| Dec 7 20:36:00 | Screen Mover | It seems we had similar ideas.
Well done, by the way. This was a very creative game. | |
| Dec 8 03:11:00 | 6h 35m | Cold Days Ahead | Very good art
Good music
Fits the theme

Does not have much in the way of innovation. Very bland, to be honest. You need to spend at least two actions every day, +fire and +wall, and then the remainder on hunting. Not much value in replaying, as there isn't anything you can do to help yourself survive, for all intents and purposes. |
| Dec 8 03:15:00 | 4m 00s | The X of Y | Mostly breaks down to walking a lot. I assume there is no way to fight back, only move, making the gameplay rather bland.
However, I did enjoy the random generation and the names. These are the saving grace of the game, making you want to play again, just to see what you get.
The art and music were also nice. |
| Dec 8 03:23:00 | 8m 00s | Snowman Builder | Yet another idle game. It's on one screen, but... Really?

Perhaps I'm being too harsh here, but I am fed up with idle games. There have been just so many of them recently.

Apart from that, the buttons are hard to read until you have enough to buy that item. |
| Dec 8 03:30:00 | 7m 00s | StarFighter | The web version is currently down. |
| Dec 8 03:44:00 | 14m 00s | Antimatter | Very slow at the start, and after about a minute or two, I finally reflected the first orb enough to get another. From there, it grew at an insane speed, getting more than a dozen on the screen at once in almost no time at all (by comparison to the beginning).
On the whole though, it's a pretty fun game. The art is nice, it fits the theme, well done. |
| Dec 8 03:57:00 | 13m 00s | Blocked | Very well done! I like the spontaneous feel of the game, forcing you to figure out the new rules of each round quickly.
The visuals are also very nice and smooth.
The downside are the controls for some parts of the game. It's very hard to control, making it difficult to jump up on the tiny little blocks. (I am referring to the platformer section.)
Well done! |
| Dec 8 04:10:00 | 13m 00s | Robo Pusher | Rather difficult to control.

Also, as a side note, the music was literally painful to listen to. The loud beeps in it forced me to turn it off.
As for a way to improve in that aspect, try making the music really soft, and then the user can increase the volume if they want to. Also, avoid really high pitches when dealing with straight tones, nobody likes those.

On a more positive note, I liked the idea of removing things from the screen, and I think it made good use of the theme.
Well done, and welcome to the LD. |
| Dec 8 04:26:00 | 16m 00s | GrayGrid | Very difficult, but well made.
It took me a bit to understand the swapping thing.
Good, minimalist graphics, good design, it's hard to find a negative.
Very well done! |
| Dec 8 04:39:00 | 13m 00s | Space Cargo | The graphics are absolutely beautiful, especially for a LD compo. The gameplay does get a bit tedious, though. |
| Dec 8 04:56:00 | 17m 00s | Train your Jedi ! | Well made. Reminds me of a game the I played... wow, ages ago.
Well done. |
| Dec 8 04:58:00 | 2m 00s | Bomb Disposal Unit | Unable to unzip properly. |
| Dec 8 05:03:00 | 5m 00s | Oh, rats! | The controls are a bit frustrating for me. Going through single spaces is a bit clunky.
Good graphics and feel, though. |
| Dec 8 05:11:00 | 8m 00s | Play Space Outvaders | That moment when you first get zoomed out... I was laughing hard enough I lost almost all the stages right away.
On the whole, well done. |
| Dec 8 05:42:00 | 31m 00s | Space Inquisitor | Well done, though you can't actually run out of fuel (I was at -30% by the end).
Great artwork, by the way. |
| Dec 8 05:52:00 | 10m 00s | Murder and Snow | Well done, I liked the idea of it being yourself and instead of trying to find out who did it, you are trying to find someone to frame. |
| Dec 8 05:56:00 | 4m 00s | Tiny Bit | This is a great game. It's well polished (though it is a bit annoying how easy it is to hit a X block), with great graphics.
It's also a great take on the theme!
Well done! |
| Dec 8 05:58:00 | 2m 00s | Panic Course | This was enjoyable. An expansion on this concept would go over well, I think. |
| Dec 8 06:07:00 | 9m 00s | ATSS - A Typical Space Shooter | Very difficult to control. Hard to hit the enemies. This is partially just part of the game, though, so it's not that big a criticism, but it does seem to be a bit difficult.
Nice graphics, though. |
| Dec 8 06:24:00 | 17m 00s | AntiPlane | Only once have I seen terrain pop into existence.
Amazing game, I can't find anything wrong with it. (Per se)
Wow. |
| Dec 8 07:37:00 | 1h 13m | Space Roach Exterminator | Very well done! I really enjoyed the physics, and how they allowed for a unique type of gameplay, even though the basic gameplay is simplistic.
Roach party! |
| Dec 8 07:51:00 | 14m 00s | Strikethrough | Fantastic graphics and gameplay!

My only complaint is the controls. Why enter? Using X or something similar would have worked better, as it wouldn't be so foreign.
Maybe something entirely different? I don't know... It's just weird the way it is now. |
| Dec 8 18:41:00 | 10h 50m | Cyclic Clash | I had a hard time understanding it. Instructions in the game itself might help a bit, with visuals. (I do know about the main screen having the cycle, but it's hard to remember.) |
| Dec 8 18:45:00 | 4m 00s | Project 327 | The idea is good, but it isn't too well refined. That's mostly just because of the time limit, and given that, it is good.
It seems too easy to run into things. Showing collision might help. |
| Dec 8 18:57:00 | 12m 00s | Squadron Commander | I really like the concept, could work well if it was multiplayer, or something along those lines.
I found it difficult to do too much, what with each ship (apart from the shielder) having only one life point. I'm not too sure what you could do for that, but it's something to think about. |
| Dec 8 20:11:00 | 1h 14m | Galaxia | Clicks. Lots of clicks. Click click click. |
| Dec 8 21:15:00 | 1h 04m | To Continue | INSANELY difficult, even the post-compo version I tried I could only get to level 2 after about a dozen tries. |
| Dec 8 21:25:00 | 10m 00s | Pixel Peon | A nice take on the theme. |
| Dec 8 21:27:00 | 2m 00s | Screen Escape | Very well done, very innovative given the use of the theme, and well polished.
Great job! |
| Dec 8 21:38:00 | 11m 00s | Do you want to kill a snowman? | +1 for team noman. |
| Dec 8 21:48:00 | 10m 00s | Fireflies | I like the AI. They actually seem natural. With a small bit of work, they could be fantastic.

As a side note, increase the max number of pixel lights in the 'quality' window. That will help. |
| Dec 8 22:07:00 | 19m 00s | Mechanism | I like how the audio of the blocks moving is like the music for the game. It's very fitting. |
| Dec 8 22:08:00 | 1m 00s | Mosaic | Instantly crashed. Too bad, it looks like fun. |
| Dec 8 22:27:00 | 19m 00s | Orion | The level sometimes ends way too early. I would recommend a manual reload.
Apart from that, well done. |
| Dec 9 01:59:00 | 3h 32m | Battle of the screen | Great concept, but I feel like it's lacking a bit. Understandable, though, given the 72 hour time limit.
Well done! |
| Dec 10 19:46:00 | 41h 47m | Snowma'am | It's slow. The art and sound are nice, but it is REALLY slow.
I think the issue stems from trying to mix turn based strategy with real time strategy. |
| Dec 10 23:52:00 | 4h 06m | At Last, This Will Be Our Final Battle | Rather difficult, but I found letting the knight die actually helped me a lot, given that the boss dealt more damage if I dealt more damage to it.
Also, it's a tad incomplete, though that's not an issue given the time limit.
The graphics are fantastic, by the way.
Well done! |
| Dec 11 00:21:00 | 29m 00s | Serenity | Beautiful work. |
| Dec 13 21:05:00 | 68h 44m | ROCKROCKET | Amazing job for a first game. |
| Dec 14 02:55:00 | 5h 50m | Snow Day Tiles by Stipple3D | Simple, but very fun. Not much to suggest as far as improvements. I can see this being made into a mobile game.
Well done! |
| Dec 15 20:13:00 | 41h 18m | Operation Barrage | This would work well on a mobile device, especially if you could make it so two people could play at once on the same screen. |
| Dec 15 20:20:00 | 7m 00s | Swarmed | This was rather well done.
I think you could really expand upon the idea of selecting another dead robot as your new self. Such a game could be truly amazing.

BUG: Something happened with the 'double barrel' weapon, and I couldn't fire. |
| Dec 17 02:31:00 | 30h 11m | Faction War | Broken link. Please fix. |
| Dec 17 02:37:00 | 6m 00s | Veggie Kerfuffle | An interesting idea, though it doesn't seem very prudent to attack the monster. (Though I wasn't able to test it with multiple people, so perhaps I'm incorrect in saying that.) I would recommend that you give some incentive to attacking the monster, such as points, or some other bonus. |
| Dec 17 02:44:00 | 7m 00s | Evoccalypse | This feels like a bit of a wasted opportunity, though I understand given the time limit. Try to have something be different mechanically when you become a zombie. It's a great opportunity to do something new a unique with the concept, you just need to take it.
But I do understand the time limit is... limiting.
Nice art, by the way. |
| Dec 17 02:46:00 | 2m 00s | Sir Sorts A Lot | The art is nice.
However, it would be nice to have something else happen. Rather incomplete, though that is understandable given the time limit. |
| Dec 17 02:52:00 | 6m 00s | The Blind Monk | An interesting idea. I ruined it for myself due to the fact that I was sure there would be some form of jump scare, so I kept my eyes open, but it still made me think about how much we rely on our vision, rather than our hearing. Furthermore, it made me think about how long it takes us to realize there is something wrong if something doesn't happen, even if we can't see it.
Well done. |
| Dec 17 03:19:00 | 27m 00s | Cosmic Escape | Broken. Please fix, it looks interesting. |
| Dec 17 03:34:00 | 15m 00s | Boss Rush | The controls are horribly clunky, and really hard to do much with. Nice idea and graphics, though. |
| Dec 17 05:57:00 | 2h 23m | E.R.A.S. | Fun, but for some reason I couldn't replace certain cables. Furthermore, it would be nice to see where cables used to be, via some faded-out cable over an eaten cable. |
| Dec 17 06:03:00 | 6m 00s | Crappy 3D Model House | The controls were too difficult to use. You constantly slide all over. Furthermore, for this sort of game, I would recommend not having a time limit on finding an object, as checking just one level can probably take about 30 seconds in the first place. I feel it would be better as a more relaxed game, though you could have a timed mode if you wanted. |
| Dec 18 22:29:00 | 40h 26m | Spacebank Heist | I feel that it was a little difficult to do much of anything, especially with enemies that took more than one hit to kill, given there is no stealth aspect. Being able to plant bombs and not have everyone run away unless someone sees you would be nice. |
| Dec 21 05:27:00 | 54h 58m | Space Cube | Very unclear as to what is going on. Having a bit of text describing what everything is would be helpful.
Furthermore, using raycasting for collision detection would be a good move; I'm not sure you do. (Maybe you do and I can't tell.)
Regardless, give some indication of when the player hits the enemy. Make a particle spray or something that goes away after a moment. Something.
Nice graphics, though. |
| Dec 21 05:34:00 | 7m 00s | Illumination | ...Unclear, I couldn't make it past the second level.
I do like the idea, though.
Please don't disable ratings entirely, though. The point is to gain feedback. You gain nothing by just disabling the ratings. |
| Dec 25 09:29:00 | 99h 55m | OMNI | I would like to finish, but given that I've now restarted the boss fight about 10 times, I have to quit.
This game does have a great use of the theme and great mechanics, but I can't help but get annoyed at the lack of checkpoints. If you screw up once, you have to go back to the beginning. (Apart from the boss fight, but then you just go back to the beginning of the boss fight.)
This is even worse in the boss fight, as the attacks are seemingly random, even though there isn't any randomness. This means the player has to play through and just memorize what the boss does, without any hope of winning until they completely get the routine down. (For this, some form of life to give the player a little wiggle room would be nice, or some warning of what is about to happen. The first part does the latter nicely, but the foot-stomping is impossible to predict or dodge if messed up on.)
Overall, this is a good game, but it requires some polishing in order to be a great game. |
| Dec 25 22:38:00 | 13h 09m | Klieu - Cargo Carrier | This seems to be unfinished, to put it plainly.
However, I can still see a great game in it. I like the idea, it sort of reminds me of FTL in some ways. I like the music too. However, it seems that it was too much to do in too short a time. Best of luck next Dare. |
| Dec 25 23:48:00 | 1h 10m | Steve vs The Spinning Ballet Monsters! | There isn't actually a point to putting up wood/sandbags, I tested it by putting everything on one window and the monsters came through just the same.
Even if there was a point to renforcement, you still need some way of getting more resources in order for this game to work. |
| Dec 25 23:52:00 | 4m 00s | spy race | Making an engine from scratch with multiplayer can't be easy. Well done.
Unfortunately, there isn't exactly a game. =\
Understandable, given the time limit, and how you did make it from scratch, but still. |
| Dec 25 23:59:00 | 7m 00s | Standoff | For a game like this, you should give the player some indication of exactly where they're aiming. Otherwise it's impossible to ricochet accurately. |
| Dec 26 00:03:00 | 4m 00s | aMAZEing | I like the idea, but some fine tuning is needed, particularly with the collisions. |
| Dec 26 00:05:00 | 2m 00s | Keep Gamers Alive | Crashes before I finish the first game. Has done so multiple times. |
| Dec 26 00:12:00 | 7m 00s | Nexus Elemental Wae | It feels like pure snowball wars. One side gets ahead, they win. End of story.
Part of the issue is that it seems that there isn't any counter-circle setup. (By which I mean, fire is weak to ice, ice is weak to earth, etc.)
However, an expansion on this concept could yield great results. |
| Dec 26 00:17:00 | 5m 00s | Advanced Mayonaise | Seems that there is just some error in the code which gives the wonky results with regards to your aim.
Good work for a first entry, though! |
| Dec 26 00:25:00 | 8m 00s | The Corporate Ladder | Good to know I could be the CEO of a company where my only job is to throw papers in the faces of employees who look away from their work for a moment.
Is that what I'm doing...?
Nothing really stands out as overly flawed. Good work. |
| Dec 26 00:45:00 | 20m 00s | FISHERMANS FRIENDS | Is there actually an ending if you properly input the code? I think I managed, but I might have made a typo somewhere. (I copied the code into notepad, and I can touch-type.)
Or is the 'a' at the end in a base other than 10?
Or is there no ending?
Regardless, I did enjoy it. |
| Dec 26 00:53:00 | 8m 00s | Crush Quest | It was a bit annoying to have to go back to the very beginning when I screwed up (even slightly).
However, this is a nice take on the theme, and the graphics are awesome.
Great job! |
| Dec 26 00:58:00 | 5m 00s | Space Guardian | Why isn't audio a category for rating?
Apart from that, good game. It reminds me of MAD a bit. |
| Dec 26 01:03:00 | 5m 00s | Grass crawl | I did figure out how to move, but not how to attack or do anything else.
Regardless, I do see potential in this. You just need to add instructions in order for it to be playable. |
| Dec 26 23:48:00 | 22h 45m | Venus: The last defenders | ...Needs expansion on the idea before one can really judge it. I like the idea in some regards, and I can see some directions to go with it, but I also feel like I've seen this before.
I would like to see what you would do with it, though. It does have potential. |
| Dec 27 01:16:00 | 1h 28m | Kaiser | Very hard. Maybe I'm just not good at it, but this game was insanely difficult for me (I didn't finish it, I just watched the playthrough =P).
However, it is a good game. I especially like the artwork. Well done. |
| Dec 28 01:01:00 | 23h 45m | RGBox | There are some bits of fine-tuning to be made, but overall, what you have here is solid.
However, it feels limited. Maybe it's just me, but I think it would be better if you died if you touched something that WAS your color, as that would allow you to walk across two blocks without needing to jump. Otherwise movement is incredibly difficult.
Regardless, well done! |
| Dec 29 00:58:00 | 23h 57m | Game of the Probability Goose | I really liked this game! It was a lot of fun to play (I like games like this a lot =P), and I though I didn't really think there was a huge amount of innovation, I still think it's a nice twist to be able to change which die you use. It helps reduce the random element, which is a godsend for this type of game.
I could see this as a bigger game, if you were willing to add more content to it. Right now, there isn't too much. However, for 48 hours, this was fantastic. Well done! |
| Dec 29 20:47:00 | 19h 49m | Red Repair | I didn't quite get it at first, but I understood it pretty quickly.
Great job, not much to say that hasn't been said.
Though one thought is that it might do well to add in choices that are more moral-based, forcing the player to either try to be a white knight or a cold, calculating commander, who only needs to get through the mission. |
| Dec 29 22:51:00 | 2h 04m | Greeny GRUB | The controls are difficult, but I don't actually hate them too much. They just take some getting used to. The game might be better if you improved them, though.
Sometimes the red circles were nearly impossible to see, though, which was really annoying.
Well done! |
| Dec 29 22:56:00 | 5m 00s | Ninja Rain | There needs to be an indication of when you get hit. Furthermore, the controls are too slippery to do much with, so it's difficult to get any of the crates.
However, the concept is solid, and I can see a great game here. It just needs some fine-tuning.
It also might work well on a mobile device, if you could come up with good controls. |
