This means that, on average, you've rated a game every 16 minutes, and given your current karma you must have also written quite a lot of comments. Weren't you the slighest bit tired immediately after the 2-day crunch? Can you explain? | |

The timeframe is too small to get the heavy playtesting burden off the ground. The jackbox, of course, flies anyway, because Jeremy doesn't care what jammers think is impossible. Oooh. This is the fastest 5 for Fun I've ever given on Ludum Dare. It's really crazy how polished the gameplay flow is, and I hope you expand it with scoring and custom prompts (and that's pretty much everything this game needs to be infinitely replayable). The only thing I disliked was the US-centrism, but that is something Jackbox has also been guilty of. The game needs less Shakespeare and more Navy Seals. |

And him calling out other people for supposedly not having played his game is just funny. --------------------------------------------- Don't give this guy any more attention, and don't bestow heart karma on him. You may have come here because he commented under your game, or because he has 285 karma at the time of writing–but he didn't play your game, and I'm half-convinced he has never played a single Ludum Dare game other than his own. When he's active, his "ratings given" counter increases by about one every 4 minutes, which is nowhere near enough time to download and play a game, leave a rating and comment–and comment he does: Screenshot_20251010_203314.png image.png image.png image.png Screenshot_20251010_204515.png Screenshot_20251010_204446.png Screenshot_20251010_204718.png Screenshot_20251010_204811.png Screenshot_20251010_204900.png Screenshot_20251010_204911.png These comments weren't selected. They were the first 10 comments I encountered, and that didn't take long. You'd be hard-pressed to find a comment of his that doesn't look like that; I've never seen one personally. Leaving one-liner comments isn't inherently bad, but if someone collects (!! is this a Ludum Dare 58 meta-game?) almost 300 karma in a few days, and every. single. comment is so insubstantial, so empty that it could have been written after merely glancing at a screenshot, or not even–then something doesn't seem right. My game can take less than a minute to complete if you aren't particularly committed to it, and the end screen has a little request to the commenter, a request which obviously hasn't been honored by Eugenik who only commented "Amazing art!!!." under an experimental mini-game where art is the weakest link. Opportunists who game the system show up at every Ludum Dare, but Eugenik is a repeat offender that has done this for years. In fact, if you've been around here for some time, you probably recognize him. Perhaps his most egregious comment was "nice humor" under a tearjerker game about playing the piano: Screenshot_20251010_204050.png |
| Oct 22 19:18:42 | 19h 21m | Feelm | ♥ 2 | https://youtu.be/K9ysoEwTfRI I love the idea and the execution, especially whatever ungodly sorcery you did on the audio side, and how you managed to make the maze engaging but not frustrating (the VHS checkpoint system is great). However, the game seems to softlock after death, and death can happen late into the game kinda out of nowhere. Per the rules, you're allowed to fix gamebreaking bugs, so please use the opportunity. |
| Oct 22 23:06:37 | 3h 47m | Antiquus Labyrinthus | ♥ 2 | OBS crashed 2026-10-23_00-57.png Well done. It does resemble old games but my first impression was Nobeta (which itself resembles old games). The final lever was perhaps a bit too nasty given the timer and the unclear victory condition (although it wasn't the only lever in the game, so perhaps that was on me). Impressive 3D modelling given the timeframe. Alea iacta est. |
| Oct 25 23:35:33 | 72h 28m | HORSE TOWER | ♥ 1 | https://youtu.be/CF33CeRwST4 This is a really good game; a side-view sokoban kinda but not really. The puzzles are nothing crazy but they are non-trivial and satisfying to clear (which is something I always find beyond impressive at Jam timeframe). I'm not a fan of the decision to not include a "drop" button, as that doesn't really increase the depth of the puzzles but wastes a ton of time. I love the presentation, although old tech is regrettably nowhere to be found. |
