| Apr 5 12:03:40 | The Inevitable Relay | ♥ 1 | Great game, it took me a while to try and beat - just to find out that you can go for multiple laps! Very creative idea, loved the anxious "switch?" at low health. I also wondered for a moment how you programmed the segways following you, but of course they simply follow your route exactly :-P | |
| Apr 5 12:11:10 | 7m 30s | Hydropy | ♥ 1 | Got only to 2772 despite chopping down almost every tree - possibly because I played the web version? It was a relief to be able to click multiple trees at once. Nice execution of the concept! |
| Apr 6 13:43:52 | 25h 32m | Doomsday Cult | ♥ 1 | Cool artwork! It took me a few tries to figure out how the drawing mechanic worked, but I managed to get everything then :) cultists.png |
| Apr 6 13:52:46 | 8m 54s | Horde! | ♥ 3 | Cool with the 3D buildings, difficulty curve could use some work (I felt that the longer you play, the easier it gets). On my second try I figured out that the Enter key reset my health, I'm guessing this is a debugging feature you did not disable? |
| Apr 6 14:09:59 | 17m 13s | Flooded Caves | ♥ 1 | Beat it on normal, very hard was too hard. I love the concept and how you made it work in such a short time, especially the diversity in rock types combined with the limited digging power works well. It would be good to give the player a fast-forward option, and the water mechanic is not always working as expected (I had a mountain of water piling up at the start that would not move left). |
| Apr 6 14:25:17 | 15m 18s | I Sink Not | ♥ 3 | Stunning artwork, fitting music! I also love the building gameplay, though for me it could do away with the clicking for repairs - just designing a ship and perhaps defining a priority order for the repairs would be better - I'd prefer just watching the ship sail over frantic clicking, especially with the calming aesthetic. |
| Apr 6 14:45:16 | 19m 59s | The Inevitable Sinking | ♥ 3 | Wow first time I see such a huge team for a game jam! I'd be interested to read a bit about the development process, when and how did you make decisions for the game? What was the biggest challenge in making it? I think a big risk with such a large team is that everyone has their own idea what the game should be (especially the game designers) and noone feels ownership anymore. I liked the diversity and absurdity of the artwork, gameplay is not really my thing and the difficulty scaling is too sudden for me at level 3. |
| Apr 6 15:43:19 | 58m 03s | Gods of Divine Stuff: RAgnarök | ♥ 1 | Wave 12 on endless, really polished entry! The theming reminded me of Age of Mythology :) It would be nice to have some more diversity in the towers (e.g. shape of where they can shoot, synergies). |
| Apr 6 16:10:05 | 26m 46s | Earworm Jam | ♥ 4 | Wow, the moment where the camera turns to bring the earworm into view really got me xD Hard to play but a very nice entry. |
| Apr 6 19:38:25 | 3h 28m | Delay Bedtime | ♥ 1 | Amazing entry! Played it quite a few times but never got further than 8:25 - it seems like outrunning the adults is the most important in the long run. Really love the mix of mechanics, the well-programmed AI, the inevitable end because more adults enter. The music and sound are very fitting as well. |
| Apr 6 19:49:10 | 10m 45s | Running the Clock | ♥ 2 | Very cool, music could sound a bit more urgent (although technically you have all the time in the world of course). And what is the timer at the end of the game? It counts down from 50 years, so my own lifespan perhaps? |
| Apr 6 19:58:30 | 9m 20s | The Engineer | ♥ 2 | I enabled/disabled oxygen and the heat shield, but other than that mostly let the timer run out in 3:44. Really wondering what the rest of those crew members are doing, I'd expect them to panic or at least help out a little bit with the rationing/repairs, but they seem to have completely accepted their fate :-\ |
| Apr 6 20:26:02 | 27m 32s | Beavers Inc. | ♥ 1 | Made me love corporate interests and recruitment! Really nice concept, it just wasn't always clear to me where the river would flow exactly (clearly it's not just left to right), when a dam would disappear completely, and whether or not I'd be able to replace it. I feel like there are lots of creative directions to go with the mechanics :) |
| Apr 8 09:43:06 | 37h 17m | Nightwaker | ♥ 2 | ### Good - Atmosphere, everything goes together really well - Graphics, I love the Limbo style - Music also sets the scene ### Suggestions - Make it work on Firefox. For me the backgrounds were all black, I could only see the characters, eyes and JL. At first I assumed it was supposed to start like that. - ...or make it clear that people should use Chrome. - The keep-your-eyes-open mechanic could be a bit more varied/interesting than typing two letters. - Give stronger feedback when the player dies and why (monster or eyes closed?) - Currently backgrounds do not always extend to the bottom of the screen, music stutters at the end of the level. Good job overall! |
| Apr 8 09:50:18 | 7m 12s | Somnipathy | ♥ 4 | Incredible graphics and the "You've won" made me laugh xD The pace could be a bit quicker though and (though it may sound contradictory) it would feel a bit more fair to pause the monster during dialogues. |
| Apr 8 10:07:40 | 17m 22s | Nyan Tower | ♥ 5 | Made it to 1787 on my first try, the difficulty increased quite steeply at some point and I forgot that I could stun all the mice :-\ And then I broke it on my second play, realizing that button mashing is a valid strategy. Great game though, I love how the typing is only for one hand (we should have done that as well in [LD37](https://jellenauta.com/games/LudumDarePostCompo/LD37/)). Graphics are super cute. nyan_tower.png |
| Apr 8 10:14:01 | 6m 21s | Kinderkaos | ♥ 2 | Very nice, especially the singing children. My only frustration is that I lose my cookie if I press spacebar anywhere. |
| Apr 8 13:21:00 | 3h 06m | Cold and Alone | ♥ 1 | Day 28, I feel like I'm pretty much done here. I was half hoping that there would be some signs of alien life, ancient civilizations or signals from home out there for me to discover. Some way to further improve the hab or rover, or a way back home. With those, some music + sfx and better rover controls (I'd suggest mouse click + pathfinding) I could get used to this. |
| Apr 13 16:43:47 | 123h 22m | Over the Rainbow Bridge | ♥ 1 | I used to be a cat person but then I played this game. Excellent writing, it would be nice to have more of a game mechanic - currently it doesn't even seem to matter how many hearts and skulls you get. |
