| Apr 28 21:49:00 | Funzi Islands | A bit glitchy, but I feel like that made me like the game more. I felt very unprotected by the game designer from the inner ferocity of the game's power; I hit refresh a million times and the sound looped over itself into an infinite noisescape and then tentacles swarmed the island and I was like WOAH OH NO PLEASE HELP

Four stars. | |
| Apr 28 22:30:00 | 41m 00s | Beneath Wireframe | I like it! Does a lot using a little.

At first I didn't understand the shapes closing once you pass them, but once I figured that out the game totally clicked for me.

I'm curious as to how the game would play if the pixel followed your cursor perfectly. |
| Apr 28 22:42:00 | 12m 00s | Underbelly | Very nice! Art and music are wonderful, and I'm impressed by the two different quests. |
| Apr 28 23:13:00 | 31m 00s | BULLA | Hahaha this is so bizarre, I love it. Like something straight out of WarioWare. Finally squishing the monster is so satisfying. |
| Apr 28 23:19:00 | 6m 00s | Miner Problem | Love the visuals! Pixeley goodness! |
| Apr 28 23:55:00 | 36m 00s | Beyond the Surface | I like it-- very well put-together intro and tutorial sequence. I think the game might be a bit glitchy for a puzzley sort of game though; if you can get past that, you'd have something really special on your hands. |
| Apr 29 00:02:00 | 7m 00s | You Are a Mole! | Haha, not a whole lot to it, but it's well put-together for what it is thanks to nice touches like the seamless menu. |
| Apr 29 00:11:00 | 9m 00s | Fight The Infection | Hm, I actually liked it quite a bit. There were a few flawed design decisions-- movement speed is far too low, it doesn't really make sense to upgrade your fire power beyond the point where you can kill a virus in one shot, etc.-- but it's a pretty cool concept. Maybe add in a way to save infected cells too, so that it isn't an unwinnable game.

Oh, and the Pepsi Consultant line at the very beginning was an awesome touch. I laughed out loud at that, and that feeling carried through the whole experience. |
| Apr 29 00:19:00 | 8m 00s | SolidGround | A bit Candy Box-ish, but I liked it. It had a neat visual style integrated into the web page. Pretty interesting-- nice spin on the genre. |
| Apr 29 00:30:00 | 11m 00s | Trapped | Cool game-- could use a bit of stat balancing. For example, you totally nailed the initial running speed, so the player isn't going to want to make it even faster. And upgrading defense and vitality isn't too helpful, since the health regenerates pretty quickly anyway.

But yeah, a bit of polish to the gameplay and visuals/audio, and you could have something really great! |
| Apr 29 01:36:00 | 1h 06m | The Sea Has No Claim | Pretty fun! I love the visuals, but really wish there were some nice sound effects in there.

I had a lot of fun playing it, but I think it could be streamlined a bit by taking the player to the next level immediately after beating the previous one, and doing away with the resource allocation at the beginning entirely-- the fun part was doing the calculations to pinpoint where they were on screen, and it felt like I spent half my time playing not doing that!

So yeah, strip away some unnecessary stuff, and the game could be really really awesome. |
| Apr 29 01:48:00 | 12m 00s | Airport Security Screener | Great sound! |
| Apr 29 02:32:00 | 44m 00s | DRAANG | Woah |
| Apr 29 02:43:00 | 11m 00s | The Worlds Beneath | Played up to about halfway through the blue area, and I think I got the gist of it; I made a pretty similar game called Shapes of Gray. Basically, you're saying that visuals don't matter if the core isn't interesting? Or maybe I'm projecting my own game onto yours. Hmm. Anyway, cool game! |
| Apr 29 03:29:00 | 46m 00s | A Bank Heist on Christmas | Bahaha, I didn't play all the way through it, but I admire its cohesiveness despite its rough edges. Harmony is the most important thing! It's great for what it is. The sprites remind me of Earthbound. |
| Apr 29 06:01:00 | 2h 32m | Inside Look Activity Book | That was a really freaking cool concept. For a second I thought there might be some sort of secret confidential war document under there or something and the game was gonna take a huge twist... THAT would have blown my mind. But yeah, take this concept and make my dream game. I'll be waiting. |
| Apr 29 07:26:00 | 1h 25m | Beneath the Game Developer | Dang. |
| Apr 29 19:54:00 | 12h 28m | ScubaBear | Hey, I'd say you pretty well nailed what you set out to do, the music is wonderful, there's a ton of awesome artwork. Nice job. There isn't much to it-- it's pretty much just "scour the level for collectables"-- but for what it is, it's awesome.

There were a couple parts that were a bit unclear to me-- using the double jump ability comes to mind, as does finding the last button. And I never actually found the final collectable. Aside from that, I liked it.

You successfully made 2D Banjo Kazooie. |
| Apr 29 20:04:00 | 10m 00s | Yumbugs | This is goofy and colorful and great. I played about half the level and had my fill, but just seeing those little guys run around onscreen was fun for me. Nice job. |
| Apr 29 20:16:00 | 12m 00s | SUPER LANDSHARK MISSILE ATTACK! | I adore the lo-fi aesthetic. The gameplay needs a toooon of polish, but if you could pull it off this game could seriously be one of the most stylish games we've ever seen. Really awesome job on the art. |
| Apr 29 20:23:00 | 7m 00s | emilion | Really great game! I loved the art. I wasn't totally sure how to progress once I got to the snow area though-- I wanted to feed the bread to the bird.

I like the "once you go deep enough underground, weird things start to happen" take on the theme. I did something similar, haha. |
| Apr 29 20:30:00 | 7m 00s | Iron Rising | Really really cool aesthetic; somewhat hard to play. Overall, I liked it. |
| Apr 29 20:48:00 | 18m 00s | The Dead rest Beneath Us | I don't think you were intending for this game to be as funny as I found it, but it had me laughing my ass off. Any game is a sort of communication between the developer and the player, and the variables in this little exchange between us lined up just right. It being your first submission, me having a very grim sense of humor; the wires in our conversation got crossed in the absolute perfect way that lead me to really enjoy this game for all the wrong reasons.

I'm not making fun of the game by any means; I just have a very grim sense of humor. The train scene? Hilarious. Thank you for making this. |
| Apr 29 20:55:00 | 7m 00s | unllum | Oh wow, this had a really fantastic art style and introduction to its mechanics-- one of the only games that I'd give a 5/5 to in theme. It's a shame it ran so slow, because that made it kind of unplayable. But yeah, fix that, add in some nice sound, and you've got something really amazing. |
| Apr 29 23:19:00 | 2h 24m | Arctic Antics | Very cool concept! There's not much to it, but it was very fun to control. I think the past few 3D Mario games have proven that we need more ice-skating games. |
| Apr 29 23:23:00 | 4m 00s | Drowning in Problems | Very neat idea. It didn't resonate too much with me personally, but I can definitely appreciate it. Wasn't sure whether to give you a high score or a low score for Theme; opted to give you a high one because it was an interesting take on the theme. |
| Apr 29 23:26:00 | 3m 00s | Sneak-Easy | Very nice art! I dig the old-timey music too. Some wonky collision detection kind of got in the way of the gameplay though. |
| Apr 29 23:55:00 | 29m 00s | Treasure Orgy | That was definitely a squeaky little thing. I dig the randomly-pitched sound, that was smart. |
| Apr 29 23:58:00 | 3m 00s | Strung Out | Hey, you made a better game in 90 minutes than a lot of people made in 72 hours. Kudos for that. |
| Apr 30 00:53:00 | 55m 00s | Super Water RPG | Bahaha, clever. Made me laugh. |
| Apr 30 00:57:00 | 4m 00s | Necronomicon | Very well drawn! Audio wasn't too shabby either. You had two different sound effects for the sword, so you had the right idea, but you could have gone all out and had, like, EIGHT!

Weird collision detection though. |
| Apr 30 01:26:00 | 29m 00s | Hell Hole | Really fun, well put-together game! Great job on the art and sound, and it played well too! |
| Apr 30 04:13:00 | 2h 47m | The drill thrill | Cool game! Very well put-together. The graphics get the job done, and the tutorial is great. As it stands right now, the collision detection is a bit too precise. I know, too precise, right? But yeah, sometimes you've gotta cheat a bit in favor of the player to make them feel more awesome than they really are. Make it a bit easier to pick up coins, and you've got a really fun little game on your hands. |
| Apr 30 14:45:00 | 10h 32m | Ninja Escape | This is a cool concept! Very simple and elegant-- almost Flappy Bird-like, but without ripping the game off. Kudos to you for coming up with this.

The gameplay could use a bit of polish-- give the player a little bit of a chance to touch the wall a little bit. Constantly crashing into the wall feels bad. If you could get the timing down perfectly, this game could feel really really good! Interested to see you do more with this! |
| Apr 30 14:50:00 | 5m 00s | SUPER GOBLIN UNDERGROUND HOUSE EXPLODER 5000 | Cool concept! I dig the art too. With some polish, this could be a really cool arcade game. |
| Apr 30 14:58:00 | 8m 00s | How deep can you dive? | Press F5 to try again? Clever girl...

Cool concept! |
| Apr 30 15:08:00 | 10m 00s | Back To the Surface | I like the concept! And I actually liked the idea behind the art style too. The progression in the level architecture as you go higher up was cool, and the self-deprecating ending made me laugh and kind of made the whole thing worth it. For what the game was, I really enjoyed it. |
| Apr 30 15:12:00 | 4m 00s | Alien Cyclope Miner on Mars | I really like the art! Sound wasn't too shabby either. Cool little Minecrafty game. Recommendation: let the player use 'W' to jump in addition to Space, and give some other way to switch tools other than the scroll wheel (maybe the number keys) for those of us on laptops. :) |
| Apr 30 15:28:00 | 16m 00s | MORTON | Love the Banjo Kazooie sound. Love the Secret Tunnel. Love the frog (it's a frog). |
| Apr 30 18:54:00 | 3h 26m | Infinite Dig Dug | Simple game, cool style. |
| Apr 30 18:57:00 | 3m 00s | Reggid | Simple, but well put-together! Nice art. The digging sound effect in my headphones hurt my ears though. |
| Apr 30 18:59:00 | 2m 00s | Death's Lounge club | I didn't have much idea of what to do, but the game had a cool style! |
| Apr 30 19:01:00 | 2m 00s | Tell Me About Your Childhood As A Nervous Goldfish | Haha, "Tell Me About Your Ex." |
| Apr 30 19:08:00 | 7m 00s | Escaping Scofield Mine | Really great style! The slightly wonky pathfinding was annoying, but aside from that, great game! You did a lot with a little. |
| Apr 30 19:17:00 | 9m 00s | The Hole Thing | Really great game! Reminds me a bit of Risk of Rain. It was pretty hard-- maybe too hard-- but I could totally see myself having fun with this on a big screen in a dark room. Sort of like the dark levels in Spelunky. Yeah, tweak the gameplay a bit, and this could be pretty amazing! |
| Apr 30 20:50:00 | 1h 33m | Square Rooted | Great game! Wonderfully put together. Nice to see such a complete package. You did one thing and did it very well. |
| Apr 30 21:25:00 | 35m 00s | Moby-riDickulous | Bahaha, this game is a bit rough around the edges, but I love it for it. 8-bit Pirates of the Caribbean, the retro graphics... they fit together perfectly. You've also got an awesome mechanic with the reloading, and I love that the game has one goal: kill Moby riDickulous.

Unfortunately, losing money when you get hit makes it a bit impossible to afford the nuclear harpoon. Fix that and you've got an awesome, salty game on your hands. |
| Apr 30 21:30:00 | 5m 00s | The Thing Beneath the Surface | Interesting game! Looks like you got a good start but ran out of time there at the end. I really love the art style-- made me feel like I was on Tatooine. If you were to flesh the game out a bit more, I bet it would be really cool! |
| Apr 30 21:34:00 | 4m 00s | Sea's Bounty | Good on you for making your first Unity game! Nice start. Having the treasure weigh you down is a cool idea, and the 3D models look pretty good too. |
| May 1 00:10:00 | 2h 36m | Box Simulator | Box box box box? Box box box box! |
| May 1 01:53:00 | 1h 43m | Dr. Pepsi Marriage Consultant | Bahaha, oh Pepsi Consultant. Very funny game. Cool idea with the text document. |
| May 3 02:30:00 | 48h 37m | Get Beneath The Surface | Very interesting take on the matching blocks genre! Might want to nail down the movement speed and make it feel really really good, but aside from that, wonderful game! |
| May 3 02:33:00 | 3m 00s | Ghost Story | Really great-looing game! I struggled a little bit with the controls; I think the game might play better with a controller. One thing you could do to make it feel a little better is let the player press the up arrow to jump.

But really great game either way. Wonderful concept. |
