Apr 30 19:52:59 Deep Mine ♥ 1 Cool concept, we actually had a similar idea for this jam but decided against it ^^' Also the music is pretty cool, gives instant terraria vibes! My one suggestion would be to add more obstacles and/or enemies so you can't just dig straight down
Apr 30 20:16:59 24m 00s 6 Feet Under ♥ 4 Amazing submission! At first the movement in the air felt too stiff, but when you get into it the movement is really fun :D The level design was also top notch and at times the game had some "Getting Over It" vibes (in a good way!) The artstyle is also cool, but at times it was a bit hard to see obstacles because of it
Apr 30 20:45:57 28m 58s Corporate Mole ♥ 2 @joedev Fun submission & good humor! I agree with @whysguy52 though, the mouse cursor should be hidden / frozen to the center... Because especially with a second monitor the free mouse is a bit annoying, otherwise great game!
Apr 30 22:20:52 1h 34m Dome Romantik ♥ 1 First game I actually completed! It had a perfect scope and everything felt super intuitive! I'd definitely play a longer version, maybe add some enemy variety and special stuff in the ground? Only nitpick would be that the audio seems to scratch a little? Could be on my end tho
Apr 30 23:00:15 39m 23s deepr ♥ 1 What a creative idea! Definitely a bit tricky to find something that even makes sense, but I guess that's also the fun part :D Only suggestion is adding some options to pick from for the picutre as well
Apr 30 23:19:37 19m 22s Deep Learning Simulator 2021 ♥ 1 At first I was totally confused because I only read the name of the game and no description. So I thought there was gonna be some actual machine learning xD As for the gameplay I wished for some way to cancel a initiated drag, as I found the angle to have made my planned move impossible. A reset button would've also been nice so that you don't have to wait too long when all hope is lost anyways. A more extreme idea could be changing the camera to free look. This way there wouldn't be any difficulty placing stuff the way you want and you could also plan ahead if nothing much is happening... Now I don't know if this defeats the purpose of the game though, so maybe limit the cam to not go too far away from the ball? Anyways congrats on the cool game!
Apr 30 23:40:56 21m 19s My Dentures! ♥ 1 This might sound ridiculous, but I actually got to the dentures on the first try... But I think I got some kind of bug, because I coudn't pick them up? Then I tried again and again and just couldn't beat it, so I really started to wonder how I got so lucky xD After some time I got less confused and actually started planning ahead. So the second completion was 100 times more satisfying! Overall really cool gameplay and super polished game! If you'd add an endless mode I'd definitely play this more :D EDIT: Something like more dimensions (maybe going back up, or horizontally) would be pretty dope too
May 1 13:51:16 14h 10m The Naked Truth ♥ 1 Mango best fruit confirmed! I'n contrast to other people here I didn't feel that it was too hard, my best time being 21 seconds :D Some progression would be nice though, as I didn't see much reason to keep on playing
May 1 14:22:37 31m 21s depthscraper ♥ 2 Personally I found the scrolling a bit annoying, since it interfered with the browser scrolling sometimes. It was also easy to lose track of your leftover moves and it was a bit unclear when you gain a new line at the bottom. But apart from all that it's definitely one of the most interesting games this jam, congrats! EDIT: Finally made the top 100 :D
May 1 15:04:52 42m 15s Below the Ocean ♥ 1 At first I was worried that the rope wasn't gonna be used in a meaningful way as more new platforming aspects were introduced, but you really nailed blending all of the mechanics together! Sometimes it also felt like there were multiple possible solutions, which was nice :D If you develop this further I think some more tricky puzzle sections would be cool. Overall probably the most fun entry I've played yet, definitely need more than 10 minutes of this!
May 2 14:11:59 23h 07m Ziggurat ♥ 1 Such a cool tiny world you've created here! I really like the imaginative visuals, great colors and shapes! The narrative was also cute and I could see this is a longer game where the story is told a bit indirectly. Not sure why, but the manga "Blame" also came to my mind. Unfortunately I also encountered scartchy audio in the web build and I agree with some others that the up direction for jumping doesn't feel so great. Apart from that I also noticed some gaps between the grid tiles. Though depending on the engine you're using this should be an easy fix. Lastly I recommend some telegraphing for moving downwards, as it is sometimes hard to know where you can safely land. One option could be to add some collectibles like coins that tell the player where there is floor. Another would be to add a dynamic camera that has a look-ahead feature. Hope that didn't come across too negative, overall I really liked it :D
May 11 19:58:53 221h 46m Deepest Sword ♥ 2 Okay you definitely won
May 11 20:04:09 5m 16s Nostril Navigator ♥ 0 Thanks I hate it
May 18 18:43:25 166h 39m Mind Pit ♥ 1 Really surprising this is still in the danger zone! Overall cool concept and it took me some time to figure out I wasn't playing some variation of rock paper scissors xD But on that note, if you search for "JanKenUP" on the playstore you'll see some mechanics that could fit this type of game. The sound and graphics where also nice and the dubious text also made it feel mysterious, which helped me see the game as a puzzle!
