| May 3 06:34:50 | 2019 Game - Ludum Dare 44 | ♥ 1 | Challenging game. The story was nice. I wish the buttons were in the same screen position on the HTML game so I could click through and get started after watching the story the first time. I like the pixel art, nice colors. The music was enjoyable too, and fit the mood of the game. | |
| May 3 06:50:29 | 15m 39s | Herding Cats | ♥ 0 | This was fun herding cats around with a laser pointer to solve maze puzzles. I think it is easy to learn, sometimes hard to control as the cats have free reign, so sometimes they slip away from their intended spots. Great effort in 48 hours. |
| May 3 06:58:14 | 7m 45s | Lifetime | ♥ 1 | I liked the instructions. The colors are nice. Sampi rocks. 133 was my high score. I enjoyed your roguelike. I really need to make one too. |
| May 3 07:05:24 | 7m 10s | Base Gold | ♥ 0 | It has lots of potential for the future. I liked the gameplay. I probably should have played with a mouse, as i was clicking a lot on my trackpad. But, I had fun and I liked the variety in how the enemy units would decide to mine for gold, attack, and so on. They don't really do anything to defend their base, so it was pretty easy to just build units for that purpose. |
| May 3 08:18:38 | 1h 13m | Brain Jam | ♥ 4 | HaHa! Such a cool game. It resonated with me, since I pretty much only make games for game jams and it is all about life/work balance. |
| May 3 08:28:42 | 10m 04s | Fortress Knights | ♥ 1 | Groovy dance moves! I like the Pilotwings-ish landing at the beginning and the fun dance moves at the end. |
| May 3 18:04:35 | 9h 35m | Happiness Life | ♥ 1 | Fun game. It was hard to click and get those emails out! I guess email does suck the life out of you though! Great job with the theme and it captured the experience of modern life. LOL! |
| May 3 18:15:05 | 10m 30s | The Akolythe and the Amulet of Andhor | ♥ 1 | Nice job! I've been wanting to play a game like this for a while! Awesome. I enjoyed the maze and there were plenty of dangerous things in there. Those traps are really sensitive. I liked the balance of choosing whether to use the fireball or smacking enemies with the wand. Plus, I like how you incorporated opportunities to navigate around enemies! |
| May 3 18:20:19 | 5m 14s | Grim Deeper | ♥ 1 | Nice experience! I enjoyed the art and sound especially. I like the soft lighting effects as well. |
| May 3 18:29:04 | 8m 45s | Faustian Sands | ♥ 0 | I starved to death! I found some bandages, then I gave a priest some food, he gave me advice on a shortcut, then I tried to ford a river which soaked my medical supplies, and then I starved. Then 4 miles to go and I bled to death, because I had bandaged a soldier along the way. This game was cool. I really enjoyed it. Great job! |
| May 6 06:57:51 | 60h 28m | DEADline | ♥ 3 | That was really cool, and really hard. I think I got 7th place at one time, but that was really lucky. In the future, it'd be nice to randomly place the words, but not so your only choice is to jump into a saw or the lake of fire. Great feeling otherwise. Good job! |
| May 6 07:18:11 | 20m 20s | Oink Royale | ♥ 1 | I went for over 6 minutes, circling the mounds of exploding pigs, collecting all their money, it was a very effective strategy. At the end i decided to join and go out in a blaze of glory. Fun concept. |
| May 7 05:41:11 | 22h 23m | BILLS v2.0 | ♥ 0 | A game about money that dodges money to live. This is a fun idea. I think the collision detection does not work, but I was working on a strategy that involves moving my dollar bill around in circles, sometimes clockwise and sometimes counterclockwise. I really like how the big coins and small coins make it asymmetric and you have to really think about what you are doing. I had fun. |
| May 7 05:50:29 | 9m 18s | LYFE | ♥ 0 | Fun concept. I like how you could interact with different people. I couldn't tell if taking them to the LYFE corp ATM machine? was taking their life.. This had a certain mood to it. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. |
| May 7 05:59:49 | 9m 20s | upsplat | ♥ 0 | The jumping mechanic was mysterious at first, but then I figured out it was based on distance (almost like a slingshot). I had fun working my way to the top. Sometimes the game would end unexpectedly. The music and sound effects fit the game and added mood. Nice job! |
| May 7 06:17:30 | 17m 41s | PizzoTyping | ♥ 1 | This was fun. I liked the mood with the mob controlling your store (darn racketeers!). I made it to the end, but sometimes it felt like the game didn't register a key press. Folks already mentioned the repetition in the words. This is okay sometimes, but not all the time. Have you thought about scrambling an array rather than picking random words? Great execution though. |
| May 7 06:25:45 | 8m 15s | My Life is Not Currency | ♥ 1 | I always wanted to play a Quaker--he's the LIFE of the party! Fun game. I enjoyed the increasing complexity of the maps. Sometimes the collision detection doesn't work and as a result the game is too easy to beat. But it's nice and easy for those not wanting to get pummeled to death in the first minute. Nice job! |
| May 7 06:39:09 | 13m 24s | Biomass | ♥ 1 | Nice game. You already mentioned the issues. Does not work very well with a trackpad, but a mouse was just fine. I enjoyed the challenge, I think as the game gets harder, resetting everything to zero can be too much of a punishment. But, great concept overall! |
| May 8 06:11:53 | 23h 32m | Overburnt | ♥ 2 | Nice job. I enjoyed the resource management. I like the challenge of deciding whether to prepare swords in advance, or risk wasting time doing so if they wanted wood vs steel ones. Thanks for the fun! |
| May 8 06:17:02 | 5m 09s | Stilts | ♥ 2 | I enjoyed the story--it totally had me hooked. The story almost had a echo of the thneeds in Dr Seuss' The Lorax. I'm glad I did the right thing in the end. I noticed that you could theoretically buy as many stilts as you want without any negative effect. |
| May 8 06:51:08 | 34m 06s | Computers in a Nutshell | ♥ 1 | Wow...that was a cliffhanger. I like the social commentary of Auto-saves. In the end, I skipped the log files and tried to ... ERR--ARR-BLEEP ... and after that I GORF-C64-VIC-20-DFSDFSDFASDF ... and then I was able to start the game and play! I think my life was currency playing!!! |
| May 8 07:05:27 | 14m 19s | Arrow of Light | ♥ 2 | Nice job. I enjoyed the art and music especially. I liked the simple mechanic used in the game which made it easy to learn. I think there was a nice balance of wanting to keep trying versus being too hard. |
| May 8 07:40:14 | 34m 47s | Assault on Crown Archipelago | ♥ 0 | This was fun. I like pirates. The way the glowing coins disappeared after collecting them reminded me of the game Descent where blowing out the lights made the whole level dark. I enjoyed the monkey enemies though they got a little repetitious after a while. Altogether, this feels like a AAA game compared to many LD games--no wonder you all were tired. |
| May 9 06:05:54 | 22h 25m | Life for Likes | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed this entry. This was a nice social commentary on Facebook. I liked the graphics and it went fine with the music. One of the most polished LD games I've seen this go around. Great job! |
| May 9 06:18:28 | 12m 34s | A Burning Rabbit Experiment | ♥ 0 | Nice game--very polished. I was hoping maybe the music would be in. Game is very tough, but I kept wanting to get better. Good job! |
| May 9 06:24:49 | 6m 21s | Ludum Dare #44 Submission | ♥ 0 | Fun entry. I was drawn to it because of 2.5D. I enjoyed the graphics. Good job! |
