Dec 4 16:56:41 Jonny; Life of a Procrastinator ♥ 1 Not bad, but I feel like the gameplay can be difficult to get a solid grip on. The movement is a bit slow for my liking and the input doesn't have any "juice"- things like screenshake and particle effects can go a long way! Good luck on your next Ludum Dare!
Dec 4 17:06:23 9m 42s Ominos ♥ 1 Bloody hell, this gets hard fast! I can't make it past 18 lines... I think it could use some juicing up as Untitled Studios mentioned regarding things like animations for a line clear. Very intriguing idea though, I would love to see you work on this post-jam. Good luck!!
Dec 4 17:20:27 14m 04s Lord of High Fives ♥ 1 I love the premise, but the game doesn't feel as great to play as I wish it would! I feel like the fact the player character slowly speeds up when moving isn't exactly conducive to a snappy gameplay experience considering it's time limited. My best score is 3 friends which I'm honestly quite proud of considering how difficult it is! ^^
Dec 4 17:36:45 16m 18s Chaos Dart ♥ 1 I'm with Sholf regarding the addition of a stamina bar, but overall I really enjoyed this. It felt fast paced and challenging though quite enjoyable. The powerup system was good too, it helped to give the player a short term goal to aspire to aside from the goal of "don't die". I think a score counter would be a good addition to to help reflect the player's progress and achievement in the game. Once again, really enjoyable!
Dec 4 17:51:13 14m 28s RougeCell ♥ 0 Ouch, that was difficult! I got there in the end, but it took a while. I really like the premise and the gameplay, I think that maybe there should be some variety in the gameplay. I'm thinking maybe enemies which shoot rogue cell stuff at the healthy cells, or maybe power-ups. This has some neat potential!
Dec 4 17:56:05 4m 52s Kalyuka ♥ 1 Psst, anything ending in *.exe is generally not Linux compatible! Linux executables usually either don't have any file extension, or are *.bin files. Having said that, for any other Linuxites out there: **Just remove the .exe bit and chmod +x it and then ./kalyuka it, that'll work!** As for the actual game, the art is quite cute though I find it very difficult. Keep it up! I agree with the addition of an energy meter, it'd help to make it easier to balance things. EDIT: Also that axe spinning when you hold the spacebar is soo lovable and cute
Dec 4 18:05:00 8m 55s The Invasion of Robots ♥ 1 I don't know if I'll ever understand how SFML and OpenGL works so to me you're a supernatural wizard. It's not bad considering it's SFML and I think we're both aware that it's a little bit sparse, but I would recommend that you remember to normalize the movement vectors along X and Y since I think pressing both the W and D keys actually speeds you up overall. Good luck for next time!!
Dec 4 18:14:19 9m 19s DROP ♥ 2 Dear lord, that's difficult! It's a nice fun concept for a puzzle-platformer, though I think it could use some nice indicators to help make it clear how collecting coins impacts movement. Maybe some kind of meter at the top or side of the screen would help it to feel a bit more impactful. Also, the rope swings seem to be kinda jerky and I'm not entirely sure how they behave but sometimes they drop me into the lava and that makes me sad.
Dec 4 18:23:34 9m 15s Chaos Space Kitchen ♥ 1 Pretty good!! I really love the graphics. I think that the premise is really quite interesting and it could be expanded on with some success. One piece of feedback I can give is that I think maybe the hitboxes for fitting the food into the appropriate recepticle could be a bit more lenient as I frequently spend too much time just throwing it repeatedly at the correct piece until it goes in. Overall, nice job!
Dec 4 18:28:18 4m 44s Purr-suasion ♥ 1 I feel like it could have gotten a bit harder towards the end. The obstacles were a good addition, but I think that keeping an acceptable percentage of cats successfully herded would have been a good idea and then amping up the number of cats to where it's almost impossible to get an actually purrfect game. That's just an idea, though. I don't know how that would actually work out. Nice work, though!
Dec 4 18:41:39 13m 21s Fluffy Space Escape ♥ 1 Holy wow, you legit made an NES game for Ludum Dare?! That's pretty incredible..!! As for the game, it was pretty good and had a very nice NES-induced charm. Nice work!!
Dec 5 18:13:24 23h 31m Quadrilateral Damage ♥ 0 Wow, this gets super hectic but remains super enjoyable! I really like the art style and the premise. It's easy to pick up and understand pretty easily what's going on. Really well done!!
Dec 6 19:31:59 25h 18m Voiid ♥ 1 Very nice! I really liked the atmosphere in this game, and the graphics were minimalistic yet definitely fit well with the mood. It's been a while since I've played a 3D platformer, so thanks for reminding me they exist! ^^
Dec 6 20:00:18 28m 19s BufferMAN: Hack 80's style! ♥ 0 In all honesty, I'm not a huge fan of the movement or the motion blur/DoF/bloom effects, but this is very intriguing. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this develops if you choose to work on it post-jam, it's a very interesting concept!!
