Aug 26 07:58:00 Host Awesome game. Nice use of the theme. Challenges ram up nicely. Ending was great.
Aug 26 08:18:00 20m 00s Too Many Anomalies Great soundtrack. It works on the web just fine for me. Interesting gameplay mechanics. Definitely confused me at first. Cool concept.
Aug 26 23:07:00 14h 49m Time Rolls On Fun idea. Leaving it open whether someone else reloaded the page is great. SPOILER AHEAD!!!!! I got rolled.......
Aug 27 04:55:00 5h 48m 10 Second Tofu Fun, well polished game. The art style is consistently solid throughout. Puzzles were challenging and stayed true to the theme. The later added elements added a nice complexity. Only issue I had with the title was that some pop-up messages, near the edge of the play area, were cut off or outside the screen. Besides that, awesome job.
Aug 28 05:25:00 24h 30m Clockwork Cat That was awesome. Great gameplay. Very unique take on the theme. Pixelated yet very cute graphics. I especially like the always present clock tower in the background. The puzzles were well thought out. The music definitely adds to the experience. That song is so good for being so minimal. And that ending was perfect. It feels almost like a dream. I think your game is my favorite LD game! Cheers!
Aug 28 05:41:00 16m 00s Thorvald Very fun game. Makes use of the theme pretty well, being tied to the duration of holding a tool. The duration was a tad short but it was all really polished for the time you guys had on making the game. One thing that I have to point out: I LOVE THE MUSIC. Absolutely top notch. Please make moar!
Aug 29 04:07:00 22h 26m Nut Commander : Squirrels In Fear Very chaotic! A lot of things happening on the screen at once kind of makes it difficult to follow at times but there's a certain fun factor in the mayhem that follows lining up your attacks and seeing everything go flying. I would definitely think about highlighting or emphasizing what the player should be paying attention to somehow. And a heads up, I think I managed to kill/knock my squirrel out of the level on my second try! Threw me off for a bit haha. Regardless, I like it a lot. And high scores? Pssssh that's what these comments are for! Anyone top my 16281??
Aug 29 04:21:00 14m 00s Continuing running That last level! Took me awhile to figure out I had to gain more momentum by backtracking. Too bad you didn't get some slick animations done for the runner. Good use of the theme and varied level layouts. Kinda reminds me of a trim mirror's edge.
Aug 29 04:57:00 36m 00s Zero Gravity Free Runner release :D Awesome twitch reflex gameplay but that last level is a killer. Still haven't gotten passed it. Controls took me awhile to get used to but they grew on me. I think the difficulty works for it and the fast restarts are very helpful.
Aug 29 05:34:00 37m 00s Adventures of Schrodinger's cat The controls felt a little too loose for me. Making them tighter would have made the game more enjoyable imo. Otherwise, great art and sound design! Very cute characters. And solid gameplay mechanics. Walls and chainsaw blades can't phase schrodinger's cat!
Aug 29 05:48:00 14m 00s Ten Seconds To Space The sound design is awesome on this game. From the small things like the keyboard strokes when you hit an insect to that great main menu theme, it's very solid all around. The game itself is pretty difficult after the first few seconds. I think removing the random spawning right next to the player would help ease the difficulty. Otherwise, very impressive what was accomplished in only a few hours!
Aug 29 05:56:00 8m 00s Apotheosis 23.9 seconds! Very novel combination for Mario and braid. Kind of chaotic but still fun. Using a mouse was kind of difficult. Not sure whether using only a keyboard would have been easier. Minor issue I had was that the main character kept wanting to slide right. Besides that, great game, given your limited schedule!
Aug 29 06:23:00 27m 00s Escape From Homeshank The audio and art in this game are really good. The hamster/canary duo are well designed. The only thing that bugged me were the controls. They seemed too slippery when flying and touching objects in flight. Otherwise very polished game! Good job guys!
Aug 29 06:36:00 13m 00s The Last Memory Unfortunately I couldn't get the sound to work on the web version but great use of the theme. Even though the game was short, you quickly sympathized for the main character and his situation. I think it's a theme anyone can relate to. The gameplay was simple and everything was polished. I did find jumping on puddles as something sad as it really did feel like an old memory. Very nice short story.
Aug 29 06:48:00 12m 00s Nerv Like others have said, the main character could use a speed boost. Kind of frustrating to have one of the enemies slowly catch up to him. The world itself looks great but I kind of wish there was more detail. It's not too big of a concern because I know time is a luxury for these types of things. Dialogue was hit or miss but if it was just trimmed down and proofread, I'm sure I'd enjoy it a lot more. Good job overall though.
Aug 29 06:58:00 10m 00s // Quantum Breach // So I think this is a pretty unique and interesting idea for a game. I like the concept of having two people helping the other out to progress through a game.

The problem I had was that I played alone and I think that's probably going to be the case for the majority of your players. I think an option to turn off the 10 second switch would be much appreciated (say if the user selects a 1 player mode on the main menu). Even thought this would destroy your game's use of the theme, my brain would thank you and stop freaking out every switch! As it stands, right when I'm comfortable with the layout (which is a lot of controls for 1 person), it gets switched and I can't keep up with it. I'm sure it's more reasonable with 2P but that has been my experience so far.
Aug 29 07:01:00 3m 00s Kickbox Cool concept for a multiplayer game. Plays nicely with the theme. For some reason, I think your block crowds are awesome. Good job!
Aug 29 07:11:00 10m 00s Save The Children Well I've found the most depressing game I'll play today. I do like that the game manages to take a stance on a topic and stays true to a message. 'Good' art and interesting gameplay. Wish there was more to the gameplay than timing your food hand outs. Regardless, solid submission.
Aug 29 07:49:00 38m 00s Time Surge Haha this game is great. I'm loving the atmosphere and exploring the ship's cast of characters. The detail in the logs is awesome. Music was top notch and all the art was extremely polished. This is one of my favorite LD games! Thanks for the experience! My favorite bit: Hugging robot just wants something to hug..

My only nitpicking grip is that the puzzles were kind of hit and miss. As I tried different combinations for some of the puzzles when my first guess didn't work, I had to watch the janitor run slow (walk fast?) through the rooms multiple times. If anything, I would say to speed up his travels up after the initial try.

Very well done guys! Keep up the awesome games!
Aug 29 07:53:00 4m 00s 10 I love the fact that prior to getting into the game, there is absolutely no guidance on what the player is to do. Then when he's in the room, a single jump triggers the ten seconds of chaos. Simple and fun. Good stuff!
Aug 29 08:03:00 10m 00s Time Perception Very cool use of the theme. Having to guess 10 seconds by itself wouldn't be much but by adding in the little vignettes really sells your game. The ending was a nice touch and a director's cut is always nice. Your game reminds actually me of one of these, picture within a picture (within a picture, etc) things:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoL7wRgBugM
Aug 30 03:32:00 19h 29m Temple Pretty difficult jumping puzzles and excessive screen shaking like others have stated but great visual style similar to snes Zelda. The second half of the game felt like Indiana Jones escaping a collapsing temple. Good stuff. Would like to see this expanded to a fuller temple!
Aug 30 03:37:00 5m 00s Action Movie: The Game Great sound effects and good use of the theme. Fun to slowly figure out the 'correct' action sequence to escape.
Aug 30 03:58:00 21m 00s TickTock Fun game, if a bit difficult. The difficulty was kind of scattered when I played. It jumped from very easy and straightforward portions to very precise jumping portions. I think this would have been made easier if the controls were a little tighter. I ended up giving up on what seemed like an impossible jump onto a ledge after going down a set of stairs. Besides this, I loved the large gears in the background always turning and Tock is an great main character idea.
Aug 30 04:09:00 11m 00s 10s before the blackout Like others have said, the display mode kind of cut off portions of the game unless you select a specific one. Your game has nice graphics and lighting but I felt the main character's movement seemed off. My character would take off when touching some boxes while he would get stuff in others. I guess this is all stuff you could have easily handled with more time. Good submission overall. Congrats on your first completed LD! This was mine first time as well!
Aug 30 04:24:00 15m 00s The Lodge Cool submission. The game kinda freaked out when I entered just 'me' and 'move' with no destination. I guess my gripe with this game would be that it's too hard to figure out what I can and cannot do with the world. The majority of the combinations I tried turned over no results and so it turned into a guessing game. Then again I never play text adventures so ignore me if there are more understood rules at play here. Too bad because I wanted to explore this world.
Aug 30 04:33:00 9m 00s :Fast :Food! Awesome overall. Great flute(?) background music and fantastic voiceovers especially the vampire dying groans haha Works well. Good entry!
Aug 30 04:38:00 5m 00s Gauntlet: A Series of Ten Second Strategies Great graphics and pretty original gameplay. Actually moving the main character around was pretty difficult. It just needs further developed. A restart option would have helped as well.
Aug 30 04:52:00 14m 00s Hourglass Great use of the theme and excellent audio design. Having the pickups be different tones really adds a lot to the experience. The controls felt right for movement. Good game guys!
Aug 30 05:01:00 9m 00s #hindsight Cool art, solid theme use and good concept. Was only able to get the death and slavery endings. I couldn't get the reactor to stabilize unfortunately. I wanted to abandon ship in the pod but it wouldn't let me :D
Aug 30 05:07:00 6m 00s Sphere of Destiny Great graphics and the concept really has potential. Would like to get my hands on a more fully implemented game!
Aug 30 05:14:00 7m 00s Unseen Ow my heart still hurts from jumping the first time I messed up. Very atmospheric thanks to great visuals and even better audio design. Gameplay is simple but the overall package really makes this game stand out.
Aug 30 05:24:00 10m 00s To War! Cool idea but I wish it had some type of simple AI to fight against as playing by myself isn't ideal haha Solid game in every other regard though. Good job guys!
Aug 30 05:34:00 10m 00s Anhedonia in Memoriam I love the music in this game. Understated and it compliments the mood nicely. Large exploration area, fun/challenging gameplay and the story made me root for the sad robot. Very unique experience. Very well put together! Cheers.
Aug 30 05:58:00 24m 00s In Just a Moment Seems like this is small vignettes into someone's life? I like it. Lets the user decide what they saw/experienced. My interpretation? Story follows someone meeting their soul mate. Life happens and you accidentally crash into another couple, killing one of them. Your partner survives but eventually the surviving member in the other car seeks revenge and shoots the center of your life. Your world literally falls out beneath your feet.

Interestingly, the game doesn't give you a choice whether or not to interact with the next potential partner (it won't proceed unless you get rejected) which then gives the player the option to walk by the last potential partner. Whatever your choice directly affects your last scene walking in a less crowded area.

As for ending abruptly? This game packs in someone's entire life within a few seconds and gives you a statisfying ending if you look for it. Check out my submission for an abrupt ending lol

Great simple visuals that get the job done, nice piano track make for a very compelling game. This story is great. Bravo guys.
Aug 31 06:09:00 24h 11m Mr Moore's Last Seconds Like others have said, the dove platforming was not as intuitive as the rest of the game was but this is nitpicking. This game is awesome. Great story, great audio and great art. The complete package. And Moore's final act? Pitch perfect. Very high quality production. Please continue the great work. Looking forward to more from you guys!
Aug 31 06:21:00 12m 00s Launch_0xa For being entirely text based, this game has a lot of personality. Simple word puzzles were pretty fun. Gameplay was actually kind of stressful thanks to that timer! Ending made me laugh lol
Aug 31 22:09:00 15h 48m Solitude Wow you weren't kidding. Even the controls are the same as my game! Anyways, your game is awesome. The lighting looks nice and plays well with the flashlight dynamic. Very good use of the theme. Great minimal story that slowly unfolds. It definitely left me wanting more! Nice intro as well. I had issues with some of the jumping platforms but they were minor.
Sep 1 05:44:00 7h 35m Train Robbery Art and audio are top notch! The 10 second plan and action phases work pretty well. I'm not too sure about the actual plan phase though. It seems a little clunky to me but it was still fun! Nice work!
Sep 1 05:49:00 5m 00s 10 Reactions Wow. That's a pretty solid game for only 8 hours of work! Simple and fun gameplay. The avoids always threw me off and for some reason I couldn't consistently get the swipe to work. Regardless, cool submission!
Sep 5 02:19:00 92h 30m Routine decisions (in 10 seconds) Neat art style and unique gameplay! Loved some of the bizarre thoughts and action choices. I did have a little trouble trying to read all the choices in 10 seconds. And fyi, you're zip doesn't seem to work.
Sep 5 02:27:00 8m 00s Potato Lagoon The music and overall audio in this game is fantastic! Just the main menu music on loop is enough to win me over on this! Great job!
Sep 5 02:42:00 15m 00s SUPER NUKE ROMAN EMPIRE Great mood and interesting moral choices. Not sure if it was by design but the consequences of most of my actions were not evident on my first play through when I made the choice. Kind of have to play to the end to see the results, then play again, now having a better idea of what causes what.
Sep 5 02:49:00 7m 00s Royal Decree Lol I love the 28 days later joke. Very delightful game. Simple and fun! I got lucky with my first try - 9.8!
Sep 5 02:57:00 8m 00s 10 Seconds Gunner Good use of the theme. The various background music sounded awesome and fitted whatever weapon was currently active! The art style was well done and everything seemed polished. Nice job!
Sep 5 03:31:00 34m 00s Super Box Boy Flies Fun little game! Art style is cute and the various layers of the atmosphere is a nice touch. My only issue is that mashing on the mouse kinda gets tiring.
Sep 5 03:42:00 11m 00s Beth & Maggie Great use of audio and props for having a fully narrated game! I would say the only thing I would do differently would be to not replay the same narration bit after dying. On the later levels, I basically memorized your script lol
Sep 5 03:50:00 8m 00s Team Seconds Lol the simple story adds a lot of character to this game. It has a nice old school arcade style to it. Reminds me partly of lemmings. Nice job!
Sep 5 04:03:00 13m 00s Aliens on a Schoolday?! Great title! Art style worked great for this game. Reminded me of Canabalt's style. I thought the game was pretty easy and I flew through it.....only to unlock the UP mode. Not quite as easy! Well thought-out rewards adds a lot to this package. Also, your level design is superb and all the little details are great (like the moles hiding right before the lasers fire)! This is one of the top games I've played for this comp.
Sep 5 04:11:00 8m 00s Firefly Great graphics and nice simple story! The transition between night and morning is beautiful and I like how the ground changes as well. The collision is irregular and the platforming is floaty but all's forgiven with how nice everything looks! Nice job!
Sep 5 04:14:00 3m 00s Save the forest! Haha the game's comedy is great! Great aftermath/game over screen and I thought the music fit the visuals really well!
Sep 5 04:22:00 8m 00s Macro Wow great puzzles! Very well thought out gameplay and great level design! The platforming and movement felt "right." Good visuals and an awesome soundtrack make a complete package! Great game guys!
Sep 5 04:33:00 11m 00s Back to you Great story and visuals and the gameplay is simply fun. This game has a lot of personality! My only complaint would be that I couldn't tell when I successfully jumped/dodged an obstacle and this caused a little frustration during an otherwise awesome game.
Sep 5 04:58:00 25m 00s Time Frame Very expansive game. This game has a very unique, dreamlike quality, aided by great visuals, an awesome soundtrack, and a lack of any directions or story hints.

I would think about either compressing the landscape or making traversal quicker as I completely missed the city on my first playthrough until I read some of the comments.
Sep 5 05:32:00 34m 00s The Stuffuv Very moody and I tensed up every time you have to switch matches. The expectation of something bad happening worsened the farther you got into the game! I only wish there were more levels!
Sep 5 05:39:00 7m 00s North Exit Audio is done really well and pulls you right into the game world. Scared me way too easily! Awesome game!
Sep 5 05:51:00 12m 00s Short Nightmares Great visual style and audio design. It felt almost like stumbling in the dark in a haunted house. I spent way too much time on the third night. I guess some more audio/visual clues would be helpful as I got pretty disoriented multiple times (or at least as disoriented as someone can get within 10 seconds!). Great submission!
