I really liked the innovative flash light, with pointing at an actually location instead of just rotating it, and shaking it to recharge. The ominous music and lack of other audio makes it quite scary.
I give it 5 stars overall even tough I don't think it reflects the theme much.
As Zombuster said, the game didn't represent the theme very well. Perhaps "an island of light in the sea of doubts"? I wonder if it was intentional that you didn't have to close your light, shaking it enough made it recharge faster than it ran out. Interesting narration!
I like the game, it works great on the browser (no downloads at all). Nice time lapse also.
Not very clear what you're supposed to be doing, and I don't see the connection to the theme at all.
I was never fully clear on how I was interacting with things. I had fun for a couple of levels.
Very cool. Took me a couple of tries to realize what I was doing. I liked the abstract interpretation of the theme.
Hmm, it was a nice idea, but it got too repetative and it was too easy for me, anyway. The repetition hit into me at about level 4, and it got boring from there.
Great concept, and decent story as well. There definitely could be some more variation on the gameplay, but overall a cool game.
I like the visual effects and the narration. I was confused for a bit though because I was able to run off-screen but nothing would happen.
The lighting effects are excellent, but the game is really hard to play thought because you can't see the bugs unless you're constantly spinning around. It also seems like moving around doesn't really help. I think the game would be more interesting with a larger level with other light sources that you could take a breather in.
Cool premise, nice music, and good job with the flashlight effect. Was a little tough to see the enemies coming, which I suppose added to the suspense, but seemed a bit undesirable for gameplay when they can make you lose just like that.
The idea is neat, but I think the execution doesn't do it justice. I think one easy way to improve the game would be to add more feedback for getting attacked and destroying + stunning enemies.
Well, okay... not bad.
The Good - Light effect looked awesome, the soundtrack was pretty good, although utterly minimal.
The Bad - Steep difficulty, shaking the flashlight was mostly annoying.
The Ugle - graphics lookeed... yeah. They might have been passable without the rotation messing everything up, but I cant really say.
Cool music. I died a lot. Not so cool.
I'll get you bugs SOME day! Also... ISLANDS?!?!
Looks very good, but gets boring fast. So far I've seen only light shaking and moving about. Especially with the narrative it would be neat to have one or two other events going.
Wasn't fun so much as stressful! Very... disquieting.
