| Apr 27 02:29:34 | Chthonic Brilliance | ♥ 2 | Very cute! I really enjoyed the puzzle design, the mechanics are simple to learn but there were multiple puzzles where I didn't immediately see the solution which made it more satisfying when I finally got it right! Really well done! There were times where I wish the "move multiple tiles in one click" thing knew how to go up stairs but its such a minor gripe I didn't mind too much! | |
| Apr 27 03:46:17 | 1h 16m | Abyss. | ♥ 1 | Absolutely *loved* the atmosphere on this one! Really really well done visual and audio presentation. It felt a little punishing when I found I'd gone the wrong way and had to very slowly meander my way back to where I was supposed to go, but I think the patience helped with the mood! |
| Apr 27 03:55:38 | 9m 21s | The Caves Of Caseous | ♥ 0 | I also had some similar issues with what felt like the character being pushed around or the screen filling up with apples or skeletons like, walking through walls, but considering its a proof of concept when putting those bugs aside I really did enjoy just kinda wandering around exploring the caves and the buildings! If it were more complete I think I'd really enjoy it as a proper roguelike, the art is really cute and the space was fun to explore, falling down a pit and having the cavern below fade into view or finding a building nestled in a chunk of otherwise awkwardly steep mountain was a nice experience. |
| Apr 27 12:45:25 | 8h 49m | Caverns of Mal'Dur | ♥ 2 | Although I struggled with some of the fonts (the end of run font was particularly hard for me) I still really enjoyed trying to figure out the adjacency bonuses through experimentation! It could've benefited from a little ambience or sound but overall I did quite enjoy how figuring out where to place my cards made me think quite hard! Well done! |
| Apr 27 12:51:26 | 6m 01s | TREE | ♥ 1 | It took me a while to get used to having to juggle energy and water but once I got the hang of it I had fun with it! The art is very vibrant and cute which is nice too! Overall a fun and interesting idea! I liked it! |
| Apr 27 13:12:38 | 21m 12s | Capsule Fall | ♥ 0 | A very simple game but quite enjoyable for what it is! I liked that you used the terminal, its not something I see very often! A basic idea but done well, I like it! |
| Apr 27 13:40:38 | 28m 00s | Red Archer | ♥ 1 | I really enjoyed how fighting the enemies chained with the movement, it made chaining multiple arrow dashes together in a row incredibly satisfying! The limited palette is also really nice to see in a 3D game, I liked the visual style quite a lot. My only real gripe is that I consistently struggled with arrows not firing on a held click, It really fought against my instincts to hold M1 and then release it to fire, only shooting on a fast click felt strange. All in all though I quite enjoyed my time with it, surprisingly satisfying! |
| Apr 27 16:21:14 | 2h 40m | Infinity Dive | ♥ 0 | Oh my goodness this is genius!! At first I didn't get it but after like, 10 seconds I was in love with the idea, its brilliant! Absolutely incredible on every front, the presentation, the idea, the execution, its so simple and yet so well done! |
| Apr 27 19:06:55 | 2h 45m | Top Down | ♥ 1 | I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do other than "throw a thing a few times" but I still enjoyed trying to set up orbits and playing with the way things arced! |
| Apr 27 19:17:11 | 10m 16s | Mineshaft | ♥ 1 | Really nifty! Having an AI to play against is a really really nice thing to have and its impressive that you were able to design a card game and have an AI to play against in just 48 hours! I'd honestly consider a print and play version of this to play IRL with friends! |
| Apr 27 21:45:06 | 2h 27m | The last Ark | ♥ 3 | I quite enjoyed it! I think you've managed to balance the right amount of "juggling people around to keep all the bars up" without it being too tedious. It did kinda feel a little bad when I'd lose due to running out of oil just because I hadn't been able to find any, but I guess that's just the nature of RNG. Other than that the audio and visual presentation is quite nice, I like the silly noises the people make! |
| Apr 27 23:00:33 | 1h 15m | EARTHWYRM | ♥ 0 | This is my favourite game I've played so far I think, the idea is wonderful, the puzzles were tricky but fair in a way that felt really satisfying, its so polished! I'm blown away you were able to do all this in 48 hours, its so good!! |
| Apr 29 20:21:41 | 45h 21m | Deeper into hell | ♥ 1 | This gave me a lot of nostalgia for games I used to play as a kid, I really quite enjoyed it! The controls could be a little unwieldy at times especially once I had a lot of velocity upgrades but also it kinda added to the charm of how silly it felt to be zooming around at high speed, and once I had quite a few shooting speed upgrades the overlapping explosion noises could be too loud to be comfortable, but overall it was a blast, great job! |
| Apr 29 20:27:31 | 5m 50s | Baby's First Concussion | ♥ 1 | I really liked the idea you had here and the art was cute! The visual presentation of going down a level and seeing the next level in the background was also really neat! Unfortunately I really struggled with the controls due to only having control of momentum on the ground, so I wasn't able to get that far in the game, but still a good submission! |
| Apr 29 20:35:33 | 8m 02s | Get to the choppa! | ♥ 1 | This was really cute! The story is light hearted and the art is nice, and I really quite liked the handling on the helicopter, this was honestly a joy to play, really well done! |
| Apr 29 20:42:48 | 7m 15s | Upset Crab | ♥ 1 | Oh this is absolutely adorable, I love the little crab! Such a fun idea, the attack can be little clunky at times but ultimately I still really enjoyed it, well done! |
| Apr 30 09:05:55 | 12h 23m | Fallumns | ♥ 2 | Oh my god this is the most incredible game I've played so far, 100% my favourite submission! Definitely gives me frog fractions vibes with the twist, I wasn't expecting it at all, I was just enjoying the match 3 experience and was preparing to give feedback like "I don't really see the relation to the theme but its nice and polished" and then you absolutely bamboozled me. Legitimate 10/10, incredible job, well done! The fact you don't have 100 ratings yet is a crime. |
| Apr 30 09:22:27 | 16m 32s | Mined mines | ♥ 1 | I'm a big fan of minesweeper so I definitely got a kick out of this, although my feedback is similar to what others have already said about removed mines adjusting the surrounding numbers does make finding mines very easy. Still though it was an enjoyable new way to experience minesweeper so I had a good time with it! Well done! |
| May 3 01:09:29 | 63h 47m | Morse Caverns | ♥ 1 | You're probably not going to agree with me and thats fine but I think having zero tutorial is a mistake. I tried several attempts at this and the best score I ever got was 9 and that was after randomly making a bunch of moves, after several attempts of blind floundering I figured out I could put things down and then collect everything on a row, but I had absolutely no idea what anything meant so I had no way of making informed decisions, the cards I could place and the resources I accumulated had no meaning to me and despite several attempts I couldn't find any connections between one another. Even once I figured out the controls I just couldn't make heads or tails of what I was supposed to be doing or why. Even a very small amount of information at the start about "hey your first card does this, it generates these resources, other cards do other things, etc" would've helped immensely, because as it stands even after spending quite a while with the game it just felt impenetrable. The concept itself seems interesting and I'm sure if I was actually able to parse the outcomes of my actions and make informed decisions then I would enjoy it more, because it definitely seems like you've got something here, but its unfortunately lost on me because the game has zero desire to provide me with meaningful information. On a much smaller note I found the morse code detector a little hard to get used to, the threshold of what was a dot and what was a dash seemed to be right on the line of how long i'd tap for a dot, so i'd often get my inputs wrong. In a perfect world where we had infinite time to work on our games it might've been nice to have the game ask me to do a few dots and a few dashes so it knew what my rhythm was, but its a minor complaint otherwise and I managed to play around it. All in all I think you really do probably have something really interesting here, its just a bit too intentionally obscure for me to figure out what it wants. |
| May 3 01:26:29 | 17m 00s | The Dwarven Brigade | ♥ 1 | Really interesting idea! I struggled quite a bit to get dwarves to actually go where I wanted, I'm not sure if it was me not understanding how the pylons worked or if it was just me getting unreasonably unlucky with random dwarf logic but there were a lot of situations where the deeper my mine was the less dwarves would end up navigating that way and when it came to digging new tunnels and placing new pylons sometimes dwarves just wouldn't ever walk over to the new pylon spot and i'd have to dig another tunnel to the same place. Other than pathing issues though I quite enjoyed it! It gave me lemming vibes which I liked! A good entry, well done! |
