| Apr 24 02:56:40 | Music Make Me Shoot My Gun | ♥ 0 | Definitely an interesting concept, definitely would have a little more fun if it was mor ebalanced, but I really like the game and think something like this has potential. I think one problem is that I just kind of stared at the rythym part of the game the whole time and ignored the towers and everything after placing them. It didn't feel like ther was a point to looking at them | |
| Apr 24 03:03:43 | 7m 03s | Splitscreen Hide N Seek | ♥ 0 | I wouldn't necessarily call this game a combination of two game genres, but it's pretty fun to play. Although I think the jarring movement was intentional, it was kind of hard to figure out movement mechanics + it did give me a slight headache with how jarring it was. Definitely could do with a little more polishing, but I did enjoy playing it! |
| Apr 24 03:11:00 | 7m 17s | ELLIPTRICS | ♥ 0 | THe music in the game was really nice and soothing, it fit the theme of the graphics, which was great. I tried really hard, but I couldn't figure out how to play the game, all I could figure out was that I could right click and make the circle shrink faster. I wish I knew how to play, the game looked cool! |
| Apr 24 03:31:24 | 20m 24s | Stirfry's Rhythm Rave | ♥ 1 | I really did enjoy the game a lot. The graphics were cool, themusic was fun and upbeat and the game was a challenge. I got stock on the last part of the wall jumping level, I found it difficult to time the jumps properly for the entire way up while also focusing on the arrow keys. I would suggest making the heart beat match the beat of the music. I tried playing the with and without music. While I still got stuck on the wall jump level, I found that playing without music was easier because the beat being off from the heart beat really does make the game more difficult. I didn't want to to turn off the music because it really was fun. I think one of your next steps would be to match the beat of the music to the heart beat, another step wouldbe to make it so that you don't have to deal with arrow keys when wall jumping, maybe a little more distance from a wall jump? I'm not going to nitpick about tuning like that, but if you do tune the game a little bit it would be that much better. I enjoyed the game, good job! |
| Apr 24 03:46:24 | 15m 00s | The Colossal Carrot Caper | ♥ 0 | I'm not sure how incompatible the genres were, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this game. It seems that there is some sort of memory leak problem. The first time I was about to get through the orange field level and the game crashed due to running out of memory. Fortunately i was able to beat it after trying again. I would have liked it if the wolves didn't chase you until the ends of the earth when you get caught, maybe have the wolves stop chasing after a while? Other than that I had a lot of fun with the game, the music was nice, the assets were really cool and I definitely liked the perspective of the game. Like others have said the sync was a little off with the music and the circles, but it was okay once you got used to it. Great job! |
| Apr 24 03:55:49 | 9m 25s | The King's League | ♥ 0 | I don't think these are incompatible themes, however this was a good game. I like that you a future plans list showing that you definitely want to improve on this game. I liked the weapon variety. Some bugs I found while playing: when picking up weapons, sometimes you get the wrong symbol. For example the time I picekd up the bow and it looked like a sword in the weapons HUD. Enemies can go invisible. It was pretty spooky when a set of floating hands with no body started running after me. |
| Apr 24 04:22:08 | 26m 19s | Bloodew Valley | ♥ 2 | This game was really good, I can't put into words how good this game is for a game done in a weekend. The first time playing I definitely planted way too many carrots and got demolished by the demonic carrot ghosts. it was great! The next time Grandma murdered me, it was great! Then I actually got somewhat decent at the mechanics and started rolling in the money, but some speed upgrades, some gun upgrades and everything. I could definitely see myself playing this game a lot more. Your art and animations are so well done. There are some weird things with the game though, you can't exit or return to the main menu without dying, the buttons don't work. I probably wouldn't have figured that bug out for a while if I didn't have to sleep. Sometimes I phased through the ground when opening the door to exit the house and I think the time of day needs a small update. For example at one point it was 0:10 PM. I definitely want to play more of this game and would love if you developed it more. The two main criticisms I have are the theme of the Jam and the game and the feel of the gun. The game is great but I don't think that it combines two themes that are incompatible. I haven't really seen these themes combined before, so it's innovative, but not really incompatible. The gun felt a little weird to use, maybe a visual indicator of using the gun would help, a bigger crosshair would also be better. Thanks for making this game! |
| Apr 25 01:55:51 | 21h 33m | Darkade | ♥ 2 | Loved the CRTesk feel of the game and how innovative it was. Great asthetics and sound. There was one point where I ended up going right for 5 minutes straight until I realized that I probably shouldn't be doing that and had to go left for 5 minutes straight to get back, whoops. Other than that inconvenience I'm glad I played it. |
| Apr 25 02:32:17 | 36m 26s | DinoGrow | ♥ 2 | I'm not sure what two genres this game combines, but It was fun. I got to put my friend in his place, which was fun. I'm super impressed that you got an online multiplayer game to work in the course of a weekend, kudos to the devs. I definitely would have liked some sound or visual feedback that registers when you hit another player, my friends and I didn't know whether or not damage was working until one of us died. Still had fun . |
| Apr 25 02:42:07 | 9m 50s | Fightin' Words - Real Typing Strategy | ♥ 1 | I wasn't able to play the webgl version of the game (didn't register my inputs), but fortunately the downloadable version of the game worked fine! As someone with fairly bad typing accuracy it was pretty difficult, but I enjoyed myself. The controls were clunky at first, but it was a lot easier to play as I got to memorize the commands. It would be great if the game had some audio, but I enjoyed the game a lot. Good job! |
