| Dec 15 07:06:00 | You Only Get One Ludum Dare 28 | perhaps not all that fun, but it has a good message. | |
| Dec 16 03:07:00 | 20h 01m | Acorn Hunter 5000 | I love the interesting wist on packman, and the sad forest was hilarious, but poor use of the theme. |
| Dec 16 04:06:00 | 59m 00s | Escape from planet YOGOAAT | The concept was cool and the foreground/background movement was visually impressive, but the lack of levels is what really killed it. |
| Dec 16 04:20:00 | 14m 00s | Me And My Arrow | I like the concept. The mix of FPS and puzzle solving was fun. Going back to get the arrow was tedious, but it added insensitive not to miss and not fire filly nilly(although sometimes you could not get the arrow back not matter what). Also, several graphical aspects looked rushed (unaligned textures, clipping blocks, ect). |
| Dec 16 04:22:00 | 2m 00s | Last Minute Christmas Chopping | Game was grate (as always). Interesting concept too. Only problem is it is way to hard. |
| Dec 16 04:29:00 | 7m 00s | Assembly Man | Concept was cool and gen assembling animation was great. Only problem is that I could not figure out how to fire more than once |
| Dec 16 04:33:00 | 4m 00s | Wraith | I did not want to sleep anyway. |
| Dec 16 04:38:00 | 5m 00s | Light Away | Nice Concept. Took me a while to figure it out, but once I did it was fun. It was a little short though. |
| Dec 16 04:43:00 | 5m 00s | My First Day at the Snowman Kit Factory! | Interesting concept, but very monotonous. |
| Dec 16 04:46:00 | 3m 00s | Objectless | Interesting concept and art style, but a bit short and the controls were very slidy |
| Dec 16 04:54:00 | 8m 00s | Fort Meow | Hilarious and amazing concept. Who doesn't fucking love pillow forts? Only problem I see is that it is a bit easy. Does it get any harder later on? |
| Dec 16 05:00:00 | 6m 00s | Touch | Fucking. Brilliant.

(But seriously, loved that slow zoom out and twist ending) |
| Dec 16 21:40:00 | 16h 40m | Redemption | The platforming was very good, but the implementation of the theme only hindered the game and there was a way to skip the first two layers by going to the third platform and holding left. |
| Dec 16 22:07:00 | 27m 00s | Chest is the key | The concept was cool, but the lack of additional levels and a clear goal caused the game to get quite repetitive. |
| Dec 16 22:26:00 | 19m 00s | Star Chase | The art style was amazing! I could definitely see this being a full game. Unfortunately, the use of theme caused this game to be way to short. |
| Dec 16 22:50:00 | 24m 00s | Super Rashomon RPG | Superb visuals and excellent game design. this game could have easily gone down the generic path but it did not. It reminds me of Zelda in a way. Only problem is that the music cuts out at times (when you die and respawn, when you go underground). This game is also the longest here I've played so far. You could probably get several hours out of this. I did not even finish the first perspective! |
| Dec 16 22:57:00 | 7m 00s | knife, Gun, Rose, Watch | The game lacked explanation and the visuals could have used some work, but it was kind of fun to try to figure everything out. |
| Dec 16 23:09:00 | 12m 00s | Only One Life Each | The concept was interesting, but the difficult was unfair. You would often times lose half your health on an enemy you had no way of knowing would be there. Having to start over from the beginning each time did not help. Also you forgot to make the enemies' line of sight invisible. |
| Dec 16 23:18:00 | 9m 00s | ROOFTOP | The art style was cool, the platforming was solid, and the cat fighting system was interesting, but the game was WAY too short. Also the background music was very repetitive. |
| Dec 16 23:40:00 | 22m 00s | Fragile Soul | Fantastic idea. The instant deaths were a little frustrating at first, but eventually I figured it out. Perhaps the loot and player health systems could have used some tweaking, but the game was great overall. Also, the full-screen option did not seem to work, which is a shame. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong. I clicked the little box, but nothing happened. Anyway, I'd love to see this game expanded upon. |
| Dec 16 23:52:00 | 12m 00s | Braid 2 | Is it sad that I legitimately enjoyed this? |
| Dec 17 00:03:00 | 11m 00s | She: A Game About Life | Fantastic presentation and story telling. Loved the message at the end.Just wish it was a bit longer. Perhaps you could expand on the concept. |
| Dec 17 00:13:00 | 10m 00s | $1 Hero | I liked the gameboy aesthetic, but the game went way too slow at the beginning, which was a problem since that's where you went back to whenever you died. |
| Dec 17 00:21:00 | 8m 00s | TekkuNikku | This game was super fun and impressive for the time limit, but the controls for combat with mouse/keyboard were not listed so it took me longer than it should have to figure out how to play. A "Controls" option on the menu would have sufficed. |
| Dec 17 00:49:00 | 28m 00s | Super Botboy Puzzle FPS | The concept was great and so was the humor, but the game clearly lacked polish. There were a lot of clipping problems and the robots did not seem to do anything (they shot but the shots did not effect the player). My run ended when the cube clipped through the floor and I was unable to retrieve it. |
| Dec 22 20:51:00 | 140h 02m | Boomerang Battle | Interesting concept. It was fun and silly having to chase around your boomerang, but it was too easy for the boomerang to get stuck somewhere you cannot reach. |
| Dec 22 23:02:00 | 2h 11m | The Lone Tower | Initiative spin on a tired genre, but very difficult. One thing to note it that I did not even notice the HUD at first as it did not stand out very well and was rather small. |
| Dec 23 00:05:00 | 1h 03m | GASP | Interesting idea, but in the end it all just came down to press the button fast enough and walk down this corridor. Good effort, but there needs to be more game play and less button mashing. |
| Dec 23 00:23:00 | 18m 00s | Rocks-n-Blaster | Nice little game. Figuring out where you needed to put the bomb was very fun. It started out quite simple but eventually got more difficult. My only major complaint is that the character moved rather quickly, making it extremely difficult to fit into one block wide hallways, of which there were several. This flaw was only magnified by the quick moving enemies. Segments with enemies become less about timing and more about whether or not you'll actually be able to fit into the doorway. Other than that, this was a very solid entry and one you should be proud of. |
| Dec 23 05:48:00 | 5h 25m | Dungeon Raider | The game was very visually impressive, although the sword swinging animation was very weak. The lighting was also very good. I especially like how the light would sine through corners, revealing loot and intriguing you into finding out how to get into that room. I found it odd that using a scroll used up both the scroll and manna. You would think that only tomes would drain your manna, since your scrolls are enough of a limit to prevent you from spamming spells. Also, I was rather disappointing that the gold only counted for score and not some sort of in game currency. It would have also been interesting to see more variety in the swords and armor and not just one being objectively better than the other. I preferred that way that the necklaces and rings work where you would have to decide whether manna, health, or gold were more important to you (But, then again, the gold didn't really do anything, so why bother). Also, one more thing that I noticed is that if you put on the necklace of wisdom and take it back off, you retain the manna, causing the meter to visually overflow. But, all in all, this was a very well put together and impressive game for the time constraints. |
| Dec 23 06:15:00 | 27m 00s | Hero of Tower | I really liked it. The animations were fluid and the controls were tight. I really liked the art style. It sort of reminds me of "Out of This World." The only problem graphically was that some of the enemies blended into the background (namely the helicopter robots). It was a bit difficult to figure out the moves, but eventually I got them down. The ledge climbing and back flips made the platforming in this game very smooth. It is also worth mentioning that this game is VERY difficult, although as I played more, some of the difficulty began to go away. All in all, I'd say that this is a very solid entry. I'm glad to hear that you want to expand upon it, because I think that this game has some potential. |
| Dec 23 19:46:00 | 13h 31m | The Chipper | The concept was good. This is the only LD28 game I have played so far where the "you only get one shot" mechanic has actually worked in the game's favor. That being said, the game was a bit glitchy (robots still looking electrified after 10 seconds, robots that would not follow you, etc.) Also, the game became too difficult after you die because all of the robots would pile up where you died. This problem could have been avoided by having all of the robots return to their starting positions when you die. All in all, this is a very good entry, but some problems make it frustrating. |
| Dec 23 21:43:00 | 1h 57m | One Coffin | This game is visually stunning, especially during the combat. I found the combat to be tricky and unforgiving at first, especially with some of the longer sequences, but eventually I got used to it and it became smooth and fluid. I found it entertaining having to sift through the dismembered body parts, trying to find the one that you think might match what you saw earlier. It was a bit disturbing and therefore added to the mood of the game quite a lot. One minor complaint is that the two audio tracks were out of sync, so sometimes one would cut out while the other continued to play. Also, trying to change direction mid elevator ride would just cause the elevator to stop and releasing body parts while in the elevator would cause them to get stuck in the wall, but these are both only minor complaints. I also really like the concept. At first I did not get how you used the theme, but, after reading your explanation, I get how you integrated it in. All in all, this game is a very well put together and polished game, especially when considering the time limit, with perhaps some minor bugs here and there. |
| Dec 24 17:05:00 | 19h 22m | Find the one 1 | It would have been nice to see more mechanics. Perhaps there were some later on in the game, but I q |
| Dec 24 19:41:00 | 2h 36m | Out | Lol! My name is also Eli and my game is also called out XD ! I had to take a double take when I saw this game. |
