| Aug 25 02:54:00 | Constellations | Not bad at all, I found myself really drawn to this game. It needs some polish on graphics and sounds, but it is really fun to play as is. I also liked the difficulty curve.

Managed to get to 50 points on my first play. Thanks for the game! | |
| Aug 25 03:02:00 | 8m 00s | Planetshaker for Android | Nice work, fellow android developer :-) The application worked without any problems on my Fujitsu phone. The idea is rather original. Here is some suggestions:

* Add a QR code with your download address in the screenshots. In this way if I am browsing on the computer I can use this image to download it directly to my phone.

* Your game lacks some "choice" - right now it is just about shaking the phone as fast as possible. How about if sometimes there were TWO planets that you could connect to, with different point values? This would make the game much more intense.

Cheers! |
| Aug 25 03:11:00 | 9m 00s | Planetary Escape | Hey, nice try. I liked how your planets looked like, but you really shouldn't be using those textures according to the rules ;-)

As for the game, I think the two things you should concentrate at is the behavior of enemy planets and player control. I played the HTML version, and it often happened that a "checkpoint" would appear in a corner, and an enemy planet would get stuck there, rendering the level unwinnable - to avoid that, make sure that the enemy planets are always moving, and make them despawn after a while.

Also, because the game requires reflexes, you should give some more love to the players control - maybe remove the bounce when the player collides with the walls would help a lot in that sense.

Thanks for making your game available in so many different platforms! That rock :-) |
| Aug 25 03:23:00 | 12m 00s | Planets in the scale | The idea of trying to figure out what you are thinking regarding the "combination" of the worlds is rather cool (Cat + Cat = kittens).

However, you need to check how you are setting up your viewport! In my phone that has a lot of resolution/dpi, everything looks tiny, and it is impossible to understand some messages. Also, it becomes really hard to "hit" the planet and make a connection.

Maybe you should check what you are using to define the viewport in the camera? That should probably be a fixed value :-)

Cheers, |
| Aug 25 03:28:00 | 5m 00s | Gravity Flipper | Fantastic, the game is very simple but extremely effective. I love the overall feel of the graphics, and the music fits perfectly. The game is very fun as well.

I would suggest that you replace one of the screenshots in this page with a QR code for the android download page, so that people who find this game from a PC can access the phone version directly :-)

Cheers! |
| Aug 25 03:51:00 | 23m 00s | Abstrakt | Very good! I figured out what was going on almost 3/4ths of the way in - that was a great idea that fit very well with the theme.

I'm not the biggest fan of the psychodelic mood, and the game could be a little bit faster, but I really liked what you tried to pull here overall.

Thanks for the game! |
| Aug 25 04:05:00 | 14m 00s | School Schism | Nice seeing a game from you again! This is a very intriguing idea. I guess since I must have been one of the first few playing, my "school" was quite empty, but at least I managed to "exit" through the roof.

I will check back on the game after a few more people have played to see if I notice any big differences :-)

Cheers, and thanks for the game! |
| Aug 25 04:07:00 | 2m 00s | Lunaform | I wanted to play, but Unity Web player does not work in linux. Could you make a binary version available as well? (Unity has an option for a linux-compatible export :-))

Cheers, |
| Aug 25 04:09:00 | 2m 00s | Choices are for the Living | The download link offers a "catrobat" file -- what do I use to open that? Is it a binary? |
| Aug 25 04:15:00 | 6m 00s | Princess Color | Hey congratulations on your first Ludum Dare! Your game worked without a problem in my phone.

I think that for a first participation, this was very nice, although there are some places it can be improved.

For example, during the game we collect many coins: but what are those coins for? You should add a counter somewhere of how many coins you got.

Also, you only have one life, and you restart from the beginning -- In game jams this is not such a great idea, because then people can't really see much of the game, specially if you make it too difficult by accident (something way to common).

Anyway, congratulations, and thanks for the game! |
| Aug 25 04:20:00 | 5m 00s | Connected Worlds Training Facility | Well, that was a really fine game, the graphics are well done, and the controls are really smooth. The idea has been done before, but I think your execution was really solid. I liked the little detail of the "rec" symbol in the bottom. Too bad it only has two stages.

Cheers, and thanks for the game! |
| Aug 25 04:22:00 | 2m 00s | Pen and Pixel | This sounds really ambitious! I'll try to find some people to try it with. |
| Aug 25 04:26:00 | 4m 00s | Space Merchant | Very nice idea for a puzzle game. I like how you used the Android Style to make the game "flow" with the system.

That said, the game still feels a little "barren" - connecting "A" "X" and "Z" resources is not as interesting as if the resources were something more concrete. Also sounds and music would make this game much more attractive to play. |
| Aug 25 07:48:00 | 3h 22m | Edmon's Illness | Not a bad Idea. I like how the game tie itself together.

On my phone, the "mines" were very hard to see, which led to some frustation. I hope to see you improve this game in the future. |
| Aug 25 07:56:00 | 8m 00s | A Pong Between Worlds | Very good idea, but the implementation falls short. It is not very clear where the ball is coming, and the collision between the balls and the paddle feels stramge. Also, the game should detect multiple touches on a phone.

Thanls for the game! |
| Aug 26 00:50:00 | 16h 54m | Delightful Harmony | The game is very beautiful, loved that. The gameplay needs a bit of work, specially the collision detection of the "spinners" |
| Aug 26 01:06:00 | 16m 00s | Orbital Expansion | Very interesting game, I love the concept. But the implementation needs to improve a bunch.

First, too many ads. I already think That ads in a LD game is in bad taste, but your game had full screen ads ALL the time.

There is also a small bug where you cannot buy something if you have exactly the right number of resources. |
| Aug 26 08:37:00 | 7h 31m | Connecting LD30 to the Real World | This is fantastic! I am going to use it a lot!

Two usability comments:
1- For some reason, scroll wheel up zooms in the map and scroll wheel down zooms out the map - it feels like it should be the other way around.

2- Also you cannot drag the map around, only click to move it, which is a bit unintuitive.

But super awesome idea, have all my stars! |
| Aug 27 08:31:00 | 23h 54m | Good vs Evil | congrats for making your game! The graphics work against you, I think. In my phone, the text and sprites are too tiny, and it is hard to make out anything. A more abstract style would have been better in my opinion.

Cheers, and hope to see you next LD! |
| Aug 27 08:55:00 | 24m 00s | Yond | Very interesting concept - TSA simulator 2200 :) Loved the art style. However, the logic behibd the game system was hard to grasp, which didnt make it very fun. I felt like it was impossible to understand what was required with the information available. |
| Aug 27 09:48:00 | 53m 00s | Going Postal | Very good, loved the humor and the replayability. Thanks for the game :) |
| Aug 27 09:54:00 | 6m 00s | Political Planeting | Tried to play in my android phone, but it is not really playable. The game does notresize its graphics based on the screen size, so the font is very tiny and the background does not cover the whole screen.

You can solve both problems by correctly using the Ortho Camera before your rendering pass! Good luck :) |
| Aug 27 10:18:00 | 24m 00s | TransmissionForce | Fun, and quite polished :) Liked it a lot! The text font is tiny in my phone, though. |
| Aug 30 16:27:00 | 78h 09m | Shinyrock | Like the others said, interesting mechanics and intro, hope to see more of this game! |
| Aug 30 16:32:00 | 5m 00s | Two Empires | Seems like an interesting entry! Unity can release versions for Mac and Linux too very easily, so you should definitely add Mac and Linux versions so that more people can play your game!

Cheers! |
| Aug 30 16:37:00 | 5m 00s | ggLD | Congratulations on finishing your game!

Some quick and easy tips that would make a game like yours much better:

* Add an score -- your game is about reflexes, so trying to achieve a high score seems like a very likely goal.
* Add a lose condition -- something that the player has to fight against. In your game, you could give the player some time limit, so that the goal is to get the highest score before the end of the time limit.
* Add some sounds: if there were sounds when the universes are destroyed, the game would be 10x better :-)

Good luck! |
| Aug 30 16:46:00 | 9m 00s | SpaceM | Super cool idea! I ran it on my linux box without many problem (there was some error messages about sound libraries, the game had sfx but no music).

The idea is really fun, and generally the player would follow my "head", but the game paused all the time -- not sure if because of the lighting in my room or what. I would certainly enjoy a more well calibrated version of the game, but good job anyway! |
| Aug 30 16:50:00 | 4m 00s | Untangle~! | You said that the game is laggy, but in my machine it is actually way too fast! The monsters kill me before I have the chance to do anything.

This means that probably you are not frame-limiting your code. I am not familiar with the Allegro library, but you should count how much time each logic/render loop is taking, and use this time to limit the number of logic/render loops that you do in a time period.

Good luck next LD! :-) |
| Aug 30 16:52:00 | 2m 00s | Trapped in a Computer | If you did the game in Lua, it should be easy to add a Linux version as well :-) |
| Aug 30 16:59:00 | 7m 00s | World 255 | That was short but sweet. I like the many different visual effects you put into the game -- specially the initial menus. It would be nice if there was some sort of choice involved in some of the scenarios.

Cheers! |
| Aug 30 17:11:00 | 12m 00s | Boulevard of Broken Themes | Pretty awesome idea! Unfortunately I suck and can't get past the invisible character level :-( Maybe you should let more doors open from the beginning?

Played this on Wine, sound was not working. |
| Aug 30 17:30:00 | 19m 00s | Collision | I loved the idea -- moving around the rooms that compose the world is a really unique way to create a puzzle game. The music and sound effects are nice - now you just need to care a bit more about the graphics.

Cheers, and awesome game! |
| Sep 6 16:05:00 | 166h 35m | Through The Wormhole | Very neat little game - the graphics are decently done, loved the parallax background. Also the gameplay is on the sweet spot that will make me do the "just one more try" dance.

The collision was a bit iffy, I often died when I "thought" I had cleared an obstacle. One thing that would be cool would be to make a sound every time you clear an obstacle . This would be the beginnings of a rhythm game :-)

There is also a small visual glitch. When you go to the bottom lane, the entire screen slides down and you can't see the top wall anymore.

Thanks for the game! |
| Sep 6 16:14:00 | 9m 00s | Dreamonaut | Very neat game. The game play is smooth, and the art style is really good.

One nitpick is that the "bang" visual effect clashes with the rest of the art in the game. |
