Dec 4 16:02:54 Flight of the Shaperate ♥ 0 Quite nice little fast-paced shooter. I agree with Falk and Zinkler that the controls felt quite sensitive and very jank at points. I quite liked the sound effects and fit in quite nicely with the game. I also found the UI quite unintuitive (everything at the top) in fact I didn't even notice it until my second playthrough. I think it would make a very nice game if the controls were a bit heavier and the UI was a bit more, nicely laid out.
Dec 4 16:21:32 18m 38s Corporate Ladder ♥ 0 Wrist hurts, this game is very clicker(ish) has a very certain Adventure Capitalist feel to it, you start small but slowly build your way up. I think this is the kind of game that would work really well on phones but on PC it's very awkward. I like the simple pixel art graphics, it all blends in well together. I find it a tad bit awkward how I seem to be able to take infinite days of sick without any repercussions (at least from what I've seen). Overall a pretty nice clicker game that would be even better if it just had straight up more content.
Dec 4 16:39:21 17m 49s Superhero Problems ♥ 0 Hey, this is a very good game for the Compo. I loved whizzing around the city raining hellfire on ~~innocent civillians~~ villains. Flying was very responsive and enjoyable, warping was extremely fun and in general, it's a very, very fun game. The game also has beautiful pixel art, the background really adds some depth to this world and in general, the game looks and sounds great. My biggest gripe with this game is its difficulty. I've never felt in great panic during the game. In fact, I think I only lost more than half of my health once. I eventually conceded at ~~100,000 dead civilians~~ 44 dead villains otherwise a very, very enjoyable game. Well Done!
Dec 4 16:57:49 18m 28s Hoarding Havoc ♥ 2 I'm setting up a rock fund so I can get all the rocks! Otherwise a nice little card game with a nice twist that beautifully incorporates the theme. I liked the retro sound effects, added some nice authenticity to the game. It felt pretty empty after a while since the pacing is a bit quite slow. Still a very solid game.
Dec 4 17:15:52 18m 03s Drink For Money ♥ 0 Solid little game. I'm a big fan of the Art Style. The card-boards matched with the 3D items actually work a lot better than most may think and adds a very unique charm to the game. I love how you incorporated the theme into this game. I think I got 3 or 4 out of the 7 endings and they were quite charming in their own respect. Sound was quite insignificant I thought but Gameplay wise I loved managing my little bars at the bottom there. Good Job overall! :)
Dec 4 17:26:29 10m 37s Lord of High Fives ♥ 1 This game I think definitely has the foundation of a very nice little game but as of now, it felt a bit like the game was slightly barebones and a bit empty. Certainly felt like Art was missing in some places and the fire has a slightly confusing hitbox. Again a nice foundation for an interesting concept just missing certain pieces.
Dec 4 17:41:55 15m 26s Overburdened ♥ 1 I like the idea of you fighting against your instincts and coins being your enemy (also fits quite neatly in with the theme). Graphics are nice simple but I found an issue where the restart button would go behind the floating islands. A big issue I had was that the controls felt very unintuitive and sometimes straight up unresponsive, I had very little control in the air and it felt a bit like I was battling the game instead of playing it. An otherwise nice concept which was executed quite nicely though I wish that the controls as I said were polished up a little. Also sometimes when I picked up a coin it would count as 7 or 8 (for some reason)
Dec 4 17:56:13 14m 18s Deadline ♥ 1 Really cool game. I love the writing mechanic, it really adds another layer of challenge on top of the whole; whack em thing. The game was really nice to play and I had absolutely no issues with the controls (in fact it was kind of satisfying churning out paper after paper) the power-ups were an awesome addition as well and the music added some nice depth. In terms of what to improve, I'd say that a graphics upgrade is needed (the play looks very bland for example). Otherwise a very, very solid and good game that has great potential. Well Done.
Dec 4 18:21:01 24m 48s Five Star Dining ♥ 1 Very intense game, I like it. I definately feel like I'm in a rush and the game makes no mistake in telling you that when you have a bunch of bubbles, waiting customers and dirty tables. Something that somewhat irked me was the fact that it was difficult to click the plates of the customers sometimes (would have been much better if you clicked their head). The Art could have been improved and so could the Sound but in general it was quite gamey but in a good way.
Dec 4 21:12:45 2h 51m Chick'n Invasion ♥ 1 Pretty solid game if you ask me. I have to say the biggest strongpoint in this game by far is the presentation. I mean the UI is beautifully laid out, the menu's are well done and the music is funny but not eye wrenchingly annoying. I must say though that for a game that's meant to have a lot of replay value I found myself become increasingly less interested as I kept playing. I think that the core mechanic is there and its well implemented but it's missing the umpf it needs. I feel like progression is very slow and the game really only starts to pick up when it becomes incredibly difficult. Not like difficulty is necesserally a bad thing I just think that the game only becomes really fun when it's too difficult for me to progress any further. Nonetheless its a very nice game and definetely something that can be picked up again in the future. Good Job :)
Dec 4 21:26:12 13m 27s Loot n' Scoot ♥ 1 Neat little game. The main mechanic and general idea is definately the strong point of the game. The programmer art actually adds a weird feel to this game (it's a good feel). The music I found was slightly repetitive but didn't get in the way too much. Something that somewhat bothered is the fact that the sherrifs don't care to stop when your unloading your gold! Otherwise a very solid game that has a great future if there were more features and a bit more polish. Well Done!
Dec 5 17:41:17 20h 15m Let's mix some drinks! ♥ 1 Very well done game. This game certainly fit the theme well and had a weird but brilliant vibe to it. Definately ticks all the boxes for a great experience and all of that in the compo as well. You really outdid yourself with this one. I really liked the drawings (fit very well) and the lack of music actually made the game better in the end. Good Job.
Dec 5 17:58:54 17m 37s Office Escape ♥ 1 Difficult game to understand, I know it's one of those, "Find all the 20 ways to kill your ----" but I couldn't get very far in the game at all since it seems... empty. I mean it seems like spamm clicking randomly is the best solution for finding out what you need to do. There should definetely be some visual indicators or some hints. The Graphics are fine and the Music isn't actually that bad at all. I think that if you had some more time on this game it could've ended up being a lot better and much more playable. But Good Job either way :)
Dec 5 19:19:36 1h 20m Steam Paralysis ♥ 1 Nice little infinite runner. I really like how you made a link between Steam and the theme, making something very special and interesting. This game was a lot more addicting than I first anticipated which is great! I think that you have a great idea for a game but it's missing some needed Audio and Graphics improvements especially. If you improved the game in those areas you would have a very special little gem of a game.
Dec 7 17:33:28 46h 13m Paint all the Colors ♥ 1 Pretty fun game. I like the mechanic and the main setback you have, it fits very nicely with the theme. With the limitations you have you end up creating quite abstract drawings especially when you don't get the colours you would expect to get. However I did sometimes find myself just scribbling a bit on the sides as the difficulty does ramp up quite a bit, I think there should be more of an incentive to drawing somewhat accurately even though I can understand why you wouldnt have time to implement this. Otherwise well done! :)
Dec 9 10:34:43 41h 01m POLAMI ♥ 1 Interesting puzzle game to say the least. I think this game's strongest suit is its mechanic. It's simple but can be addicting if executed correctly. I quite enjoyed the challenge in the post 100 points stages and it became pretty interesting at that point. However I think that this game struggles severly when it comes to pacing. After a few minutes of trying to understand the game I quickly realised how slow the game was, it was way too easy, this would go on for the next few minutes or so. However when I reached 100 (which is where I thought of just quitting) the game picked up in incredible speeds and it basically became a reflex test. Would be much better if the speed picked up more gradually. The graphics are simple enough for what the game is but a nice music loop would have been nice. Otherwise a good first puzzle game for the compo. Good Job :)
Dec 9 11:00:43 26m 00s More Research! ♥ 2 Pretty interesting puzzle game. It's very much your classic button opens/closes door puzzle game but set in space. Personally I can tell a lot of effort was put into this game but I think it was put into the wrong areas. First of all I would like to say that the asthaetics of this game are great. The pixel art is very well done and consistent! Very consistent (though I thought the background was a bit 'too' starry). The music though a bit quiet added some nice atmosphere and it really does tick that mood box quite confidentaly. However, I found that for one, the camera follows the player a bit too slowly, I can see this game being nauseating for some people as a result. It was a bit finicky sometimes getting the items into the ship also. I found that slowing the player down when they held an item was a good way of conveying weight but personally I found it a bit too harsh on the slowing down. I think my biggest problem is that beyond the nice atmosphhere and pretty graphics the actual game is kind of missing. The thing that makes puzzle games so special is their abilty to make you rethink everything when a new challenge or obstacle appears. I made it pretty far into the game and most of what I found were simple button puzzles. I think that this game needs a few more puzzle mechanics but otherwise it's a pretty solid game that has a good foundation for future updates.
