Dec 5 10:49:05 Night City Challenge ♥ 1 The art style is very cool, together with the music it gave a really cool futuristic atmosphere. The controls were a bit rough. I think the movement speed and acceleration is too fast, it felt more like an arcade-y racing game. The high speed makes it very hard to time jumps, on the first try I didn't even get into the city. I think I would have preferred to rotate the player with mouse instead(or gamepad) to give more precise aiming, using A and D to strafe instead of rotate. Overall this is an impressive game, the only fault being the controls.
Dec 5 11:14:55 25m 50s Mini Mod ♥ 0 Very impressive game. The controls take some getting used to, but they are quick and responsive, so its fun to learn. The game looks amazing, the robot in particular. I liked the music, it was very atmospheric, I didn't feel it quite matched the visuals though, which gave me more of a dystopian cyberpunk feel. I would have preferred a health power-up to reward me for getting further in your game, the difficulty is a tad high for an LD game. The enemies are easy enough, but it's very easy to make a mistake and lose some health, that makes it difficult to progress very far in the time I have to play.
Dec 5 11:44:41 29m 46s Crunchtime, the revenge of feature creep: mo' monay mo' problems. ♥ 3 Funny game, I like the humor, the font was a bit hard to read though. I like the pixel art style. The game idea is cool, but needs some balancing, I found it way too difficult. I think you should either slow it way down, or you should be able to slap them by mouse clicking on them, so you don't have to walk to them.
Dec 5 12:15:15 30m 34s Chasing Syrinx ♥ 1 Very good game. The art is amazing, I love the visual style, it was worth playing for the graphics alone. The controls are pretty good, but could be better. Its quick and responsive, which is good, but I would have preferred if I could control the strength of the jump(holding down jump to jump longer), it was tough to control where I was jumping. There were also a lot of situations where I was unable to jump despite not falling, which could be annoying. The level design was very good, I really had to think about how to solve different situations and plan my moves. One annoyance though was that it could be difficult to tell which branches I could jump on to, and exactly where the branch ended.
Dec 6 00:12:55 11h 57m Hero Human Man-Pirate ♥ 2 Very good art and audio, the dialogue and voice acting was funny. The gameplay was pretty fun, a bit too difficult. I would have preferred slightly slower gameplay with some more tactical elements, like a health bar instead of instant death, different shot types(it was annoying not being able to shoot the enemies that came at you from the side).
Dec 6 01:09:42 56m 47s Pride Before a Call ♥ 0 Very good game, the art is very nice and you have a lot of sound effects. There was a lot of fun dialogue with the callers. The game reminds me a lot of Papers Please.
Dec 6 02:02:51 53m 09s 10 inches or less ♥ 3 This is a fun and relaxing puzzle game with cool music and good SFX. Innovative puzzle idea. I would have preferred fewer levels with a steeper increase in difficulty though given the limited time I have to play during LD. The visuals were very cute, but you could have used more variation between levels, for example just by changing the color of the tiles and background.
Dec 6 02:33:37 30m 46s Nuclear Arms 5: Orphan Overdrive ♥ 3 Super fun game. The movement was maybe a tad fast, but the game felt responsive and the difficulty was well balanced. The intro and setting of the game was very funny. It would have been nice to have a minimap or radar showing the open doors as towards the end they were very difficult to find due to all the vehicles being in the way.
Dec 6 02:48:55 15m 18s Working Death ♥ 1 Fun game, it was a tad difficult, but I like the mechanic. The death character looks really good, with good animations and cool glow effects, the fog also makes it very atmospheric. You've got good music and SFX as well.
Dec 6 04:11:15 1h 22m Cracks ♥ 1 You've only allowed "very low" graphic setting, which by default has vsync turned off, this caused the FPS to be extremely high which leads to very high CPU and GPU usage. I'd love to play it if you upload a new version with vsync enabled.
Dec 8 03:26:51 47h 15m Relic Diver ♥ 2 Very nice art, the music was lovely, a relaxing game to play. The gameplay did get a bit repetitive, killing the sharks was fun, but it did take a lot of time going up and down. Some rewards for progressing would have helped, like being able to buy upgrades so we could move faster and stay down longer, maybe increase the range of the harpoon and weight capacity. It'd also be nice to track the amount of relics gathered, or money earned.
Dec 8 03:51:52 25m 01s Justify the Means ♥ 1 Great job, the core gameplay was pretty simple, but the art, music and story made this a very enjoyable experience. Didn't know I could double-jump in the beginning, took me a while to get over the water.
Dec 8 06:49:31 2h 57m The Daily Grind ♥ 1 Well made game with good graphics, animations, music and SFX. As others have mentioned, its tough to figure out how to make stuff. I felt I got the hang of making the various coffees, figuring out that the order showed the ratio of coffee, milk and cocoa, but I could not figure out the tea. The tea bag bounced around like crazy when I grabbed it, and I did not seem to be able to pick up the tea from the drawer.
