Oct 19 15:38:04 The Red Baron takes flight again ♥ 1 I learned English just to write this comment. Another brilliant entry. I point it out during my recorded gameplay, but I feel like the audio quality in your games has gotten worse? I just replayed *The dude with a wolf a goat and a cabbage - A modern interpretation* where the audio is perfectly clean. I don't personally know the audio limitations of the SEGA Dreamcast, nor do I own one physically to confirm if it's just an HTML5 issue, but the music in *The Red Baron takes flight again* seems to have a lot of *this:*: StuffLikeThis.PNG Which causes a gritty sound constantly. And I know you do this every Ludum Dare, but it bears repeating, the fact that you make games for the Dreamcast is incredibly cool. I was considering making an NES game this time around, but I wasn't super confident that I could pull it off, so I didn't. But the dreamcast itself falls under the theme (deal with it), so I'm awarding you the **Runs on Old Tech Award**! RunsOnOldTech.png And of course, for maximum feedbackitude, the video recording. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msM3JEbAQ5M
Oct 19 16:14:59 36m 55s Deep Dive ♥ 1 I love this. The artwork and animations are abundant and incredible. The deck building had some fun strategy, though I think some of the cards were a little unbalanced. The card that drops you 1 depth every turn seemed a little overpowered, and some cards seemed detrimental to include in the deck. I absolutely adore your writing and how you made the exposition fun! I'm awarding you the **Dream Team Award**, because these two are great to be around and can solve anything. Oct 19 16:49:35 34m 36s NewHouseâ„¢ ♥ 1 We love some good *deterior architecture*. I mean... *interior*. I love the story telling you put together just from descriptions of rooms people want to live in. That takes some skilled writing to pull off, and you nailed it. The way all the various objects begin to decay over time is really cool, and I like how they don't all decay at the same rate. Some objects are more rotten than others as time passes, which is a great touch. I'm awarding you the **Interior design used to be my passion back when we lived above ground** award: DeteriorDesign.png And for extra feedback, here's my video playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qc1nEl5oUKU
Oct 20 17:27:41 24h 38m AURORA Project ♥ 1 The story telling is, as always, incredible. I love the way you describe every room, and the character descriptions and lore are wonderfully written. My biggest issue... I have no idea at any moment what I can or cannot interact with or even examine. Your room descriptions mention rust appliances, yet ">Examine rusty appliances" yields "You can't see such a thing." And I think the biggest source of my confusion could be solved if there was some formatting used to denote intractable objects, like square brackets or bold text. If you put me in a room and say something like, "The corner of the room has some rusty machinery you don't recognize, and [plants] that have not been watered in decades." Then I don't need to waste my time attempting to fiddle with the machinery, yeah? Anyway, I'm not experienced with playing text based adventures, but I can only imagine the struggles I faced here were authentic to the old games of the 80's as well, so I'm awarding you... er- I'm attempting to award you with the- I'm giving you the- I'm *using the award on*- I'm... ah forget it. `>Examine award` It's the **Tech-Based Adventure Award**. TextBasedAward.png I also recorded my gameplay, which gets a bit rough. I am tremendously bad at this genre, so apologies in advance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6KIbX-rxvE
Oct 21 23:24:29 29h 56m Lexi Chameleon ♥ 1 I mean- what can I say? This game rivals anything in the most recent Jackbox Party Pack, and it was made solo in 48 hours. I had an absolute blast playing with you and friends. I'm awarding you with the highest honor I can give. **The JeremyBox Award** JeremyBox.png If you feel the need, the session we played has been recorded for future historians to study. Cheers, man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEAlIRBwNHU
Oct 27 16:37:34 137h 13m Ultimate future: spaceship laser adventure, the new-age shooter ♥ 1 Delightful. I honestly clicked on this game entirely because I thought the 3D programmer-art in the thumbnail was really charming, but I was not expecting the masterpiece that this was. In the spirit of taking things to an earlier era, the old Ludum Dare website had a feature where you could give unique awards to developers. I'm awarding you the **Less is more** award. Minimalism.png That's uh... a red ribbon attached to a gold medal. Obviously. I have recorded myself playing the game to provide extra feedback: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eisYCLr6GkY
Oct 27 17:20:20 42m 46s Doodle Skate ♥ 1 You mean to tell me there wasn't a 7th collectible in the level 3? Ugh. My doodle talents are going to waste. I had a lot of fun with this. Very reminiscent of Line Rider, or some other flash games I remember playing long ago. Honestly a bit nostalgic. I have doodled a little award for you, in honor of all the sick flips my character did. The **"Rad game, dude!"** award. SickFlip.png Okay, so I probably had a unique issue. The entire time I recorded myself playing the game, my cursor was invisible. I swear, the moment I closed out of OBS everything was fine, and I am rating your game as if the cursor was always there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3c6SniZKLw
Oct 27 17:45:38 25m 18s Archimedes' Last Stand ♥ 1 I think making a game entirely in javascript is impressive, so I'm awarding you the **Nothin' but JS** award. BareBonesAndJavascript.png The stand user could be *any one* of these programming languages. That being said, I think the game is a bit lacking. It wouldn't have been that difficult to add a system of score, or a slight increase in difficulty over time by reducing the rate between enemy spawns. I recorded myself playing to provide extra feedback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGzB7Lt8hQA
