| Apr 27 17:03:00 | Reciprocal Transmission | Hey! Congratulations on finishing your game.

Since you made it in Unity, you should also export your game to Windows/Mac/Linux - the unity web plug in does not work with some browsers :-)

Thank you! | |
| Apr 28 15:57:00 | 22h 54m | Village By The Lake | That was a very cool idea. The game was responsible and without bugs. I loved looking at all the little details that you put in both mirrored worlds.

It would be very nice if the people reacted in some way when you gave them items, as it is, it felt a bit pointless. |
| Apr 28 15:59:00 | 2m 00s | Firefly | That was a pretty interesting idea. I liked exploring the scenes under the lights of the fireflies.

One thing that disappointed me a bit is that the screenshots show dozens of fireflies, but the first three or four levels only had a couple of them... |
| Apr 28 16:10:00 | 11m 00s | Hare's Harvest | Wow, the sound for this game was pretty fantastic. The individual tunes are simple, but they give a very distinctive personality to the NPCs and environments. I loved Dog's music! :-)

I was a bit annoyed that I had to press a key over and over. I get it that you wanted this to be a turn-based game, but a way for the key-press to auto-repeat would be welcome, I think. |
| Apr 28 16:16:00 | 6m 00s | Friend of the Fisherman | Oh, wow, I really liked your style. The gameplay and graphics really came together on this one! I felt sorry for the fisherman every time his cable was cut.

Masterfully done, thanks for the game!

By the way, I tested this on wine - sound did not work, but other than that the game worked fine.

Cheers! |
| Apr 28 16:27:00 | 11m 00s | I n e s c o | The graphics are really pretty, but as far as I could tell, the game was just "walk around lost in a Unity Landscape until you fall off the world".

I found the poisonous river, and the only way I could find to get across was climbing a stone wall nearby, but on the other side of the stone wall seemed to be the end of the level (only empty grasslands as far as I could see)

A little bit more orientation to the player would have been nice.

Thanks for the game! |
| Apr 28 16:37:00 | 10m 00s | ExploitedMiner | Very interesting idea. The game is still a bit rough, but it has a lot of potential. People have already commented on the q-a issue. Well, I didnt manage to complete the first level. I got 1000 gold, but nothing happened.

Having somewhat more expanded instructions in the beginning would have been nice.

Thanks for the game, and congratulations on completing your first ludum dare! |
| Apr 28 16:42:00 | 5m 00s | Sundiver | Interesting ideas and graphics, but the game is too frustrating to play. The homing enemies are too fast, and when they get into your field of view it is too late and they hit you before you can do anything.

If you can balance that a little bit, this looks like an awesome game. |
| Apr 29 03:46:00 | 11h 04m | Carnival Warfare | Wow, that was pretty nice game! Not only the mechanics were something that I haven't seen in LD often, but the use of the theme was also quite creative!

The only problem I had with the game is that the text for the updates was quite hard to read - I spent many precious seconds trying to understand what the upgrades were, and their cost.

Thanks for the game!

(PS: the game works on wine, but since you're using Unity, could you also add a linux binary? Thanks!) |
| Apr 29 03:51:00 | 5m 00s | Armadrillo | Tried to play your game, but Wine was not happy with it. Got a crash after the title screen :-( |
| Apr 29 04:00:00 | 9m 00s | Down | That was... poignant. Thanks for the game!

As always, your graphics and music leave nothing to be desired.

I tried to hammer the first skeleton, but nothing happened. Am I a bad person? :-)

Cheers! |
| Apr 29 04:05:00 | 5m 00s | Extinction | Well, as you said, the game is still quite rough, but I can see the jewel beneath the rock :-)

I hope that you take the time to polish and improve - I think one of the most important things right now is to show clearly what are the needs of the colony - you have bars over the menu, but a more colorful and explanatory HUD would be great.

Cheers! |
| Apr 29 04:16:00 | 11m 00s | Descent | Wow, that is a punishing game, but I loved the idea. It is hard, but it seems to have a high skill ceiling - I feel like playing more of it when I have the time :-)

Lots of configuration screens, plugin API, level editor ... you get some extra points from me for such work on the framework of your game :-)

There is, of course, a lot that can be improved, but I'm quite impressed by what I saw. Thanks for the game! |
| Apr 29 04:26:00 | 10m 00s | Breathless | Completed the game in 165 actions!

The game was pretty fun - the fact that the pieces got into each other's way was pretty interesting. There are a bunch of graphical glitches, and no sound (as you mentioned), but this is a solid idea that just needs some more polishing! |
| Apr 29 04:33:00 | 7m 00s | RoBroMiner | Could use a title screen, but I had a lot of fun with it. The rocks' physics are wonky sometimes.

Programmable games always have a special place in my heart too :-)

I wish we could make the captain fall into the hole too :-P Am I a bad person? |
| Apr 29 04:35:00 | 2m 00s | Atoms - Literally beneath the surface | I couldn't get it to run on firefox or Chromium :-( I just get a black screen. What are you using to make this? |
| Apr 29 04:43:00 | 8m 00s | Color Graphics Adventure | I like your "platform" links :3

The game was pretty cool, there are many mechanics to keep track (such as the rock-paper-scissors) colors, which I kinda like.

How are the attributes at the top determined?

There should be some meta-cards: Cards that reshuffle your hand or something like that.

Cheers, and thanks for the game! |
| Apr 29 15:46:00 | 11h 03m | Digging up Daisy | Very cute game, I liked it!

It seems to me that the levels are fixed? I think it would probably be a bit more interesting if the levels were randomized when you lost and had to retry.

Thanks for the game! |
| Apr 29 16:08:00 | 22m 00s | June 20th | Thanks for the game! I think you shouldn't have added the spoiler at the airplane -- it half-spoiled the ending for me :-) |
| Apr 29 16:17:00 | 9m 00s | Kalahari Babysitter | Banging! This game was really awesome and fun :-) I couldn't quite get the timing of the double perfect jump, but I did try.

Really liked the music. |
| Apr 29 16:26:00 | 9m 00s | Escape - Beneath the Surface | Hmm, I couldn't quite understand the game. I found the box and the tool by furious clicking, but then I couldn't find anything else. There didn't seem to be a way to combine the item or do other actions, and once I closed the game by mistake, by trying to click everything on the menu. :-P |
| Apr 29 16:40:00 | 14m 00s | You're Pulleying My Leg | That is a pretty involved puzzle! I liked the general idea, although I just cleared the first two thirds for now.

Thanks for the game! |
| Apr 29 16:52:00 | 12m 00s | Earthen Terror | Pretty cool game, quite hard. It took me a while until I realized that I could swap blocks with empty air, and use that to make blocks fall.

The connection with the theme is a bit of a stretch, though. |
| Apr 29 17:00:00 | 8m 00s | Super Stomp Combo | The game may be incomplete, but I really like what I see. The fight with the boss was a lot of fun.

By the way, it is possible to "fly" if you manage to stay above the boss shooting straight down - you never go back into the ground! |
| Apr 29 17:26:00 | 26m 00s | SnakeFormer - Half Snake, Half Platformer | Uh, something is weird on the Linux zip file. I get this when trying to unzip it. Maybe it is corrupted?

"checkdir error: SnakeFormer exists but is not directory
unable to process SnakeFormer/SnakeFormer.x86."

(same error message for all files inside the zip) |
| Apr 30 15:26:00 | 22h 00m | Escape from the depths! The ascension of the almighty one! | Congratulations on your first completed game! For a first LD, this was a pretty well fleshed out entry!

The songs were really nice. A bit on the difficult side, but I think that is a good thing. The levels could be a tad shorter, at least in the beginning.

Thanks for the game! |
| May 1 15:19:00 | 23h 53m | Life story | That was a pretty neat game. I like puzzles who are not afraid to be hard. There are some graphical glitches (squares showing up around the sprites), but the game in general is pretty solid.

Thanks for the game! |
| May 1 15:24:00 | 5m 00s | Box Simulator | A friend recommended me this game. But it is Unity Web Plugin only, which does not work in my system :-(

I guess I'll have to BOX the game and play it later.

(Binaries, please!) |
| May 1 15:43:00 | 19m 00s | Office Simulator 2014 | That was silly, but pretty nice :-) I loved the goofy walking animations.

There were some Z-sorting glitches with the sprites, but the game was solid. Thanks for the laugh! |
| May 1 16:02:00 | 19m 00s | Infinite Island | That is a very cool concept, I liked it! The controls were a bit "Sticky", which made it difficult to play, but if you can solve that, this would be a great game. Also some calming music would go nicely with this game.

Thanks for the game! |
| May 2 18:01:00 | 25h 59m | Amy's Rescue | The animations and intro scenes were really nice. I liked that the game started without music, and the music started when the shooting started, that was a nice idea.

But the controls were really poor - the jumping was not consistent, and many times it was hard to do even a simple jump. Also, the game was laggy for some reason.

Thanks for the game! |
| May 2 18:10:00 | 9m 00s | Super Underwear | That was neat - I liked how you did variations on the later levels. Unique use of the theme too.

One of the levels mentions an annoying music, but I didnt hear any sound playing... |
| May 3 02:59:00 | 8h 49m | Tick Attack | Congrats on your first game! Played the web version on my android phone - android version did not work. Some feedback:

- could not hear any sound.
- some sort of feedback when you splat a tick would be good - an animation or sound effect.

nice use of the theme! thanks for your game :) |
| May 3 03:14:00 | 15m 00s | Lilu's and Lula's Mountain Adventures | That is a pretty cool and novel mechanic! I enjoyed the game, even though it was hars. Took me a while to figure out you can fly in mid air. Some feedback:

- music would make this game 4 times better.
- Your game captures the back key on android - why? No reason to do that, and it is in bad form.
- Your game requires network permissions. No need for that either.

Thanks for the game! |
| May 3 03:33:00 | 19m 00s | Greys | Played this on an android phone. A few graphical glitches, but okay. Platforming controls were a bit glitchy, sometimes touches were not registered, and using two fingers vertically is kinda crowded. It was a bit hard to differentiate what was a platform from what was background sometimes. I really liked the way the scene got darker as you went down. I couldnt really get the "message" you wanted to tell.

congrats on finishing your first LD :) |
| May 3 03:42:00 | 9m 00s | Surface Battle | Really cool Graphics, specially the backgrounds. The life meter should be a bit more noticeable, I did not see it on m first play through. Also some feedback when you are hit would be nice. Thanks for the game! |
| May 3 03:56:00 | 14m 00s | Deep | The android download link did not work for me either, and I have third party apps allowed. Why is it a man file and not an APK file? Anyway, downloaded it from the play store. The game is really neat, simple but effective. I liked the backgroud noises. I think two or three lives before restarting would make the game more enjoyable. Had difficulty getting very far, but it was fun. |
| May 6 03:13:00 | 71h 17m | this is kevin | Hey Hbocao! Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I could not run your game under Wine.

Cheers! |
| May 6 03:28:00 | 15m 00s | Under the Paper | Thanks for not taking the "Another underground game" easy way out for this theme!

I liked this game a lot - it was simple to understand (although in the menu it is not obvious that "space" is the action key), and it was quite hard.

I like that you select levels from a batch to give it some randomness, but I think the levels repeated a bit too much: Maybe you should give levels a "cool down" after they are selected, so that they don't repeat so much?

I also loved the way the enemies moved.

Great game :-) |
| May 6 03:46:00 | 18m 00s | Rude Bear Revengeance | Could not play your game :-( There was some sort of problem with the zip file... Even tried to download it twice!

Archive: /home/caranha/Downloads/RudeBearRevengeance.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory |
| May 6 13:05:00 | 9h 19m | Hot Diggity | this game is awesome! :-) I loved it! Thanks for the linux build.

I really like the pressure, and the opportunities that building your own ship allows. I love that you have "structures" in your world.

Things I would like to see in this game: A high score value, and a marker for your lowest depth so far. |
| May 11 11:20:00 | 118h 15m | Tenkosei ROBO | That was pretty cool! The connection with the theme was a bit of an stretch, but I have a thing for word-typing games.

I think the robo-student should show some sort of damage as her life gets low.

Great graphics and music, Cheers! |
| May 11 11:26:00 | 6m 00s | Mole Empire | Could not run your game :-( Here is the error message:

~/Games/LD/LD29/MoleEmpire$ love mole_empire_0.1.0.love
[string "conf.lua"]:6: attempt to index field 'window' (a nil value)
Error: [string "main.lua"]:12: attempt to call field 'setDefaultFilter' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
[string "main.lua"]:12: in function 'load'
[string "boot.lua"]:310: in function <[string "boot.lua"]:308>
[C]: in function 'xpcall' |
| May 11 11:30:00 | 4m 00s | Drill Drop | Congratulations for finishing your game! The title screen says "beware of slime", but it didn't seem like anything happened.

The music was pretty cool, but the controls were a bit slippery.

Your game needs some more noises: I think drilling noises for breaking the stone would make the game much more exciting :-D |
| May 13 06:44:00 | 43h 14m | Super Surface Shape Shifter | Really fun, got up to level 10 and 200k points before giving up. The basic mechanics and the sounds are really solid.

I wish the game got a bit faster at higher levels, and vertical orientation might have been a better choice. Also, sometimes it felt that the touch hitbox for the enemies was smaller than I was expecting.

The flip animation when tapping an enemy was a nice touch. |
| May 13 06:58:00 | 14m 00s | Dolphin and Rainbows !?!?! | Fantastic, very cute game. I really liked how the AI smoothly got upgraded between levels.

It was a bit hard for me figuring out what colors were missing. |
| May 13 07:12:00 | 14m 00s | Tentacle Rails | Pretty novel idea. It needs some polish, for example when you lose a life you teleport with no feedback -- at first I thought the game had glitched. But definitely has potential. |
| May 13 07:23:00 | 11m 00s | Reggid | Nice, I had fun! The death sound, and all other sounds, were pretty nice. It would be nice to make the controls on mobile clearer. A few times I pressed down when I meant to press left or right.
Thanks for the game! |
| May 16 13:58:00 | 78h 35m | Skin Deep | Wow, someone inspired by Qix, just as myself :-) I liked the general idea, the controls and the music! One thing that I missed was an indicator of how many segments long your cut was -- without it, it was a bit hard to plan ahead where to turn to avoid getting stuck on inner edges. |
| May 16 14:14:00 | 16m 00s | Electric Sieve | Hey, Cool game! Long live python! ^^ I really liked the level of challenge in this game.

I found it a bit hard to notice at the beginning that it were the poles in the bottom that moved, and not the triangles. Maybe make them a bit more noticeable?

Also, the static sound is really annoying :-) it make it easier to lose once you lost once or twice.

It would be interesting to see the current score, so that you know the value of your streak. |
