| Oct 5 00:36:30 | Running Low, In Space | ♥ 2 | Collecting blocks and redeploying them to move around, or reusing them as fuel/shields/ammunition, are very clever ideas! Although it seems difficult to "run out of space" when there are so many blocks available, haha. It really does feel almost like two games in one. The ship handling felt a bit awkward to me, but I understand the decision to use the direction of the last acceleration to aim laser beams in order to avoid the hassle of an aim cursor. Collecting the artifacts and fighting the boss made this feel like a complete experience, which is awesome. The team did a great job! | |
| Oct 5 04:36:26 | 3h 59m | X-13 VIRTUOUS MISSION | ♥ 1 | The game is quite enjoyable! It gave me classic Mechwarrior vibes. The SFX is good, though some music could have enhanced the experience. The upgrade system is interesting and a good take on the theme! Could be fun to be able to get more memory for extra upgrades in subsequent runs. I would have liked it if there was an enemy counter on the hud, and if there was some feedback on successful hits. Overall though, I could see this becoming a bigger game in the future! |
| Oct 5 04:56:32 | 20m 06s | Slime Infestation | ♥ 1 | Very good use of the theme! I like how the different aspects of managing the spaceship clicked over time, and everything naturally started making sense. But even then, I kept failing after the midpoint, haha. The slimes are cute, but they put up quite a fight! I rather like the chill atmosphere of the game (before the slimes overrun you, that is). If you ever get around to polishing it up some more, as well as adding some audio and adjusting the difficulty a bit, this is a solid foundation for a fun, relaxed-and-slightly-stressful space trip simulator. Great job! |
| Oct 5 06:35:05 | 1h 38m | Antigravity Cat Orbs | ♥ 2 | To be able to play anti gravity soccer with cat orbs, what a time to be alive! Thanks to no timer, I found the game a relaxing experience, just booping cats at my own pace. The art style and the music/sounds fit well together and felt unique. The booping physics can be a bit unpredictable, but I think it adds to the charm. Fun game. |
| Oct 5 06:58:13 | 23m 08s | RelicBound | ♥ 2 | Interesting game! Pretty tough too. At the beginning it's quite possible to evade all the enemies and dispatch them with the sword, but as soon as the next waves begin, I tend to take more damage than the enemies do when trading blows. Just evading the enemies for several minutes would be a solution, but then you don't collect any relics... I guess I'm just bad at the game, haha. Maybe in the future, collecting relics would give better heals or other upgrades, to help the player keep up. I like the graphics, they remind me of oldschool RPGs! |
| Oct 6 20:35:07 | 37h 36m | Profound Tribulations Arise from the Pursuit of a Decadent Fool | ♥ 2 | The combination of sung lyrics and creepy music really sold the mood! It's quite amazing to manage to pull off a lot of voice acting as well as unique lyrics like this in a game jam! Also, interesting take on the theme. Having the cupcakes as a collectible you don't want to pick up was a cool idea. There were a few instances where I got stuck on the platforms, but overall it was a very good experience. The team did a great job! |
| Oct 18 04:28:00 | 271h 52m | "Noah"'s Ark | ♥ 1 | Hilarious game! I appreciate the portrayal of correct history with no made-up facts, as well as realistic backrubbing simulation. And bonus points for the biblically accurate angel! |
| Oct 18 05:39:56 | 1h 11m | Escape The Phantom Seascape! | ♥ 1 | The atmosphere in this game is simply amazing. The team did a wonderful job with the art and the mood. The water level rising adds tension to the escape room in a more organic way than a basic timer. It took me 3 tries to make it to the captain's cabin, I just couldn't figure out how to get to the ending after that. I agree with the suggestions to add some highlighting to the interactive objects (but not too much), and to add a way to read descriptions of the items we pick up (as some of those items aren't clear at first). Thanks for the game, I enjoyed it a lot! |
| Oct 18 07:50:01 | 2h 10m | Compress(space) | ♥ 2 | Really solid, innovative game! The aesthetic feel is great, and folding space is fun and made for cool puzzles. I would like to see you continue this project with more mechanics, less limitations, and way more puzzles! Gojo Satoru would be proud! |
| Oct 18 08:06:47 | 16m 46s | Outta Space | ♥ 1 | The graphics look great, they definitely sell the PC experience! Even changing the options and restarting the PC were well integrated by the game aesthetics. I found the game loop interesting but confusing, it never seems to be clear which files should be kept or not! The sticky notes weren't much help either, haha. I like how the 'health' system keeps you on your toes to keep deleting stuff, even though the user's download rate is rather absurd! The basic loop reminds me a bit of the game "Papers, Please", which made me think you could expand on this in the future by adding more information that the player needs to check on certain files, such as permissions, date created/modified, etc. |
| Oct 18 08:21:58 | 15m 11s | Avoider | ♥ 1 | I couldn't get anywhere close to the times to beat each stage, haha. I think I'm really bad at the game. I quite like the minimalist feel you went for, though I would prefer if the player didn't look so similar to the missiles. I had fun though! Would be nice to have the disappearing tiles feel less random, they are either a non-issue or unnecessarily punishing by splitting the field in half, or blocking off your only escape path. I also think the reaction speed needs to improve a bit, since the missiles are already way faster than the player. |
