| Aug 22 07:13:00 | Prelude of the Chambered | The evolution of Mojang games: from punching trees to punching boulders. | |
| Aug 22 07:56:00 | 43m 00s | Astar | I like this! A simple but versatile concept. |
| Aug 22 08:01:00 | 5m 00s | BitScape Goat | One of the best graphical styles in this LD. |
| Aug 22 08:26:00 | 25m 00s | I Think In A Minute Or So I Will Explode | Just tricky enough for my tastes. Fun stuff, and a great name. |
| Aug 22 08:52:00 | 26m 00s | Beam Runner | These are the kinds of games LD is about. Short but sweet. I could play like 50 levels of this, so I'm glad there's a level editor. |
| Aug 22 13:32:00 | 4h 40m | Stratus | Beautiful, yeah. The interaction needs refinement, though. The instructions at the bottom right are unclear and you'll end up trying to click everything. Use text rather than images - you could even tell a story (describe the events) while you're at it.

It ends right when it's started, but that's only to be expected from 48h games. I'm hoping you'll develop this further on your own time. |
| Aug 22 16:04:00 | 2h 32m | Mob Escape | "Reverse tower defense" sounded promising, but it isn't quite what the player might expect. Gets a bit uninteresting quickly because of the lack of variation. Also, there's little payoff for fighting rather than running away - but I guess that just fits the theme, heh. |
| Aug 22 16:25:00 | 21m 00s | "EscapeBot" | This stands out from the average entry. A bit liberal take on the already loose theme, but it's worth that sacrifice.

Some of the upgrades and instructions are unnecessary because memory slots are plentiful. This tones down the difficulty and variation.

The music does get annoying quickly, I think this game could do better without it. |
| Aug 22 16:35:00 | 10m 00s | Escape | I love the "hectic" feel in this. The shaky camera and the music are a big factor. Delightful how the music evolves as you climb.

The responsive controls make the eventual failure feel fair, and that's what makes this game addictive. |
| Aug 22 17:13:00 | 38m 00s | Vector Dash | Not quite varied enough to stay interesting all the way. |
| Aug 22 17:24:00 | 11m 00s | Flee Buster | I like how the switching mechanic forces you to think where to leave your character, then quickly adjust again. The controls feel fair and the one life policy keeps the player on their toes. Addicting stuff, I'll get all the tokens eventually! |
| Aug 22 17:57:00 | 33m 00s | Bunnies, Back Into Your Cage! | The concept is good but the execution is lacking. The controls are awkward; it's as if the game can't decide whether it's a top-down Sokoban-like game or a platformer. It takes much longer than expected to clear each level, to the point where rearranging the blocks over and over starts feeling tedious. |
| Aug 22 18:28:00 | 31m 00s | McPixel | The first game to actually get a humor score from me. |
| Aug 22 20:30:00 | 2h 02m | Bomber Planet | It's pretty and sounds good. But like the others said, the exploration feels too maze-like despite the changing sceneries. There's little incentive to check every nook and cranny. |
| Aug 22 20:35:00 | 5m 00s | Dungeon Exit | Oh you |
| Aug 23 07:43:00 | 11h 08m | Escape the Normal Life | This desperately needs an online high score mode with an infinite path that keeps on going faster and faster. Also, how about something to do with the left mouse button, such as jumping?

Liking the art style a lot. I get the feeling you spent most of your time on the graphics and missed out on some features you would've wanted to implement. |
| Aug 23 13:27:00 | 5h 44m | The Cell | Just admit it, you started working on a self-replication game in advance, then changed the graphics when the theme turned out to be "escape" instead. :y

Tsk tsk. |
| Aug 23 14:03:00 | 36m 00s | When I Was Human | It's weird how right after the player gets a speed boost, the level design becomes more about nimble jumps. Luckily there were some wide open spaces to run in after that. |
| Aug 23 15:32:00 | 1h 29m | Escape the Zombie Horde | Surprisingly fun with minimal game mechanics. |
| Aug 24 09:30:00 | 17h 58m | BATHOS | Haha, got it. This is that one game this compo must have. You should've added more levels, though, right now it's just a novelty thing rather than a proper game. |
| Aug 24 09:42:00 | 12m 00s | Left Again | Good stuff. Kinda like a tower defense with moving towers, heh. There's enough variation between levels to keep things interesting, and the upgrade system is a plus. Enough challenge as well, and it doesn't end just when the fun's gotten started. |
| Aug 24 14:09:00 | 4h 27m | Mindbane | A solid game with a neat mechanic.

I didn't think it was particularly hard. The only thing that caused frustration was the way you keep moving left or right while jumping, even after you let go of the key. |
| Aug 24 14:22:00 | 13m 00s | The Sky Is Falling | Augh. Did anyone else get the feeling that the jump key didn't register even though you clearly pressed it? |
| Aug 24 21:53:00 | 7h 31m | Next Time I Won't Trust the Man in the White Van | This game pushes my blocks. |
| Aug 24 22:08:00 | 15m 00s | Metal Sphere Solid | The movement was too heavy for my tastes, but I guess it was fitting for an atmospheric type of game. You wouldn't really want to breeze through the environments because there's lots of eyecandy.

Your contributions to the community shouldn't be ignored either, you've written a couple of interesting blog posts and currently have the highest coolness rating on the site. |
| Aug 25 09:36:00 | 11h 28m | EscApe | Lovely, getting an arcade/Lemmings vibe from this. Quite challenging too, but not unfair.

And congratulations on your bronze coolness medal. |
| Aug 25 12:00:00 | 2h 24m | To Hell And Back | Yeah, I'd also like to advance the dialogue by left-clicking since I'm a fast reader.

But that's just nitpicking, it's quite impressive for a 48 hour game. |
| Aug 25 22:30:00 | 10h 30m | Anthony's Psyche: Escape | ;_; |
| Aug 26 12:09:00 | 13h 39m | Escape Velocity | The "original" version has fake difficulty caused by having to restart from the start after dying. I'm glad you've tried to respond to complaints by making improved versions; that's why I gave you a high community rating. "Escape velocity" is also a distinctive take on the theme.

However, the game still has very little content despite being promising. I feel that you should keep developing it further. |
| Aug 27 21:46:00 | 33h 37m | / ESCAPE \ | A simple concept, but great presentation and so much fun. Games like these are Ludum Dare's speciality. |
| Sep 4 11:48:00 | 182h 02m | Jameson Livingston Penguin | Some of the enemies never appeared despite the warnings. This was especially bad with the UFOs - I think I only saw 3 of them, but kept hearing the sound all the time. That's what made the game too easy, only the grey planes felt like a threat. |
| Sep 4 12:04:00 | 16m 00s | Demonout - the roguesque adventure | I think you bit more than you could chew. It's pretty long for an LD game, but it still feels like there was next to no content in a way. Not enough challenge, not enough variation between stats or enemies. |
| Sep 4 12:25:00 | 21m 00s | Abscond | A surprisingly fun resource management game, but it could use some new threats after you've upgraded a stat enough to be comfortable. |
| Sep 4 12:37:00 | 12m 00s | Evasion | Nice difficulty progression, fits the theme, feels very polished. Lots of fun from a single concept. |
