel Mac OS X 10.6.3:
Dyld Error Message:

Any chance of a Windows version? A lot of people only have Windows :)
I dont have access to any mac's and can therefore not try it out.
Windows version works for me. Game is a bit twitchy, maybe add some more layouts or make the whirlpools mobile?
I like the art style, but wish it were a little more animated. The little dialog boxes are cute, and I like the core idea. Starfish moves a bit too fast, and it's hard to tell when you're being pulled into a whirlpool, but I figured it out. Good job!
The gameplay idea is cool, but the game runs very very quickly, and just holding up + right lets me win every time. Those things together kind of spoil the fun. It's also sad that there's only one level.
Windows link worked for me. The whirlpool-gravity game mechanic is interesting, but it could have been explored much more.
Bad physics, bad graphics and only one level make it a pretty bad game, but if you elaborated it could become okay!
Mac version works fine now. (Mac OS X 10.6.3, MacBook Pro)
If you develop the game further, it could be a really fun game. For example:
- Rotate the whirlpools (Animation)
- Assign a random position for the whirlpools at each level start or create a few maps
- Add a whirlpool for each level (e.g. level 1 has three whirlpools, level 2 four etc.)
- Highscore list
too fast on windows, but could be fun if developed further
WHOA. Super duper fast!
The starfish reacts way too fast. It is pure luck that I got to the island. The average play duration is 0.5 seconds :)
Partially randomized stages would increase the replayability a bit.
Really sorry to say I didn't get a lot of fun out of this game. :(
Not sure if it's just the windows version, but that was waaaaaaaay too fast.
