Dec 15 03:13:00 Sand Storm Interesting game, took a few mins to figure out, but when I did it was neat. Very cool physics effects with the pixels. The game gave me a weirdly Lemmings-ish vibe? Maybe Lemmings 2 specifically? The bridge building stuff reminds me of it. Cool game anyway.
Dec 15 03:20:00 7m 00s Gyra Very cool, love the polished presentation and the risk/reward style of the gameplay. Simple but effective.
Dec 15 03:24:00 4m 00s Sector5-0 Neat little shooter. The way the mouse is used for controls is interesting. Good music too!
Dec 15 03:32:00 8m 00s SUPER PLANT FRENZY Cool game! Very cute and polished. It took me a while to see where I was as the character starts out so small and relatively indistinct from the background. Also it would have been better if you dropped the two buttons theme and just went with growing, as the two button controls are a little confusing and don't really improve anything. Good stuff though.
Dec 15 03:42:00 10m 00s Shots Fired Cool idea. Nice pixel art too! I had a bit of trouble getting into the corner areas with the scope at times, though I was running it windowed so it could be that.
Dec 15 03:48:00 6m 00s Rebel Dancer This is awesome. Nice art style and solid gameplay. It's very One Finger Death Punch, although I like that you added player movement into the equation too.
Dec 15 03:52:00 4m 00s Berry Thorny Fun stuff! Looks great and controls are spot on. The music getting slower and faster adds to the frantic and mindscrewy nature of the game. Nice job!
Dec 15 04:01:00 9m 00s Neo Oxygene Doesn't explain itself very well and is quite confusing, but is interesting when you get the hang of it. The idea of one game fuelling another game is pretty clever. Neat graphical style as well.
Dec 15 04:06:00 5m 00s Ludum Vitae Pretty experimental, but cool. Very chill. The tree's talking was cute. It did crash for me unfortunately, I guess because of Unity's WebGL stuff still being a bit wonky. Oh well, good stuff anyway.
Dec 15 04:09:00 3m 00s Soup Nice concept, sort of Osmos combined with a simple RTS game? Interesting. Great presentation too.
Dec 15 13:42:00 9h 33m yaschiki This is great! Awesome sense of atmosphere. The reload mechanic is interesting and adds a sense of panic when enemies come after you. The dissonant soundtrack is a nice touch too. Have you ever played an Amiga game called Behind The Iron Gate? This reminds me a lot of that.
Dec 15 14:22:00 40m 00s Catalyst Interesting puzzle idea. Nice atmosphere too. Good stuff.
Dec 15 14:27:00 5m 00s ZORC Great take on the theme, a clever way of getting around the two button limit, even if it does get a little tiresome sometimes. Wonderful audio atmosphere!
Dec 15 14:29:00 2m 00s Nebular Worm Pretty cute idea. Controls are nice and fluid. Good job!
Dec 15 14:31:00 2m 00s Conga Master Awesome game! A fun twist on the Snake idea. Great pixel art as well.
Dec 15 14:34:00 3m 00s Avoid The Lights CrazyCapsule Nice job! Lighting effects are good, and the gameplay, though simple, works fine and the controls are smooth. The music isn't bad and gives the game some flavour.
Dec 15 14:39:00 5m 00s Longbeard Gorgeous pixel art and very polished presentation over all. Gameplay is well done, and it has great beard physics. I don't think I've ever praised a game on its beard physics before, that's a new one.
Dec 15 14:42:00 3m 00s Stem Cool stuff. Simple gameplay, but it works well, and keeping an eye on all the stats adds some flavour to it. Great graphical style.
Dec 15 14:59:00 17m 00s Lawn Mower Fight Cute game. Nice graphics and decent fluid controls.
Dec 15 15:03:00 4m 00s The Darkness Nice game. I like the variety of powerups. The effect of the darkness constantly spreading is well done and is satisfying to fight back against it. Nice graphics and music too.
Dec 15 15:06:00 3m 00s Pete and the Beanstalk Awesome game. Love the art style, the animation of the plant growing is excellent. Definitely the best 'endless runner' style game I've seen so far.
Dec 15 15:13:00 7m 00s A Growing Threat Neat and interesting concept, mechanics are pretty solid. I like the sort of strategic aspect of keeping the followers alive by giving them orders. Good work.
Dec 15 15:17:00 4m 00s Magnetic Cool concept, the physics are well implemented. The visuals and audio make for an interestingly moody atmosphere.
Dec 15 15:22:00 5m 00s Turbo Tram Drift Neat take on the 'endless runner' theme, very challenging. I think it accelerates a bit too quickly though, and the sharp turns made me feel a bit ill. Interesting atmosphere, love the 80s synth ballad soundtrack going on.
Dec 15 15:28:00 6m 00s PerePey Cool game. Very nice graphical style. Gameplay is solid and simple yet deceptively challenging. Reminds me an awful lot of Hohokum on PS4!
Dec 15 15:40:00 12m 00s Parse The Sky Fantastic art style! Music is awesome too. Really great experience. Controls are a bit fiddly, and also felt like they were backwards, as plane controls are typically inverted up/down, so that should probably be an option or something. Great work overall.
Dec 15 15:51:00 11m 00s High Noon Swinger Cool game. Nice pixel art. Love the zoomed-in bullet view! Controls took a bit of getting used to, I didn't know the focus button was a toggle rather than a hold to focus thing. Maybe add that as an option?

Crotch rating 5/5
Dec 15 15:55:00 4m 00s Mobsferatu Great game! Simple gameplay but fun. Extremely polished presentation. Could easily be a proper sellable game. Nice job!
Dec 15 15:59:00 4m 00s Until you've grown Interesting puzzle gameplay. Deceptively simple, its harder than it seems at first. Nice use of the theme.
Dec 15 16:03:00 4m 00s Agent Hooker Great use of the theme. Awesome pixel art and just great presentation overall. Good job.

OH YEAH!

(you get an extra point in Audio from me for that btw)
Dec 19 16:55:00 96h 52m Edo Arena Some nice twists on the two button fighter idea here. I like the element of verticality to it. The progression system is interesting, especially building up the settlement in the background. Controls were a bit sluggish though. Might be good to reduce the delay between attacks and make the enemies stronger to balance it out, might make for more lively gameplay. Good work overall though.
Dec 19 16:59:00 4m 00s Balanced Diet Kinda cute and amusing. Incredibly hard to get much score though, I didn't get any more than 5.
Dec 19 17:14:00 15m 00s Millenium Fist 5422.507! My hand co-ordination is quite bad though. It's a decent concept but I think there could have been more to it. Also I felt a bit weird brutally beating a character to death that didn't even fight back? Maybe there could have been some like counter attacks where you had to hit a specific side or combination or something. There is potential here for a neat sort of Punch-Out style game or something.
Dec 19 17:19:00 5m 00s Gjallarhorn Nice game! I like the norse mythology style, and the enemy design was really cool. An interesting spin on the two button fighter concept, and the dilemma of which side of the screen to focus on was a neat gameplay aspect. Good stuff.
Dec 19 17:24:00 5m 00s Blobitronica I knew there'd be a lot of Osmos/agar.io style games in the Growing theme. This is the best one I've played so far, its a great twist on the concept. The constant zooming out and escalation of hazards appearing makes it frantic and keeps you on your toes. Excellent presentation too.
Dec 19 17:33:00 9m 00s Slum Runner This is pretty good! I like the effort put into the narrative. I like the dystopian future style. The gameplay is well paced, its nice that the new features are introduced over time. Working out which direction to press when walking downwards was a little confusing, but I suppose thats part of the difficulty of it. Good stuff!
Dec 19 17:42:00 9m 00s White Rose Nice style. Excellent music choices. It could have gone further with the synaesthesia theme though. Might have been cool to have visual effects that pulse to the music or something, or even match the timing of attacks to the songs. Perhaps make the colours more vivid as you make progress? I know there's limited time and these things are hard to implement in the time limit, but these are just some ideas for possible improvement later. There's potential for something awesome here.
Dec 19 17:48:00 6m 00s CICP : the Center for Interplanetary Pest Control Love the voxel graphics, great presentation overall. Wish there was a bit more player agency in the gameplay. There's not a lot you can do before more tesla coils are built. Not bad though!
Dec 19 17:54:00 6m 00s Back on Earth Nice idea to use the two-button concept for an adventure game. The graphics are great, amazing backgrounds and I love the use of retro-style polygons. You got that Another World/Flashback look down perfectly.
Dec 19 18:01:00 7m 00s Crusader Climber Quest 64 Quite a fun game, pretty challenging. The physics and sound effects are amusing, and the vine graphics are decently done. I take it you've played Grow Home? It's extremely reminiscent of it. Thats's not a bad thing at all though!
Dec 19 18:05:00 4m 00s spin-circle Fun stuff, simple but deceptively challenging. Controls feel nice, with just the right amount of physics in the movement. Beautiful presentation as well!
Dec 19 18:10:00 5m 00s NanoBit Nice idea. Interesting use of the growing mechanic as almost a 'health meter'. Like people have said it's a bit too difficult though, and the game could use some extra easier sections beforehand to ease you into the it. Cute graphics and music though. Pretty good stuff.
Dec 19 18:28:00 18m 00s RhythmRider Nice simple rhythm game. Very well executed and nice presentation. Music is great too. Would love to see more different stages with different music tracks!
Dec 19 18:36:00 8m 00s Zen Roots Excellent mood in this game. Very chill. Love the minimalist graphics and music. Gameplay is paced well and matches the presentation in a nice way too. A minor gripe I have is the colour choices are a bit harsh in the beginning of the game, the roots and some of the rocks contrast a little unpleasantly with the background. This is less of a problem later on as the background darkens, though. Good work overall.
Dec 19 18:43:00 7m 00s 2Door Nice little game. Interesting way of using the two button mechanics to do a 'simon' type game. Awesome style and presentation. Would love to see multiple levels with more complex combinations etc.
Dec 19 18:50:00 7m 00s DUO Nice game, love the presentation. Interesting use of the second button to switch between 'modes', also the block creation stuff was a neat alternative to just having a jump button. The graphic style reminds me a lot of an indie rhythm/platformer game called 140. Not a bad thing at all, it has a cool look to it.
Dec 19 18:55:00 5m 00s The Artifact The hand drawn pen and paper style is pretty well done in this. The idea of having powerups change the second button control is a nice way to add a bit more variety to a theme that might limit that sort of thing. Good music too.
Dec 19 18:59:00 4m 00s Blood Cleaner Nice idea for a shooter with two buttons. The whole ship rotating for different weapons is very cool. Good stuff!
Dec 19 19:04:00 5m 00s Kubble Cool idea! I don't think I've ever seen a turn-based puzzle platformer. You've crammed a lot of mechanics for a game with only two buttons, by using the environment to give different abilities, which is interesting to me. Cute graphics and a nice soundtrack too.
Dec 19 19:12:00 8m 00s POOM POOM TCHI Cool idea. Kinda like Worms meets Patapon, or something. Great artwork and nice audio that ties into the gameplay. I wish there was more feedback for entering the button inputs though.
Dec 20 15:37:00 20h 25m BoltStorm Great game! Very nicely polished, particularly the audio work, which was punchy and satisfying. Gameplay is good too but I did find myself getting cheap damage from enemies spawning from behind pillars, maybe a more prominent spawn effect and making the pillars transparent when the camera is near them would help. Nice work overall.
Dec 20 15:43:00 6m 00s Glow&Grow Excellent presentation on this, love the clean minimalist look going on. The way the colours accumulate around the circle is nice too. I wish it were a bit more evident which colour was currently selected. Also I didn't quite get enough time to get accustomed to new colours as they appear. But overall, awesome work.
Dec 20 15:48:00 5m 00s Box 'N Bash Decent game. Voice acting is amusing. It's an interesting idea, and I like the way you implemented the difficulty levels by 'raising the bar'. It seems like you don't get enough time to react when a boom box appears, and it always seems to kill one of the goblins. Maybe I'm just bad at it though.
Dec 20 15:55:00 7m 00s Crooked Town Fun game. A surprisingly expansive game area considering the time limit. Enjoyed the various physics effects, especially knocking trees out of the way. There's something satisfying about that considering how many video game trees in general tend to stop cars dead in their tracks. Great soundtrack too!
Dec 20 16:01:00 6m 00s Antibounce I like the presentation of this game, its simple but looks good. The gameplay is pretty simple too but it works for what it is. My main gripe is the spikes are way too hard to see, and sometimes they just unavoidably spawn underneath you, resulting in some cheap deaths. Still, not a bad game!
Dec 20 16:05:00 4m 00s Arc I like the presentation of this game. Good sense of graphic design. Nice soundtrack too. I would say it starts off too difficult, I think it needs to gradually ramp up as you progress from the beginning.
Dec 20 16:10:00 5m 00s Radical Revolver Recoil Rampage Great concept! I've seen a lot of these games where you're fighting enemies coming from the left and right, but the way you combined projectile attacking and movement makes it pretty interesting. The obstacles make for a neat addition too. Nice presentation as well. Good work.
Dec 20 16:12:00 2m 00s Capling Nice simple idea. Great use of physics! You get an extra point in audio from me for that death sound.
Dec 20 16:19:00 7m 00s Xtreme Crop Duster Simulator '82 Great job with the C64 stylings on this. It's pretty effective! You even got the music right! The game is pretty fun with interesting mechanics, though I found the controls a bit slow and weird to get to grips with. I think its the lack of feedback of exactly which direction the plane is going, but then a C64 wouldn't have been able to do smooth rotation very easily, so its sort of understandable in this case. Nice work overall though!
Dec 20 16:22:00 3m 00s Left-leaning Cool little game. The mechanics are really simple but deceptively challenging. Pretty fun stuff!
Dec 20 16:26:00 4m 00s Binary Interesting ideas involved here, but I didn't really understand what made the player go up or down after turning?
Dec 20 16:30:00 4m 00s Auto Racer Simple but fun little game, very accessible. Nice sense of aesthetics with pleasant colour choices. Good job!
Dec 20 16:35:00 5m 00s CyberMayan Neat mechanics, interesting fusion of a Pacman style arcade game with puzzle elements. Cool presentation as well, maybe tone down the bloom effects a little? They seem a bit overblown at times. Nice colour choices though. Fun stuff!
Dec 20 16:39:00 4m 00s GeoGrowth Nice happy mood to the game, especially with the music. Simple mechanics, but they work fine. Nice use of both themes.
Dec 20 16:47:00 8m 00s Defuse Run Fun game. It's a bit tricky to control at times, seems a bit too easy to flip over. Maybe add more weight to the car? Also the camera is a bit too zoomed in on the car. Otherwise its pretty good for a first time using UE4.
Dec 20 16:58:00 11m 00s SportsRaces Cool game! The menu selections in between games made things more interesting. Awesome UI work and overall presentation is great, but maybe speed up the transitions between screens. The gameplay was a bit too easy too, once you got used to the controls. Nice work overall though!
Dec 20 17:02:00 4m 00s Robot Boxing Amusing little game. Controls weren't immediately obvious. After working it out though it was pretty fun. Interesting use of the two button theme.
Dec 20 17:06:00 4m 00s Just a fatty cat Not bad. The cutout style is interesting. Gameplay works ok, though I feel like pressing both arrows to go forwards felt a little odd. Maybe constant movement might have been better. Good stuff overall though!
Dec 20 17:13:00 7m 00s Growing Sakura Cool puzzle mechanics, seems simple enough but becomes deceptive challenging. Nice presentation too!
Dec 20 17:17:00 4m 00s Long Long: A snake lies in the Past Beautiful pixel art in this. Nice music too. An interesting idea to mix Snake and oldskool zelda-style adventure games. I wish controlling it was a bit less clunky. The way the snake moves in blocks seems a little unpleasant to me. Also I don't think you necessarily needed to stick with the two button control theme, the game would have been less confusing with normal directional controls. Still though, impressive work overall!
Jan 3 15:43:00 334h 26m Double Kick Heroes Awesome job! Great presentation! Gameplay is a bit shallow maybe, but the visuals and sound make up for it a lot. Love the Machinae Supremacy style soundtrack.
Jan 3 15:50:00 7m 00s DESEEDER Great game! The diagonal pixel aesthetic is really interesting! Fun stuff. Love the soundtrack too.
Jan 3 15:53:00 3m 00s Enliven Awesome work. Cool mechanics going on here. Nice pixel art too!
Jan 3 16:15:00 22m 00s Darkness: A modular Audio Sound Scape Interesting experiment. Graphics are minimalist but fit the mood pretty well. Would be great to see this sort of sound design in a more fleshed out game.
Jan 3 16:29:00 14m 00s Octov Interesting ideas, a neat way of getting more depth out of limited controls. Nice presentation too. Good work overall!
Jan 3 16:43:00 14m 00s Conservation of Ninjutsu Neat game. Soundtrack was good! Feel like the controls could have been explained better.
Jan 3 16:49:00 6m 00s Choo Choo Cute little game. Deceptively tricky too. Gives me flashbacks to an old C64 game called Locomotion.
Jan 3 17:04:00 15m 00s OVERGROWN . UNDERFED Very polished game with a lot going on. I like the presentation, you nailed the Risk of Rain aesthetic pretty well. Having different character classes is cool too.
Jan 3 18:18:00 1h 14m Dizzy Dazzle Great sense of style in this game. The rotated arrows were a tricky twist on the formula, but unfortunately it seems like you can mash the buttons to win. The penalty for missing needs to be much harsher I think.
Jan 3 18:26:00 8m 00s Spread Cool concept. I liked the idea of the little hacking minigames, gave the game sort of a Warioware feel. The actual game reminds me a lot of the hacking in Deus Ex Human Revolution, which is cool. Love the music too!
Jan 3 18:33:00 7m 00s Snowman Builder Extreme Fun game! Nice to see some Katamari style action going on in the 'growing' theme. The titles at the end are great. The control felt a bit too heavy, I kept wishing the snowball was a bit more responsive. But fun stuff overall.
Jan 3 19:14:00 41m 00s Fading Light This game is screaming for a tutorial. Not a bad game though, presentation is nice, and I like the story and voice acting. Gameplay mechanics could probably use some expanding a bit, and definitely needs more in-game explanation. Good work overall though!
Jan 3 19:23:00 9m 00s SUPER SCIENCE CORP Great game. I like the guy over the radio. Graphics aren't the best but they're functional. The aliens evolving is pretty cool. Reminds me a lot of Alien Breed from the Amiga. Fun stuff!
Jan 3 19:29:00 6m 00s From the Deep Cool game. Love the island rising up as a mechanic. I think the game would have been better it you just had the island rising as the 'growing' theme, because the two button controls are just kind of awkward and don't really help the game. I quite enjoy the tiny pixel graphics, reminds me of the 'all on one screen' theme from a previous LD.
Jan 3 19:33:00 4m 00s Shipload I actually really like this. Very simple, but the ever increasing speed and keeping up with counting the trailers and keeping up with the correct amount is really fun. I liked that the music gets faster and faster too. I think it needs more indication of which stack on the ship is the 'current' one, more than just the crane position, like an arrow or something. Just to make things a bit easier to track.
Jan 3 19:36:00 3m 00s The War of Japants Fun game. Nice graphics. An interesting take on a Canabalt style game.
Jan 3 19:42:00 6m 00s Gravi Blitz Neat idea for a game, presentation is pretty clean and nice. As people have said, the sound effects are a bit abrasive, but thats a minor gripe thats easily fixed. Would like to see a single player mode.
Jan 3 19:45:00 3m 00s GrowingTrees Cute little game. Seen a few of these tree growing games, this is a good example. Simple mechanics, easy to pick up and play, very smooth controls. The tree graphics are well done too.
Jan 3 19:50:00 5m 00s Run Cube, run! Cool game. I like the isometric style. Simple but fun!
Jan 3 19:54:00 4m 00s Growth Control Interesting strategy game. I like the glowy neon style. Needs a lot of work in regards to teaching the player about how to play it, but I understand that the time is limited and you can't implement everything. Good stuff.
Jan 3 20:00:00 6m 00s The Rocket Mistake Neat game. The quirky way the ship controls was actually quite interesting. Not bad at all!
Jan 3 20:07:00 7m 00s Flove Great game! Very polished, I like that you spent the time to explain the game mechanics, and you even did it with full voice acting! The sound in general is good, some of the sound effects are really cute. Gameplay is an interesting blend of action and strategy. Good stuff!
Jan 3 20:14:00 7m 00s Radivader Neat game. Props for adding upgrades and progression! Fighting against the ever expanding enemies gives a nice oppressive feel to the game. Easy to pick up and play. Good stuff!
Jan 3 20:16:00 2m 00s O3000 Great presentation, very clean and pretty. A pretty good take on the Osmos/Agario formula, and fits the theme well. Nice work!
Jan 3 20:32:00 16m 00s Armageddungeon Cool game! Nice pixel art, good use of the theme, great music too. More responsive controls are needed though, I feel like sometimes I didn't jump when I wanted to. Nice work overall though!
Jan 3 20:38:00 6m 00s Concrete Jungle Great take on the plant growing game. Certainly the most thematically interesting one, the contrast of nature in a manmade environment was cool. Love the timelapse style of the background. Awesome work overall.
Jan 3 20:43:00 5m 00s Vine Nice game. Smooth controls, the way the helicopter moves makes it feel a bit odd but you get used to it. I loved the missiles coming down, it looked cool.
Jan 3 20:56:00 13m 00s QwertyBee Neat game. Nice presentation. I'm impressed how you managed to make a typing-style game where you deal with arrow key movement as well, while making it not feel overwhelming. Good work overall!
