Aug 1 15:58:40 PowrConnectr ♥ 1 That was a fantastic game to play for my first one of LD39. Really well designed levels and mechanics. It looks like you've already gotten this but it isn't obvious at first that the coloured tiles move together. I though the level where you first introduce multiple cores might have fit better as the tutorial for the linked tiles. But overall a great game.
Aug 1 16:26:29 27m 49s The Book Of Dawn ♥ 2 A gorgeous game to be sure but it does lack content. I know that LD is trying to find ways to incorporate other forms of media and so I think this is a fantastic way to enter a visual entry.
Aug 1 16:38:53 12m 24s ZETPACK-99 ♥ 1 Wonderful game, five stars for sure! I really liked the colors you chose, they really made the graphics go a long way for being so simple. The music was also very fitting for the kind of game it was. I managed to make it to the end without too much trouble but I think that was because I saw some of your blog posts and I knew to conserve my power. I think perhaps showing more directly that the player needs to conserve power so strictly might be helpful.
Aug 1 16:48:50 9m 57s A Mr Mom Quest ♥ 1 having to press the movement keys over and over was a great choice. It really added a really frantic feel to the game. Full points for mood.
Aug 1 16:58:09 9m 19s Sunseeker ♥ 3 The game was rather difficult and that in and of itself is not a problem but it felt difficult because I couldn't do much other than point and click. The graphics and audio were spot on though.
Aug 2 04:38:06 11h 39m Electric Neon ♥ 2 I loved the aesthetic of the game. I felt like not enough batteries spawned though and that it was often luck if you succeed rather than skill.
Aug 2 15:29:05 10h 50m Funkotron 5k ♥ 0 That was something glorious! My only complaint is that compared to the opening audio, the funk is too quiet.
Aug 2 15:41:21 12m 16s GN49 ♥ 3 I'll second that the web link is broken. The windows version isn't though and that was a pretty solid entry. The zombies made some rather unsettling noises and that's a good thing. I do have a couple little tips for you though. First I would recommend you add a screenshot to this page. Second, all the zombies are running on the same animation timer it seems. Perhaps you could assign them each a random animation frame to start at when they spawn, that way they all look a little more different.
Aug 2 15:51:14 9m 53s VIS ♥ 1 I really liked your take on the theme.
Aug 2 16:03:33 12m 19s Bright Plateau ♥ 1 Excellent job on the game guys. The puzzles were really well designed and the graphics were stunning.
Aug 2 16:27:06 23m 33s NOT ALONE ♥ 1 That was a funny little game. The gameover music doesnt stop playing though so if you try and replay it it does change the mood a bit.
Aug 3 20:19:21 27h 52m Superbman ♥ 0 Overall I really liked the game. The simple controls were really nice. It made it easy to get into the rhythm of things. You guys had an interesting take on the theme but I think it could have been executed a bit better. A quick cut-scene showing the hero loosing their powers perhaps? Or perhaps if you had made the level full of colour but left the hero grey-scale until they got their power back. Finally, I think a checkpoint system would be a huge boon to the game. In the available level even one checkpoint right before the second more close quarters part of the game would have saved a lot of frustration.
Aug 3 20:48:35 29m 14s Electronic Supremacy ♥ 2 That was a lot of fun. It reminded me a bit of creeper world (link below) which probably my favorite management game. I'd like to second a request to be able to destroy buildings. I never quite figured out what the black tiles or the right most building (the walls i think?) did though. I tend to find in games like these slower beefier enemies are more fun to fight. When one finally manages to break your defenses it leads to a frantic attempt to find some way to kill it before it can kill you. With smaller faster enemies it seems by the time you notice they broke your defenses its too late and they are swarming your base. Creeper World: https://knucklecracker.com/
Aug 3 21:00:52 12m 17s Jet Pengy ♥ 1 It took me a little while to figure out the ice worked like a flame thrower rather than a gun. Once I got that down though it was quite a bit of fun. I noticed a bug where sometimes seemingly for no reason I would slide backwards in an area for a while and I would second the request for checkpoints. I think my favorite part though was the audio. Fantastic sound effects my friend.
Aug 3 21:21:22 20m 30s Berzerk Hunt ♥ 1 As has been said, the graphics, animation and audio are all superb and for a first time group this is incredible. My only real critique is that the game-play is very linear in intensity. A feature that I think would could have broken up the game-play in a fun and immersive way is if you can complete tasks to please Ull. Tasks such as kill 10 rabbits in 8 seconds. or kill a rabbit then a fox then a rabbit. I think something like this could move the focus of the game around and make a better rising and falling action in the intensity of the game.
Aug 3 21:29:16 7m 54s Demonic Powers ♥ 1 A fun entry though I feel like the energy bar should deplete a bit slower, you move a bit faster or the buildings should be a bit closer together.
Aug 3 21:57:39 28m 23s Escape! ♥ 1 I really liked the difficulty and well designed puzzles. I think locking the player to a more strict grid would be helpful and make the controls feel a lot tighter.
