| Aug 26 16:28:00 | Evolution VS 1000 kittens | Best LD game so far. At first the controls were confusing. Awesome that you managed to get a "tech tree" included, I kept playing longer than I intended just to see the effects of the different upgrades. | |
| Aug 26 16:31:00 | 3m 00s | Just a Theory | Getting an error on the dropbox OSX download link. |
| Aug 26 16:44:00 | 13m 00s | Terra Tam: The World Warrior | Fantastic artwork and story. |
| Aug 26 17:00:00 | 16m 00s | Adlus: Mouse Of Truth | Amazing you could do this in the limited time available. Good balance between art quality and quantity. Lots of things to see and explore. |
| Aug 27 05:34:00 | 12h 34m | Evolution | Great peaceful mood in the game, there is something relaxing about the sequence and notes that are played when you complete a polygon. However in gameplay it doesn't really feel like you are improving when you get more vertices to use, as that just makes capturing enemies slower. Still, kept playing this a bit because it was soothing. |
| Aug 27 05:36:00 | 2m 00s | re:generation | Good playability with snappy controls and movement. Played a few rounds, but felt that there was some sense of progress lacking to keep me playing. |
| Aug 27 05:37:00 | 1m 00s | Deal with It | Funny intro, but I couldn't proceed in the actual game basically at all, kept dying on the third jump so just gave up. |
| Aug 27 05:39:00 | 2m 00s | Attack of the killer cute things! | Pretty character graphics, but didn't feel hooked to the game. Might just copy that art style though! |
| Aug 27 05:40:00 | 1m 00s | Ballvolution | Liked the idea that you can spend your size to move faster. |
| Aug 27 05:43:00 | 3m 00s | Squid-wyn Happily Cleans Up Creationist Propaganda | Moving around in 3D looks good, especially how when you touch the ground your "legs" bend with the collision. Couldn't figure out the controls though. Also had the same problem I have with many Unity games, which is that the whole game wil just stop for ~0.5 seconds every now and then, making playing impossible. |
| Aug 27 05:52:00 | 9m 00s | Harvest Doom | Couldn't quite figure out how to play this. I kept collecting bags and placing their contents in front of the zombies, but nothing seemed to happen. Still this seemed like a promising game. |
| Aug 27 06:21:00 | 29m 00s | Slime Groove | Encountered some bugs such as http://imgur.com/jO4b3 and the character entering through wrong door (had two doors side by side, tried to open and enter the left one but instead the right one opened).

Nice art style, loving these big pixels. Does the main character have pants? Well, looking for the creatures doesn't really feel that much fun though, after killing a few I felt I was done with the game as nothing new was really happening. |
| Aug 27 06:28:00 | 7m 00s | Evolution Defense | Overall this is a fun game (I've tried about 20 games so far and this would be in the top 5) with a nice atmosphere. Would be vastly improved though by optimizing it a bit, I felt there was delay between clicking the mouse and stuff really happening. |
| Aug 27 07:10:00 | 42m 00s | Die, Motherfuckers! | Couldn't figure out how to do anything in the game except pop up a buy menu by pressing space? |
| Aug 27 07:15:00 | 5m 00s | Old Man Johnson's Lonely Explosion | Great art and music. |
| Aug 27 07:19:00 | 4m 00s | DARWIN MUST DIE! | Trying to do headshots is always fun. Was surprised that you can even shoot yourself. Doing a kind of old cityscape by just having different muddy colored rectangles works surprisingly well. |
| Aug 27 07:22:00 | 3m 00s | DrumBeat Evolution!!!! | Rather than a game, this might be useful if you had some way to export the music you created and include it in your own games similar to http://www.bfxr.net |
| Aug 27 07:28:00 | 6m 00s | Evo Face | Great art style. Color choice, fat clean lines and the shiny spots really work well together. The shadows and background gradient also looks look. In the beginning there was speech, I was wondering if that was some speech synth or someone's actual voice that was edited? But the gameplay itself I wasn't too happy about, either it's not quite complete or I just couldn't figure out how to play. |
| Aug 27 07:40:00 | 12m 00s | Evolution Stew | Kept me glued to it for a while, but finding working combos was hard enough that eventually gave up. Could only find cat + food seems to make a bigger cat or a dog. Tried combos like game developer + pizza that I expected to do something, but no luck. Flying around in the jetpack was fun and blasting away with the jackhammer. Great minimalistic graphics style. Beer totally looks like a birthday cake though! :) |
| Aug 27 07:46:00 | 6m 00s | LimiT | Hands down best graphics! Good sense of progress and goal while playing, kept me engaged until the end, which turned out to be a satisfying Space Odyssey 2001 -inspired (?) piece of art. Real game with a beginning and and, easy to figure out how to play. |
| Aug 27 07:52:00 | 6m 00s | Microraptor | For some reason can't run this, even though other unity games work. Just claims I have no unity plugin. |
| Aug 27 08:06:00 | 14m 00s | Crystalbots - Moon Defense | Really enjoyed playing. It took a while to realize that you can scroll. Also when it said "sorry you lost", I could never figure out WHY I lost. I did notice there were both cyan and green things you could place, perhaps we are supposed to protect the green ones? |
| Aug 27 08:17:00 | 11m 00s | Cellception | Getting about 2fps on 2.4GHz 4GB macbook pro, so couldn't play. |
| Aug 27 08:24:00 | 7m 00s | Evo Dash | Nice feeling of action when you always have to keep moving. The idea to use circles as the walkable area was unique and seems to work well. |
| Aug 27 08:29:00 | 5m 00s | Bit-Craft Evolution | It was fun to blast, although now my wrist feels like it's about to cramp from all that clicking. |
| Aug 27 08:33:00 | 4m 00s | LEVOLUTION! | The way of introducing new levels was clever. Gave up at the level where you had to bounce up higher and higher. Very good platformer jump controls and great framerate. |
| Aug 27 08:38:00 | 5m 00s | PEB 2012 | This does have something to do with evolution, but not survival of the fittest but rather "pro evolution soccer". Works well, is playable and is a finished game with nice audio. |
| Aug 27 10:16:00 | 1h 38m | Boxy the Boxcat in Evolution Escapades | Really well made, great explosion effects too. And I must hug every cat so this game rules for that reason alone. |
| Aug 27 10:30:00 | 14m 00s | ROLL PAPER, ROLL!! | Web entry is 404. |
| Aug 27 10:45:00 | 15m 00s | Myxolous | Couldn't figure out what to do, gave up after trying to click on everything. |
| Aug 27 10:52:00 | 7m 00s | Cube Miner: The Evolution of the Cubindustry | After spending all my money hiring miners, there didn't seem to be much to do and the next upgrades cost so much. |
| Aug 27 11:08:00 | 16m 00s | Sorry, i was late! | Wow, it comes with minigames! |
| Aug 27 11:12:00 | 4m 00s | Get Your Cell Together | Nicely polished game with a game mechanic which probably exists out there but hasn't been used much, good work. |
| Aug 27 11:14:00 | 2m 00s | Adversity | Couldn't run and don't know how to fix this error. ld24.rb:1:in `require': no such file to load -- require_all (LoadError)
from ld24.rb:1 |
| Aug 27 11:17:00 | 3m 00s | Ducks | The duck is cute. |
| Aug 27 11:24:00 | 7m 00s | Super Robocade | A nice version of a classic game with a great minimalistic art style, suitable sounds and the characters have cute animations too. Took a while to realize I had a gun! |
| Aug 27 11:28:00 | 4m 00s | Dracolution | Had more fun playing this than I thought I would from seeing the graphics and the tiny window. The idea to use mouse for controlling both the movement and the firing direction was interesting, as usually in this type of game arrows are used for movement. In a way it's actually 3D game as the projectiles have height! |
| Aug 27 11:33:00 | 5m 00s | Dusty Balls | Not my favorite type of puzzle, but great art and a lot of content especially considering the time limit. |
| Aug 27 18:10:00 | 6h 37m | Slimevolution | Nice progression of enemies, beautiful graphics, smooth framerate and feels very polished and playtested overall. |
| Aug 27 18:15:00 | 5m 00s | IO VUOLE ZEN | I suspect this game was directed by M. Night Shyamalan |
| Aug 28 18:52:00 | 24h 37m | Yellow Dog | Little computer people is back in the form of a dog. |
| Aug 28 19:44:00 | 52m 00s | Dinosaur Survival Bash!! | Cursor position affecting the camera and the player turning to face the cursor were nice touches. |
| Aug 28 19:51:00 | 7m 00s | Space Ham | I like the fast pace of movement. Controlling the tongue angle with arrow keys felt new to me, so innovation points from that. Suitable graphics (bonus points for parallax stuff in background). Minimalistic audio, but pleasing. I love how the character looks happy after getting some ham. |
| Aug 28 19:54:00 | 3m 00s | Survival of the Leggiest | Was too difficult to figure out what exactly I was expected to do (or could do), so didn't continue playing after the first minute. Didn't rate though. |
| Aug 29 19:02:00 | 23h 08m | Cage Flight | I like moving in 3-space and online combat is always fun. If there is a future version something should be done about the slowness, are you using WebGL already? |
| Sep 10 01:06:00 | 270h 04m | Happy Vegan Birthday | Would be really interested to see how the character was made for this one. |
| Sep 18 05:37:00 | 196h 31m | How evolution really works? | Don't recall that "jump on top of AI before they jump on top of you" thing being used since Joust. Part where all were competing for the apple was unique. |
