Aug 24 20:25:00 Takodemon Awesome entry, especially considering the insanely tight time constraints you had. The idea is quite original and the level of polish is really high. Congratulations!
Aug 24 21:29:00 1h 04m Lovers on a Park Bench I killed my ex...oops 0:-D

Nice atmosphere you've got there, and I really liked the concept, although the typing part felt slightly disconnected even if the words were actually related.

Great work!!
Aug 24 21:35:00 6m 00s Antimon Awesome take on the theme, and I really like the retro feeling :D
The combat aspect was interesting, but it felt a bit cumbersome at times. Despite this, this is a very nice entry, good job!
Aug 24 21:45:00 10m 00s Tales of the Underworld: Rebellion of the Souls Simple concept, well executed. Controls felt responsive, although the jump was a bit floaty (Still, that's always a lot better than having to fight against the controls in addition to the baddies in the game).

I really liked the retro graphics, and the music was a fitting complement. Congrats!!
Aug 24 21:54:00 9m 00s Johnny Yeti's Pro Skiing Cool entry!

Controls felt a bit off, probably because of the physics, but you managed to capture the feeling of speed wonderfully (the music had a lot to do wit this, sounds would have surely provided the icing on the cake). Great job!
Aug 24 22:03:00 9m 00s No Country for Troll Men Nice take on the theme! Gameplay was simple yet effective and both mechanics and controls felt pretty smooth.

Great job!!

P.S: I died from sun exposure T_T
Aug 24 22:30:00 27m 00s I HATE HALLOWEEN Great mood! I loved the mask switching concept, and it would have been even cooler if projectiles had been different enough in terms of gameplay (or their effects more noticeable in case they were already differences, which I think is the case) to be used strategically . And nice touch on the boss battle, too!

Overall, a pretty solid entry, congratulations!
Aug 24 22:46:00 16m 00s Hotel Shmotel Awesome!

That's a lot of content you put in here for a compo entry! I loved the exploration aspect, it reminded me of several old school dungeon crawlers (even if at times controls felt a bit stiff while turning)

I really liked it, well done!.
Aug 24 23:05:00 19m 00s EVILATOR Brilliant! This is one of the most original takes on the theme I've seen so far, and the music just gives the perfect touch of evil.

Awesome entry, great job!
Aug 24 23:42:00 37m 00s Eat Sheep & Die Very solid entry! I loved the tune and the graphics. Together with the mechanics, I can easily see this expanded into something larger and less open.

Congratulations!
Aug 24 23:52:00 10m 00s Snake Strike The snake animation and overall art style are incredible. Sound is subtle, but it works perfectly, too.

As for gameplay, the controls feel smooth and polished, so it is a pity that the game, due to the woes of development (we've all been here some time T_T), lacks a proper challenge because it certainly deserves one.

It would be really cool if you tried to make some good use of this post-jam, because it seriously was promising something amazing. Have you got any plans about it?

Congratulations!
Aug 25 00:17:00 25m 00s Monsters Rescue So cute! The creatures remind me of Adventure Time and some Studio Ghibli, they're really cool. Oh, and together with the scenery visuals, I love the way music also blends with the game, it all defines a great atmosphere.

Controls feel smooth, too, my main suggestion would be to give more feedback when those #%&aN$!ยท space tourists are going to screw the group. Oh, and some occassional animation glitches.

An impressive entry, I hope you both enjoyed making it, great job!

PS: I've had the debug console pop up with a NullRef. exception, but couldn't see what exactly caused it. I'll see if I can find something else in future runs.

PS2: Any possibility of releasing an android version? It looks like touch controls would definitely fit with the game as well 0:-D
Aug 25 12:20:00 12h 03m Everyday Misanthrope Brilliant and hilarious, I loved the inventive ways in which to be a perfect piece of human rubbish (and the consequences).

I managed to ruin 67 people's lives, but got some tokens left at the end.

Awesome entry!
Aug 25 12:28:00 8m 00s Woodland Therapy Interesting mechanics with a twist. I loved the colourful graphics and I...I made a lot of friends :-O
Aug 25 12:40:00 12m 00s The Devil's Daughter Wow...Impressive visuals, really detailed.

Gameplay felt polished, too, but the controls felt a bit stiff on the Newsgrounds version and at times I had problems differentiating interactable items from the background (the best way to ensure what was what was to shoot at everything, so nothing too biggie)

Great job!
Aug 26 09:42:00 21h 02m Flying Spaghetti Monster Idle Clicker Behold how the glorious FSM has descended upon us to give us the opportunity to mass-click on Their Noodly Appendages!

Hilarious take on the theme. Congrats!! :D
Aug 26 12:20:00 2h 38m Don't SPROUTCH me! Great idea! It's funny and sad at the same time to "sproutch" the little guys. I'm still on my way to the hospital!

Graphics and audio are cool as well, awesome job!
Aug 26 12:26:00 6m 00s Detached Cool concept, the mechanics are original and interesting :)
Aug 26 12:34:00 8m 00s Small People Problems Great entry, the idea is original, very fitting to the theme and really polished. I love how the citizens feel really alive and panicking, they remind me a bit of Cyanide and Happiness :D

Awesome job!
Aug 26 20:11:00 7h 37m Grave Awesome graphics and great controls. A brilliant entry for a compo, congrats!! :)
Aug 26 20:35:00 24m 00s Even In Your Ludum Dare I really liked the simplicity of the concept at first, but as the creature grows bigger it also becomes harder to control until it basically becomes a matter of leaving the game alone. If you manage to fix this or add some more challenges for the end-game you can have something interesting here. Music and graphics were also cute :D

Either way, congrats!
Aug 26 20:45:00 10m 00s Adula Really cool art style (and very polished audio design, too). The two-choice menus concept seemed to go in an interesting way, but the game was too short.

Good job!!
Aug 26 20:58:00 13m 00s Synergistic Management Solutions I really liked the humour, but it was a bit confusing to play.

Controls weren't apparent, and I didn't quite get why I was failing at times if I was actually performing the task. Could it be because of the counters, or was it related to the constant job assignment popups appearing to the left? I wasn't sure if that was a meta reference on the game setting or if it was related to the tasklist (sometimes it seemed it was, sometimes it didn't seem to).

Despite this, the game looks really cute with the iconic art, and corporate management mocking is a theme I'll never get tired of, so congrats!! :D
Aug 26 21:08:00 10m 00s Sim Jong Un 21 days, overthrown by my own generals :_(

Great implementation of the classic match-3 mechanics, and even if the concept could be controversial, I couldn't help but laugh, the parodic aspects are well handled. Nice touch with the events, and Cool job!
Aug 26 21:19:00 11m 00s Sly Slime - Revenge On All Players Cool use of the theme, and awesome atmosphere! I really liked the voxel graphics.

Well done!
Aug 26 21:26:00 7m 00s Lab Resist Great mood, graphics and audio are very polished!

The plot is interesting and a nice take on the theme, too, congratulations!! :D
Aug 26 21:39:00 13m 00s Monstre de Coiffure Brilliant in all areas, it feels like a complete game!
Aug 26 22:26:00 47m 00s noodle ramen Excellent! Mechanics are original, the concept matches the theme, and the monster is soooo cute visually :D

Well done, this is an awesome job :)
Aug 26 22:29:00 3m 00s Blobs are stupid Gamepad controls felt quite smooth and the core gameplay worked well, but the connection to the theme felt a bit forced. Still, nice job!! :)
Aug 26 23:22:00 53m 00s Dudes in Space Awesome! I love games where you need to handle characters with different abilities to make your way through the levels, such as Monaco or Lost Vikings, and your entry manages to give that same vibe :)

The music also contributed to the tension of the setting, and graphics were simple but effective, although at the beginning I spent a while moving around figuring out who I could use for certain things until I realised that there were text hints.

And well, as I was playing wondering where the connection to the theme was, and then I reached the end... ouch.

I really liked this entry, congratulations!!
Aug 26 23:27:00 5m 00s Minotaur and the Theseus Brilliant concept! I was cursing at Theseus after being caught stupidly the first two times when I accidentally discovered about the wall flipping. That was a master addition. Still, even if I evaded him he managed to escape...for now.

Great, great job :D
Aug 27 17:58:00 18h 31m Gojira-Chan no Densetsu Well done! It looks and plays very nicely. Congrats!
Aug 27 18:08:00 10m 00s A Series Of Totally Legit Events Nice text adventure :)

I've played a couple of times. The first one felt a bit hard to follow because of the options I'd taken, at some point it gave me the impression that some kind of leap had happen. The second was way smoother, and I enjoyed it.

Good job!
Aug 27 18:13:00 5m 00s Dr.Particulus: monster within Cool graphics! The random weapon generation was a cool idea, but the game felt a bit slow overall. The main music track set a nice mood, with sound effects to be applied to the powerups it would have been really cool.

Nice job!
Aug 27 18:18:00 5m 00s Intergalactic Love Machine Great style! Music really fit the visuals, which were impressive, and the answers were hilarious. Amazing entry, congratulations! :D
Aug 27 18:28:00 10m 00s You Have Been Found Guilty The setting and intro were amazing, they set the mood perfectly, and I really liked the graphics. Gameplay, though, lacked a bit of a challenge. At some point I just decided to ignore the guys and switch between jumping and running.
Aug 27 19:07:00 39m 00s (You are the) monster gaiden As a proof of concept it certainly looks promising. Gameplay-wise...not so much, as you said yourself.

Still, you've done an awesome job. Good luck with it! :D
Aug 27 19:35:00 28m 00s DRUMSTER Wow...the browser window is moving now @_@

You made an insane game, I love the progression in the styles and the way the difficulty ramps up. Of course, on a music game music is vital, and you nailed it, too.

One of the best entries I've seen so far, awesome job!
Aug 27 23:16:00 3h 41m B(L)OB Good graphics, catchy tune and fun gameplay. Nice job!
Aug 27 23:25:00 9m 00s Kaiju Down Under Luckily I live far from New Zealand, I wouldn't like to experience the attack of a massive kiwi :D

Really cool game, I digged the humour and the graphics. Congrats!
Aug 27 23:29:00 4m 00s Monstaaaaar! Very nice! I really liked the concept or defining the path for the monster, plus the graphics and music and the humorous touches.

Great job! :)
Aug 28 19:04:00 19h 35m Passengers Brilliant idea, a great example to show how games can be used for something more than just fun. I applaud you!
Aug 29 09:44:00 14h 40m The Mammoth: A Cave Painting So beautiful! The art style and audio were really fitting, and I loved the story as well.

Amazing entry, congrats! :)
Aug 29 09:48:00 4m 00s Match Very clever and original use of the theme, I loved the concept even if I felt like an awful person afterwards :D

Great job!
Aug 29 09:52:00 4m 00s V8000 AD Great mood! Music was really good, and I loved the colour palette. Gameplay was cool as well, awesome job!!
Aug 29 10:09:00 17m 00s Fear Syndicate Thesis Once you get past the bugs (I got stuck against the buildings twice at the beginning and had to restart) the game is a disturbing experience, which makes it a great match for the theme. Graphics and audio are top notch, as expected, so it is a pity that bugs got in the way. Will you attempt a post-jam version?

In any case, good job!
Aug 29 14:15:00 4h 06m Brood Brilliant entry! Lots of quality work and attention to the detail put in here, you can tell.

Congratulations!
Aug 29 14:30:00 15m 00s Lady Bug Brilliant entry! I loved the music, graphics were simple but very effective (I fell in love with the blood splotches, mostly because I got to see them a lot T_T), and gameplay felt very smooth, hard without feeling unfair.

One of the best compo entries I've seen so far, impressive job!
Aug 29 17:24:00 2h 54m Open the door and smile I loved the art style, plus the game concept and the focus mechanic. Great job for a compo entry! :)
Aug 29 17:29:00 5m 00s You Are The Monster - The Horrific Game Show All the tv host musings were incredibly funny, top scores for humour! Also, great take on the theme. Congrats!
Aug 29 18:11:00 42m 00s Investigator and the Case of the Red Herring Lovely entry, graphics and audio were really good, they create a great mood. Story was interesting with lots of charm, but in the end gathering clues felt just as a gimmick to advance the story forward (was the title/tavern name a pun on this?), and the player has no agency in how it unfolds in the end. Regardless, this is a very solid entry, congratulations!
Aug 29 18:26:00 15m 00s Separated Beautiful and melancholic atmosphere (that music!). You managed to capture and convey the feelings of loneliness and incomprehension from the others while at the same time trying to engage wih them brilliantly. There's not a lot to do, true, but I guess that was not the point of your entry.

Amazing entry.
Aug 30 10:56:00 16h 30m Ancient Storm: Legends of the League of Defence Heroes 2 Great concept! And the chat texts were very amusing, well done!
Aug 30 11:04:00 8m 00s Look Into The Mirror Nice art style, the character animation felt smooth :). Controls felt alright, too, but there were some issues with the collisions that added some unfair difficulty to the already challenging platforming (I'm perfectly fine with the game being difficult, but for example, on the second level a collision from the bottom of a platform would slowly drag the player and move it on top of it).

Still, I really liked the concept of gathering memories. Good job!
Aug 30 11:16:00 12m 00s The Old One Great mood! The concept, too, is solid and very well executed. It does feel slow, as expected from a massive rock/clay monster, so I can find no problem with that.

My only gripe is pretty minor, and it has to do with the use of roman digits used to build decimal numbers (I've seen you've changed that on the post-jam version).

Congrats, your entry was awesome! :)
Aug 30 11:28:00 12m 00s PokEscape: Magicrap's Stealthy Journey for Survival & Gyrodeuce Really good concept, and solid implementation. I liked the simple, clean graphics, they added a nice touch.

Well done!
Aug 30 22:37:00 11h 09m Monster Academy I LOVED it! :D
Great humour, polished minigames, and brilliant sound design.
Congrats!!
Aug 30 22:49:00 12m 00s Kraken Babies Very nice puzzle game, I really liked the different movement pattern for each sibling. It would be cool to see it further developed as a full fledge game.

Good work!
Aug 31 12:39:00 13h 50m Mobs, Inc. Wow...Your entry for the previous jam was impressive, and this one is at least as good.
Sep 1 23:05:00 34h 26m Clinical Trial This was psychedelic and creepy, I loved it!!
Sep 2 23:17:00 24h 12m The Monster Inside The atmosphere in this game is amazing, it totally matches the "noir" storyline. Speaking of which, I found it quite engaging, I was expecting some kind of a twist at the end to determine the connection to the theme, and I got it right and wrong at the same time n_nUU

Brilliant entry, congrats!
Sep 2 23:26:00 9m 00s Meet the Monsta Insanely difficult, insane art style, insanely fun audio design...I loved it!

Part of the difficulty came from the need to be really close to hit some enemies (the hellicopter, for instance), and the strange controls for movement. Were you aiming for some rhythm-based mechanics as well?

Despite this, I really enjoyed the game and the amount of polish is very high, you've made an incredible entry. Well done!!
Sep 2 23:46:00 20m 00s Monday Night Monsters This should totally be developed into a full game.

Perfect scores from me. The game idea is quite original and you've managed to fit the theme very cleverly (the skeleton announcer at the beginning and between goals were an awesome touch). Polish in graphics and audio was incredible for the amount of time, and the mechanics feel smooth, engaging and most important, FUN. Perhaps having the ability to define behaviour presets that can be overridden at any time by a player command could enhance the pacing, but I really like the micromanagement part as the core, too) %0
Sep 3 20:43:00 20h 57m PSYCHOSHARK I discovered your game through the post-mortem (I have a soft spot for the dramatic chipmunk and panicked bold texts). The idea is neat, with a bit more work and better preparation you will probably nail it.

Controls, animations and so on need more work for sure, but I'm already aware about your problems managing time, family logistics (latin drama...arghghhh), etc. Use the experience to learn from it and keep trying to get better at that, most of us are still fighting those same beasts: scheduling, scoping and The Unexpected (True story: last year a heavy storm in Barcelona fried my router and my laptop's power source the night before LD30 because I was away fooling around and couldn't unplug them. Luckily I had a spare power source, but I unsuccessfully tried to keep calm and work using my phone's 3G or look for an open library on a Saturday in August -LOL-, until the anxiety about the stupid internet connection at home beat me up and I ended opting out of the compo)

The game is not bad at all for a first entry, though. Congratulations, and good work! :D
Sep 3 21:10:00 27m 00s The Supper I loved the idea! I've seen quite a few whodunnit games on past LD editions, but this is the first I play where you reverse the role and the goal, it adds a very clever twist.

Graphics were very polished, too. Awesome entry!
Sep 3 21:16:00 6m 00s Prince Charming! You really get to feel like a sadistic monster playing this, that poor frog!!

I'll look like a psychopath now, but I have to say that it was embarrassingly funny, and it felt quite polished. Great job!!
Sep 3 21:30:00 14m 00s I am Death and Fire Controls and flamethrowing worked flawlessly and felt amazingly rewarding. As it is right now I was having plenty of fun by just soaring and burning everyone down, but I agree a bit with some of the other comments about a potential lack of more things to do in the long term (Considering the time restrictions and imagining the amount of work it took you guys to polish mechanics and aesthetics as much as you did perhaps that just wasn't feasible). Good news is...the game offers a lot of promise in terms of possible additions for a post-jam version if you're up to it.

Amazing job, congratulations!
Sep 11 11:01:00 181h 31m Player Rush Very solid entry, I haven't checked the post-jam version yet but I can easily imagine how you could expand the entry into a more solid project. Great job!
