Oct 3 00:59:06 Groovy Wars ♥ 1 The music is excellent and the graphics are nice! It took me a bit to realize the concept and how to play, and the 2nd player seemed to not control properly and get pushed out of the map sometimes. Might've been more fun if I had a friend to try it out with. Nice work overall :)
Oct 3 01:11:54 12m 48s LoopTown ♥ 0 Love the artwork and background music, very solid submission given that you scrapped your original!
Oct 3 01:20:34 8m 40s Space Lord X ♥ 1 Nice pixel art! Very simple and easy to grasp concept. Resetting to the beginning after a single death is a little frustrating though. Made it to level 6.
Oct 3 01:41:19 20m 45s Chrono Extractors ♥ 1 The pixel art animations look great and the gameplay is smooth, if not a bit slow. I played it twice and enjoyed seeing my strategy evolve and do better! It seems like no matter what though the endless swarm will take over. The lack of a game over screen feels kind of cool in a way, like this is the alien's planet now.
Oct 3 01:56:49 15m 30s Baseball Kid & The Nightmare Dimension ♥ 0 Very solid game! The intro is funny, the tutorial is baked into the gameplay well, the art is clean and easy to read, and the effects are satisfying. Excellent work!
Oct 3 04:06:40 2h 09m What's Under The Teapot? ♥ 8 One of the few games in which 10 seconds feels too long, haha. It was a bit too easy
Oct 3 05:34:10 1h 27m That Time My Dog Got Space Hiccups ♥ 1 Love the artwork, and the gameplay is smooth and easy to understand for a jam game. Nicely done!
Oct 3 05:45:40 11m 30s Endless Duel ♥ 1 Solid artwork, I like the little reticle mouse cursor, it really helps the experience. The shooting was very smooth and satisfying as well. I think there's a bit too much bloom/glow effect on everything, and a little more variety of mechanics would help the gameplay. Nice work overall!
Oct 3 09:59:43 4h 14m Iron Sword Tournament ♥ 1 Very fun game, and for me that's the number one most important thing! The vocal music track is excellent and the animation tells are good, although I'm not quite fast enough to properly react. Had to relay on spam clicking to get through the last few opponents. Other than that, excellent work!
Oct 3 23:09:15 13h 09m TENET SECONDS ♥ 1 Audio and visuals are on point here, and the puzzle design is quite solid as well! As its been mentioned, teaching the mechanics could have been done better as there was definitely some initial confusion. I didn't solve puzzle 10 but the solution from your video makes perfect sense. Only thing I found genuinely frustrating was the interactions between the 2 characters, particularly on level 9. I would often press jump and only one of them would actually jump due to some quirk in the system. Still, fantastic game!
Oct 4 00:49:23 1h 40m Cartesian Planes ♥ 0 Got a final score of 10 after a couple of failed attempts. RNG can really help or harm you I feel like, but overall the concept is solid and well executed. Nice work!
Oct 5 20:07:36 43h 18m Weighty Weenie ♥ 1 Funny concept and good art but the controls really need a re-work. I don't know what was intended but it seems like I could only grab ingredients early on while standing right next to them, and it felt kinda buggy. Then you mostly just have to push ingredients around with your shlong for the rest of the game, which actually worked fairly decently. The directions of WASD should not change based on rotation though. Nice job having the recipe be random each time, that threw me for a loop on my second attempt!
Oct 5 20:23:11 15m 35s Gravity ♥ 1 I'm in agreement with pretty much everyone else here, the art and audio are excellent but the gameplay could use a touch-up. My recommendation would be to have a check to see if the player has been free-floating for more than like, 5-10 seconds, and if that's the case then either: A - Spawn a planet in front of them with at least a second of safety to respond to asteroids B - Have an asteroid come and kill the player immediately. Basically making it so you HAVE to aim your shots toward nearby planets in order to survive Other than that little critique, very nicely done!
Oct 6 08:09:32 11h 46m Bug Zapper ♥ 1 Had fun with this one, died on wave 28. I could tell the pressure was increasing by about 1 additional targeted bee each wave later on since I missed 1 bee, then 2, 3, and 4+ on consecutive rounds. There's just too many to re-target at that point. Still, not a bad way to force an ending on an otherwise endless game. Very satisfying shooting/zapping sfx, circle of light, and particles to really sell the impact of the targeted bugs! Great tutorial to start the game too. Shows that even a super basic game can shine with the right polish, nice work!
Oct 6 08:39:13 29m 41s The Only Way Is Forward ♥ 1 I totally agree with what everyone else has said here - the atmosphere is top notch and even the there's not really any gameplay the level of polish makes it stand out for a Compo entry. Your storytelling had me hooked into your world and invested in what would happen, it's quite the experience! Very impressive!
Oct 6 09:22:51 43m 38s Ten To Zero ♥ 1 Ok so I downloaded the flickgame_.zip file, opened it, was confused why it was a basic paint editor, pressed help, and eventually figured out that flickgame is the name of a program used to make 'flickgames' in which you click on certain colors of an image to jump to different frames. YOUR flickgame is actually linked at the top. I got to the thank you for playing screen, so yay! Hard to judge this since the rules and mechanics for the game are just pre-defined by the program you are using. It was... fine, overall. I think some more intricate puzzle solving would help spice it up rather than having to just click on everything until you find the right color. Good work nonetheless!
Oct 7 01:51:41 16h 28m Pet the Damn Cat! ♥ 1 Very cute game, love the concept, art, and audio! I tried downloading the Windows build but it's just the .exe file - you'll need to zip the entire build folder and upload that instead. The Web build is very good though, excellent work!
