Oct 4 23:43:33 Core Defense ♥ 2 Time Spent: ~3 minutes It's a pretty repetitive game, and the difficulty curve is pretty steep (though, it might be because it's suuuper early here). I like the game, though. One thing I particularly like is the fact you're rotating around the body. I know a lot of games in this style have you playing as the object in the center, so aiming there is easy. This gives it a bit more of a challenge, which I really like.
Oct 4 23:56:07 12m 34s X REALITIES AWAY FROM HOME ♥ 1 Time Spent: ~4 minutes This game as actually pretty fun to try, but it's incredibly hard. At 10% efficiency, I feel like the ship doesn't move fast enough for me to be able to do anything meaningful. If I don't get lucky in the first two rooms, I don't think I can even win. At 100% efficiency, I won. Then tried 3 realities and won again. Oddly enough, I ran into a weird bug that kept happening. The right portal would still send me to the start. I knew it was the right portal because it had worked a previous time. It would fail one time, but work the next, like nothing went wrong to begin with. It became a bit annoying, especially if it didn't work the first time and I tried a different portal thinking the correct one was wrong. Overall, though, I like it! Maybe have like a "rocket" button that'll let you use some extra oxygen to go faster? Just something that'll help the player if they know the path.
Oct 5 07:02:01 7h 05m Groovy Loops ♥ 1 Time Taken: ~12 minutes I absolutely loved this game! I know I watched you code it and playtest it, so the solutions came really easily, but that didn't make it any less fun. Honestly, I spent maybe the first two minutes grooving to the music. After my first playthrough, I went back and tried seeing how few blocks I could use. It was a lot of fun!
Oct 6 08:20:41 25h 18m The Cycle ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this game! It took a few attempts to figure out what I really had to do, but eventually managed to get it. It was pretty challenging at some levels too
Oct 7 13:23:52 29h 03m Samurai Inabar ♥ 1 I kinda get where you're coming from for the theme. You keep going back through the waves until you can afford the item. It's a bit of a stretch. It's like getting a game over and starting over, calling it a loop. But as a standalone game and ignoring the theme, it's actually pretty fun! I like the fact you can see where you'll go. I jumped in without reading the controls, so it took me a few tries before figuring out you can walk around with WASD. I think I like it better without moving.
Oct 7 20:13:26 6h 49m The Titan's grave ♥ 1 I beat it in 3:36. Not too difficult, but also not too easy. It was a pretty enjoyable game!
Oct 11 14:37:04 90h 23m Backpack Hero ♥ 1 Your game was alright. I really liked all the music, I actually stopped to listen to it all after playing. This game has potential, too. It could use some balancing, as others have said, but I think, with some effort after the jam, this could be a fun boss rush game.
Oct 11 14:56:29 19m 25s Escape The Rings ♥ 0 This is a pretty fun game! Reminds me of Super Hexagon a bit. Controls felt a little awkward and not very keyboard friendly (it's probably better controlled via controller, which I don't have). For the green section, since the hazards disappear and reappear, I think it would be nice to have some sort of hint that "the hazard will show up here!" Also, when you lose, the level is reset from the initial state, which makes this a bit easier, since you know how/where to go. Maybe randomize the starting positions? Overall, a pretty good game that I'd be interested in playing in the future.
Oct 11 20:09:51 5h 13m Aboard ♥ 1 Overall, it was a pretty fun game! I like the aesthetic, and the tutorial hallway was great. I wish I'd known sooner that going over a tile twice was bad (maybe I missed that instruction). The visuals were a bit hard on the eyes at times, especially in the giant 5x5 room, but I definitely think the mood was well kept.
Oct 11 20:25:24 15m 33s Countercl0ckwise ♥ 1 You definitely fit the theme in a really cute (graphically) game. The audio felt fitting to the game. Though, it's really easy to cheese the game. You get your jump back when you collide with something, so all you have to do is rub against one of the white obstacles (I found the tall one is best) and let it push you to the roof. From there, you can jump infinitely. Easy way to avoid obstacles. Overall though, I liked this!
Oct 13 20:05:41 47h 40m Hyperloop ♥ 1 I really liked this game! It was pretty fun to play, and I would definitely pay for something like this. Saw it on "BuriedThings" on Twitch and just had to try it myself. Keep up the great work! The website isn't letting me attach an image, so here's a link to a screenshot with my high score of 159.36 seconds! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rU0uzu16YDIHMhfixzT949dxWBoVdSe2/view?usp=sharing
Oct 14 20:21:13 24h 15m Reloop ♥ 1 I saw your comment on my post and just HAD to try your game. I loved it! I can definitely see the similarities between our games.
Oct 19 20:48:27 120h 27m VintageTime ♥ 0 I wouldn't necessarily call this a rhythm game (my movements hardly aligned with the music). I would definitely have liked to be able to loop on my own time, instead of having to listen to the entire loop constantly. I found a decent amount of time was spent not even playing, just listening. Your style is very consistent across all assets, which is also great.
Oct 19 20:58:28 10m 01s Outside The Loop ♥ 0 This is an alright game. The graphics weren't great, but they got the point across (kudos to you for the person, that was somewhat detailed, but the animation felt really off). The world felt really dark as well and it really needs music. But you had a good idea. The execution could have used a little more work though. Still though, for the time frame you had, it's not bad!
Oct 20 08:45:15 11h 46m WoodStone_02 ♥ 1 This was a fun game! It reminds me of a lot of old board games, and felt very nostalgic. I played a few rounds of this with my parents. It took a bit to figure out how things worked, but we had fun in the end!
Oct 26 20:27:01 155h 41m Cycle Breakdown ♥ 1 I absolutely loved the game! Some stages were difficult, but it was soooo much fun! The hardest part was probably the "Don't Miss," but that's probably because I'm just bad at gaming in general xD
Oct 26 21:49:41 1h 22m Magmania ♥ 1 This was a pretty fun game! It took me a few tries to realize that I actually needed printers to win. I thought I could rush to get the victory item, but I guess not. I also really liked the music!
