Dec 7 07:09:00 Lava Miner Huh, a game in Angular. Interesting choice. <br/> <br/>Compo entry, right? Mind posting non-minified source?
Dec 8 06:27:00 23h 18m Tiny Square, Big Tower Huh, the bouncy platforms are surprisingly fun, when you can get yourself caught between two of them :). <br/> <br/>Also: "J" opens to an infinite-jump-in-midair exploit. Luckily, that's doesn't circumvent too much of the challenge.
Dec 8 07:07:00 40m 00s Glitch Adventure Interesting concept, but there's not a whole lot in terms of gameplay. It'd be interesting to see what you'd do with a bit more time for the gameplay itself.
Dec 8 07:17:00 10m 00s Fibonacci Grid Pretty neat! Ridiculously hard, but pretty neat!
Dec 8 07:22:00 5m 00s Super Resizer Interesting idea, which plays with the theme in a clever way :). Needs more game, but hey, it's Ludum Dare.
Dec 8 07:33:00 11m 00s Refresh Bizarre and painful to look at, but interesting nonetheless.
Dec 8 08:06:00 33m 00s Galaxia I have a mine factory factory factory factory factory (...I think). Recursion ftw! <br/> <br/>btw, download the standalone version. Depending on your browser, the web version might not play in the background :(.
Dec 8 08:20:00 14m 00s Beast Master No idea how to get past the second contract, and the ducks being slightly faster than the monster make it tedious to retry repeatedly.
Dec 8 08:27:00 7m 00s EGOS Nice :). I would've liked to have the music in the main game screen, as well as the title screen. But, other than that, very solid entry!
Dec 8 08:35:00 8m 00s Faction Master Seemed kinda basic, could do with some better graphics, and didn't *quite* fit on my screen :P.
Dec 8 08:40:00 5m 00s Mutton Mower Ah, good, NON-minified JS :). It would've been nice to see a "source" link as well, but "view page source" is a suitable substitute in this case. <br/> <br/>Kinda tricky, and you probably want to call preventDefault() when you handle up/down - in the embedded LD website version, up/down end up scrolling the page. <br/> <br/>The farmer grabbing his hat constantly amused me, though :).
Dec 8 08:43:00 3m 00s Dry Land Nice little melody in the background :). I'm just gonna let that keep playing for a bit, I think. Amusing end, too!
Dec 8 08:54:00 11m 00s Fill the bar NICE job, dude! The voiceover was great, and a nice opening to the little world you've got. I'm only sad that I "died" before seeing all of the things :(.
Dec 8 08:59:00 5m 00s Worms Interesting little toy, here. Not quite a game, but I imagine quite satisfying for the right sort of person :P. <br/> <br/>It'd be nice to have 2-3 death poses total, though.
Dec 8 09:14:00 15m 00s Hazard Lab Nifty idea. Level 1 is fun, level 2 was irritating (took too long to generate, and there wasn't much indication of what I should do). <br/> <br/>Also, get less bleepy audio :P. Or gen less bleepy audio, if you were using sfxr.
Dec 8 09:43:00 29m 00s Mutitask Hero Nifty idea, that I'd like to see taken further and polished (and given challenge in interesting forms). <br/> <br/>The individual sub-screens are WAY too big - I've got a reasonably standard laptop monitor (1366x768), and I think I was only seeing about 2/3 of each subscreen. <br/> <br/>Also, you've got just a few bugs ;). The "you won level 2/3!" text drew in the top-right corner for me, and somehow I got the boss into negative HP (bar going out the left) without getting a win notification.
Dec 8 09:51:00 8m 00s Approaching Grace Ah, this is MUCH nicer on the psyche than The Binding of Isaac :).
Dec 9 07:12:00 21h 21m Circuit Breaker The platforming here was non-obvious and difficult, and the disappearing "corrupt" blocks get in the way of play (pretty sure it's an actual bug). Would've been good to do a bit more bug-fixing and balancing.
Dec 9 07:26:00 14m 00s iJ Very nice graphics :). It's a pretty simple demo, but I'd be interested to see it developed further. <br/> <br/>Given the amount of functionality that's present, I think the interface is what's most in need of attention: it's not quite obvious what all the buttons do, and once or twice I thought a character would have a double-turn because I got confused about the difference between the portrait and the turn indicator. <br/> <br/>Come to think of it, I also have some SRPG code that is badly in need of art. I, uh... may have to send you an email...
Dec 9 07:31:00 5m 00s Snowman's Revenge Chrome has flagged this as malware for some reason (Windows version). Any ideas as to why that might be?
Dec 9 07:38:00 7m 00s If I Can Just Mine 5000 Crystals From This Weird Snowman Planet They'll Let My Daughter Go Free It's amusing(ly futile), but the UI needs work. It was a bit laggy for me, and hence hard to mine or burn crystals - although I also heard my fan spin up, so maybe it's just unoptimized (I'm on a laptop, although it *usually* handles modern games well).
Dec 10 07:36:00 23h 58m containment this is nifty and intriguing, but the LD version is woefully incomplete. <br/> <br/>Thanks for giving a completed version - it's a nifty mechanic you've got there! However, you should probably have the first link be to the *LD* version, for the sake of propriety.
Dec 10 07:48:00 12m 00s Colony: Asteroid Charming little program :). I wish you'd been able to take it further (at the VERY least a way to gain more money).
Dec 10 07:58:00 10m 00s Do Not Melt Rather nice audio :). The art was very nice as well, although it could've done with some improved visual cues in a few places (such as the distinction between pillars and edges being more obvious). <br/> <br/>Plus, this was actually more fun to play than some of the games that HAVE been finished.
Dec 10 07:59:00 1m 00s One Last Stand Dude, you should really link to the whole thing as a single zip file.
Dec 10 09:33:00 1h 34m Bugged Out Very nicely done :). Beautiful graphics, excellent use of the theme (you have one minigame on the front of a screen, the main game on the physical top of the screen, AND the whole thing fits the arcade definition of "single screen"), and a catchy tune. <br/> <br/>I did find the controls a bit hard to use, though - I'm confused by the trajectory of the silk attack (left click), and the charge attack (right click) never seemed to hit anything.
Dec 11 06:50:00 21h 17m Inventory Nooo! Jeff :(! Poor, delicious Jeff... And I suppose Todd, but who cares about Todd?
Dec 11 07:00:00 10m 00s Escape The Creeper! The first thing I noticed when opening this was some SERIOUS lag - seems like it's in the game logic loop rather than the render loop. Without looking at the source, I'd guess maybe related to the coins jumping around constantly (poorly optimized randomization)? <br/> <br/>The coins jumping around also seems a bit odd - I couldn't really discern enough of a pattern to really boost my score, other than staying away from the creeper. I'd suggest either having coins that move along random paths, or just having a timer as the score. <br/> <br/>Some of the graphics were a bit odd, too - I'm fine with the simple graphics, but if you're gonna use a creeper, you should really add at least ONE frame of an explosion ;). Also, it appears that the trees aren't actually obstacles? That surprised me quite a lot - misleading visual cues.
Dec 11 08:03:00 1h 03m Psychologist Simultor 2015 Amusing twist on the theme :). I also like this emerging trend of playing two or more games simultaneously - it's quite satisfying for my hyperactive mind.
Dec 11 08:19:00 16m 00s Pail & Shovel Sand! Sand sand sand sand! SAAAND GAAAAME ^_^! I like digging in sand :). <br/> <br/>Pretty nifty start you've got, it's a shame that you didn't get more in for the LD itself. I do look forward to future changes, though :). (also, perhaps you could say what license you want to apply?)
Dec 11 08:42:00 23m 00s Terra Nifty little program! It feels more like a tech demo than a game, but it's fun nonetheless. <br/> <br/>And the physics is fascinating... Particularly given that there's no perceptible lag, despite all those (potential) interactions. Seeing the source would be interesting, I think.
Dec 11 08:54:00 12m 00s Pickup Styx You must have a rather large screen for this all to fit on it. And unfortunately, you do need most of the vertical screen space to play effectively :-/... <br/> <br/>Also, the spacing of the fog needs a bit more balancing, I think (although I think you're already aware of that).
Dec 11 09:03:00 9m 00s Fungus War Nifty idea, although seems to need a bit of balancing - it seems to get into a stalemate-y situation fairly easily, where it's not immediately obvious if you're winning, losing, or just stuck. I think the mechanics in general could do with a bit more explanation - seems like there's nifty stuff going on, but I didn't understand it at first.
Dec 12 23:39:00 38h 36m Quiet Life Pretty nifty and ambitious. It does get kinda monotonous after you get a stable food supply, though - but, I suppose that's just a limitation of the 2 day time limit. <br/> <br/>Some of the sounds were a bit confusing, though - given that there aren't any animations, and there's a BIG set of tiles to assess every turn, I didn't always know what some of the beeps were for. <br/> <br/>Also, I had a bit of a sheepaggedon by late winter... maybe put a cap on the number of sheep that can exist at any given point?
Dec 13 02:18:00 2h 39m The Nth Dimension Clever idea, although the shooting feels a bit weak - in particular, there's no feedback whatsoever when the bullets hit your enemies. A number of times I ran *towards* the enemies because the lack of feedback makes it seem like they're one-hit kills, and I was sure that I had definitely lined the shot up correctly.
Dec 13 02:24:00 6m 00s Mini Screens Dude, loop your background music better next time (it's too short, and there's an obvious discontinuity when it loops). <br/> <br/>The game drags on for a bit too long, as well - a much shorter time, maybe 2 minutes, would probably make this more fun (since then it'd be a matter of how many mini-screens you can manage to make before the timer expires).
Dec 13 02:43:00 19m 00s The Best of Both Worlds That is amazing and mind-breaking. I think skewed a bit too much towards the mind-breaking, but still awesome. <br/> <br/>Also, kudos on doing a good variation on the idea of controlling multiple things at once, which seems to have cropped up repeatedly this time :).
Dec 13 03:08:00 25m 00s Entire Screen of One Game Ow. Ow ow ow. My brain. Ow. WHY did I play that right after "The Best of Both Worlds"? <br/> <br/>I may have to come back to this after I've done some nice, normal thinking. Like listening to relaxing music... or navigating a 4-dimensional maze... or mucking around with exotic uses of Git...
Dec 13 03:52:00 44m 00s Harvestier Rather fun once you get in a good groove. The graphics are nifty and good eyecandy, but I think something about the combination of colors and graphical effects could use a bit of work (though I'm not sure what, off-hand). <br/> <br/>Not really a one screen game, though :P. Four screens, maybe.
Dec 13 07:15:00 3h 23m Color Company Pretty nifty idea, but I found it really tricky. Couldn't get the pixel production up high enough before I ended up being swamped by the green or the light blue.
