| Apr 27 22:18:06 | The Void | ♥ 1 | I was so confused at first because it seemed like there wasn't enough room to get past the first pair of spikes during the transition... then I realized that I could jump 🤦 Agree with some other comments about checkpoints, it's frustrating to start all the way back at the beginning when I fumble a jump, but execution was decent otherwise, good concept, fit the theme, relaxing but spooky music. Good work overall! | |
| Apr 27 22:35:08 | 17m 02s | Monkey Business | ♥ 3 | Funny theme for an RTS style game. Cracked me up a bit that the tutorial text just piles up if not dismissed. Took a little bit to understand the interactions but shows promise. Good work overall, I got that tasty golden banana. |
| Apr 27 22:35:52 | 44s | Dr. Trancy Pants, M.D. | ♥ 1 | Clever take on the theme, going deeper and a magical trance. Gameplay is a bit simplistic, but gets the job done. Got the magician fully into trance but couldn't figure out how to wake him up even with the TV on and the wolf howling. Good work overall! |
| Apr 28 23:28:34 | 24h 52m | Journey To The Center Of The World | ♥ 2 | Great work! The main menu music set a good hype level to start things off with. Thought it could have been a good track for the main gameplay music too, but that music got the job done even though it was pretty short. Didn't really understand what the different pickups were doing for me, but it was very clear what should be picked up versus what should be avoided. Definitely caught on to the progress meter for depth, but not really the other two progress bars. Maybe a small icon over each one could have helped clear it up? All things considered it's a fun game that's well implemented and could be the base for a simple mobile game if you wanted to expand on it. Made it just past the halfway mark on my first playthrough. Really nice job! :D |
| Apr 28 23:49:17 | 20m 43s | Deepest Sword | ♥ 0 | What a great game. Just brilliant. I'm not really a fan of playing masochistic games like getting over it (though watching them is a different story) but the art style and humor in this one puts it over the top. As others have pointed out, how the different sword lengths impact the path through each section is really clever. Great work overall, it'll be a travesty if this doesn't win in at least a category or two. |
| Apr 29 00:07:30 | 18m 13s | Jupiter Drop | ♥ 1 | Cool idea, took a little bit to figure out how to play, but it made sense after the first drop. Also had some difficulty figuring out how to split the different between recharging and gaining money, but figured that out too. Good take on the theme with a clever interpretation for gameplay. Nice work! |
| Apr 29 00:27:46 | 20m 16s | The Greed of the Dwarves | ♥ 2 | Very chill clicker game, pretty straightforward early on, but progresses nicely. Balancing in clickers is notoriously hard, so kudos for putting one together in a tight timeline and making it complete. Could be the foundation of a nice mobile game. Great job! |
| Apr 29 00:32:39 | 4m 53s | WHITE RABBIT | ♥ 1 | Neat game, a puzzle platformer where the puzzle is searching out the exit to a maze. Liked the simple cute art style, good audio, nice bloom sort of effects. The controls were a little finicky sometimes, but it wasn't too bad. As far as suggestions, I agree that having the camera lerp towards the player position would probably be nice, but also some zoom effects, particles, and maybe screen shake could have a pretty big impact. Nice work! |
| Apr 29 01:11:40 | 39m 01s | Search for the Quacken | ♥ 0 | Was very confused at first about where the cash was, but figured it out eventually. Maybe a post-submission update to fix the texture :) Wasn't entirely sure about what my depth limits were and died a couple times because I couldn't ascend quickly enough once I noticed I was taking damage. Overall good graphics, good take on the theme, a little on the slow side but it seemed to fit the mood with the music and such. Great work! |
| Apr 30 03:53:54 | 26h 42m | Kibble Caper | ♥ 1 | Fun idea, got a little frustrated with the slippery movement and the fact that the bats didn't always give you hearts if you caught them, but it's a good game with a fun take on the theme. Great work! |
| Apr 30 04:29:52 | 35m 58s | dark mind | ♥ 1 | Really cool game, fun to just sit back and watch. Tried to figure out what the cost benefit was to just charging straight down as fast as possible vs building up and didn't really get a good feel for it. Managed to make it to level 26 in about 30 minutes and had a good time. Great work! |
| Apr 30 04:42:31 | 12m 39s | Deeper & Deeper Research Ltd. | ♥ 1 | Nice game! Cool puzzle mechanic. I did manage to get into a state where I could control two bodies at the same time which made it tricky, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Great work! |
| Apr 30 04:54:15 | 11m 44s | Deep Breaths | ♥ 1 | Great game! Fun take on the theme and a pretty solid implementation with some nice audio and graphics. My only real complaint is that the controls were a bit slippery so it got tough when there were more of the negative mood clouds around. I'm pretty bad at racers so only managed subconscious depth 7 with 4265 mindfulness cultivated, but enjoyed it a lot. Good work! |
| Apr 30 05:35:45 | 41m 30s | Blackout | ♥ 6 | This is amazing! What a great game, can't believe it was made in the jam deadline, so impressive! Very fun art style, the audio really punctuates the mood, the story has depth, and there's a good balance between finding items and figuring out what to do with them. Only really got stuck for a bit figuring out how to get into the bathroom. Love how the game takes a turn towards the end and the mood pivots on a dime, then twists again at the very end. Extra points for the photo gallery and references to the creators (plus the star wars figures on the bookshelf, surprised they're recognizable in so few pixels)! Really very impressive work, great job! |
| Apr 30 05:47:19 | 11m 34s | Upset Crab | ♥ 1 | Nice work! Liked the character styles and gameplay. The attack may have been a little slow, but it worked fine, puts it on the player to commit to a swing. Would have been interesting to have some powerups and music, but this is still a great entry. Good job! |
| Apr 30 06:17:24 | 30m 05s | The Right Way | ♥ 1 | Good spooky atmosphere. The footsteps were like a beating heart. Wish there had been some powerups or something so it wouldn't always take five hits to beat the static people the whole way through. In the end, I succumbed to the pipeline. Great work! |
