Apr 28 08:42:00 Beneath the GRID Very nice - you have the structure in place to generate lots more levels now. I found it hard to remember which direction both blocks were facing at first, but then I realised that that was part of the challenge. Good job and a nice use of WebGL!
Apr 28 08:49:00 7m 00s Behind The Surface Wow, this is a very similar concept to my game. :) I couldn't find all the amphora - good fun though. I would recommend adding some particles or other effects to make it seem more like you are underwater. Great entry - well done.
Apr 28 08:57:00 8m 00s In the Dark Things I liked: mood, physics, minimal art style. Orienting the viewpoint could get tricky when jumping on the blocks that send you into the air. Cool use of WebGL. Very nice, well done! :)
Apr 28 09:40:00 43m 00s SUPER LANDSHARK MISSILE ATTACK! This is a great entry. You could totally elaborate on this idea and have an indie hit on your hands. Love it. :)
Apr 28 09:53:00 13m 00s Stick Escape Reminds me of Vector, one of my favourite mobile games (check it out if you haven't seen it). Well done!
Apr 28 10:54:00 1h 01m Beneath The Memories Any game I finish is good in my book. Well done, Spencer! The narration really sets the mood beautifully. Who needs a score, timer, etc when the atmosphere of a game is so engaging. Congrats.
Apr 28 12:18:00 1h 24m hellcrossing Nicely composed music - fits the game really well. I found the length of the jump mirrored the length of the platforms a bit too closely. Very, very hard game! :) But very cool. How about pulsing some of the visuals in response to the music? Would be a nice effect.
Apr 28 12:22:00 4m 00s Deep Sea Salvage Really solid entry with lovely visuals. You have a real talent there. Interestingly, I joined Criterion around the time Sub Culture came out - and they then went on to release Deep Fighter. I didn't work on those games though - I was building RenderWare. And now my game is about salvaging in a submarine too! ;o)
Apr 28 12:32:00 10m 00s Max Manus You've found an intriguing visual style here and it's not something I recall seeing before, so congratulations on the originality. I think you could definitely make the gameplay more challenging. A great job though - well done!
Apr 28 12:47:00 15m 00s A Politics Now This is a really well-rounded entry. I didn't last very long though. The time it takes to get from one side of the screen to the other is quite high. I love the underlying message of the game. Well done - this is what LD is all about. :)
Apr 29 17:38:00 28h 51m Tunnel Defense This is awesome - just my kinda game. :) Superhard, but I'll have a go with the post-compo version. The sentries need to be a bit beefier. Well done!!
Apr 30 16:13:00 22h 35m Ben is the Surf Ace Great job for 5 hours! Cutesy art and a superb game name. I'm intrigued what the game would have been like if you'd used the full 48 hours. The mind boggles. :)
Apr 30 19:40:00 3h 27m Skin Deep Interesting concept. Reminds me of playing Painter when I was a kid on my BBC Micro. :) All I'd suggest is that the cutter could be sliiiightly faster, but other than that a really well executed puzzle game.
Apr 30 19:48:00 8m 00s Heart of the Earth The terrain is quite beautiful - graphically, you've done a great job here. I found I kept pressing SHIFT hoping that I would move faster. I think doubling the move speed would make the game much more playable. But other than that, congrats - well done. :)
Apr 30 19:52:00 4m 00s vers la lumiere I'm not sure why, but the frame rate was super-low on my laptop, and the move speed was maybe tied to the framerate? Anyway, I could jump, duck and dodge OK. Reminded me of the Star Wars Death Star Run game. :) Nice idea. Well done.
Apr 30 22:22:00 2h 30m Miner Great entry for a first go at Ludum Dare. Clean, good quality graphics. Requires so thorough forward thinking when playing too. Well done!!
Apr 30 22:34:00 12m 00s Grow Little Tree, Grow! Delightful. Well done. It wasn't clear to me if you just run roots by water and ammonium or whether you have to drag the mouse into them. Roots didn't draw over the top of those blocks so I assume it's the former. Great little game - very original. Well done!
May 1 07:42:00 9h 08m Bobs Incident Aiiiii! I'm really good at drowning in this game! Super hard but hard to resist trying again - very addictive. Nice cutesy graphics. A difficulty curve might help a bit but other than that, really great entry. Well done!!!
May 1 07:50:00 8m 00s Bloody Barry Difficulty ramps up quickly but that's OK. Gameplay was addictive and gets really frenetic. Well done, I reallly enjoyed it.
May 1 20:41:00 12h 51m Rubar Ooooo, me poor clicking finger! :) Just kidding, this was a fun, whimsical game. Well done!
May 8 00:12:00 147h 31m Damn Sharks Yay! Someone else who did a sub game! Your sub is very satisfying to control with nice particle trail. Missile are maybe a bit tricky to fire against the fast moving sharks but if you wait until the last moment to shoot, it's easier. Nicely done - I hope you continue with this project post-LD!
May 16 12:58:00 204h 46m They Launched a Probe! Awesome. Very original use of PlayCanvas.
May 17 13:15:00 24h 17m Beeneath The Surface This game is the bee's knees, honey!
