| Beacon | Very impressive, but where is the source code / assets?
Can you please provide a link?
| Candle | - By far my favorite entry I've played so far!
- Beautiful concept. Just melting the wax is peaceful and meditative. Almost doesn't need a game objective. It's just a fun enough toy.
- Cute pixel art character. He even has a bit of a pot belly! :)
- Could use more variety in music / art / gameplay. But this is understandable for the given time. But a bit more depth in one of these areas would have been great.
- I just want more things to melt! And perhaps things to avoid. :)
| Cave Ninja | Really fun!
I love the use of marching squares to do destructible terrain. I have been working on the exact same thing over the last week so its really nice to have a look at your implementation. Very clean.

This game has a lot of polish. It has a clear beginning and end, and excellent instructions/tutorial. My favorite of all the ones I have voted on. It's something I would play for fun, and in 48 hrs!

l33tass. | ||
| Cavern Pellet Eater Creatures | Enjoyed the journal you kept! Thanks.

Lots of great graphics, and idea is cute.
I found the game to be a bit frustrating, and mostly about trial and error. But this could easily be improved with more time.
| Caverns of Venus | Looks like a game, plays like a game. I like :)
Sounds blast my ears.

Still impressive for the extra short time you had!
| Mr Monocle And His Marvelous Madcap Underground Race | I was impressed by the number of graphics you drew up and used in the time! Sooo much art!

I think cave generation worked out well, even though its fairly simple.

It was a bit to easy to die. Kind of frustrating to die by strafing into the edge. I would prefer if only head-on collisions could kill the player.
| Shafted! | - Fun concept, pretty execution of it!
- Graphics are simple, but work nicely
- Yay sound. Death is so much better with a cute snap.
- Stalagmites are just sort of annoying.
- Controls are a little akward. (1 button + directions would be adequate)
- Pressing space on sign more than once throws extra text up.
- Character is centered in screen, but all gameplay requires looking down. Could be placed higher up.
- Its unclear which items can actually be reached, and which are just their to frustrate me! :)

Thanks! | ||
| Lurking. | Audio is nice, but selected N/A since its not created during compo.

I really like the idea. Avoiding fear in a dark cavern!
Pixelated light beam and character are pretty cool.
| Cave Fishter | I like the gameplay oddly enough. Controls are too icy though, could use some damping or cave-friction to cancel out the cave-gliding :) | ||
| Grue | Excellent use of the hex constant 0x100000.
One of the best uses I have encountered.

Keep up the good work! | ||
| Simply Cavern | Nice start sound :)
Endless random generated world is cool.
The graphics are cute, but a bit still.
Camera panning around makes me motion sick!
| The Walls are Not Cheese | - I like the idea, very unique twist on the idea. Mmm cheese. Tunneling is fun too!
- Especially like the particle effects and jumpy bits.
- Could be developed with more of a flow and gameplay in mind (beginning, middle, end).
- Like destroysound said, more of a tech demo than a game, but really cool.
| c4v3rnz | Marble rolling games are fun, leading characters to exit zone is fun, good mashup :)

Emotes were a really nice touch to add some character to spheres.

Rolling physics were way off (animation doesn't match motion at all, momentum is a bit wacky) which shouldn't be too hard to do. I think fixing this would be the biggest graphical improvement. Shaders and lighting effects aren't important. Especially when they have to be disabled to play!

Over all, I like this entry. Nice job.
| Mineral Miner | Wow this is an interesting entry.

Gameplay: one of the best ideas I've seen yet. This is actually a really fun and new (to me at least) puzzle idea. Huge props. Awesome! I wish it had more levels. Is this based on anything or completely new? Cool in any case.

Art/Sound: Terrible. Haha. I would prefer if it had no sound at all or you prevented the sound from looping. My ears are bleeding! :)
| Cavern Chase | Awesome effort playing all the games you could! :)

Cute game, the sounds and graphics worked well.
Wish there was more variety in cave generation though.
Seems pretty limited for 48 hours and a powerful tool like gamemaker. Hope to see more next time!
| Ninja Spelunker | Really nice execution of the tunnel effect. Looks good. Actually pretty fun to play too!

Also, great timelapse. Thanks for sharing!
| Rex's Cavernous Survival Horror Game Thing | Looked really promising in the first shots, but feels pretty incomplete. Perhaps too ambitious. Could be scaled down and focused.

I really like the destroyable terrain, and any game with a zombird and hamster is good!

Less tech, more gameplay, and some sound (even SFXR random clicks) and this is awesome.
| Cavern Relics | -Character looks awesome. Even though you said you cheated on the walk animation, still looks slick.
- Really like how you used debugging info as a gameplay element, and moonwalk as a gameplay element. Pretty clever and worked out.
- Interesting even though there is no real opponent / force of nature / conflict. Just exploring.
- Navigating around nearly blind is a bit frustrating.
- Not very much to do! :( | ||
| Clocksey and the Cavern | Really cute graphics, plays quite well. Only complaint is it is very easy to touch a spike (from above or below) and die horribly, even though you haven't touched the point itself.

Nice work | ||
| Xue | As everyone said and you already know, Parallax effect looks awesome.

Would be cool to see this developed further. Random generation and endless worlds are a bit scary though. Kind of creep me out :)
| Jello Cavern | By the time lapse and code it looks like you spent a ton of time implementing that ant!

Cool ant, just wish there was a better world for him to live in!
| "Conway's Game of Caverns" | Cool music.

Though unfortunately rest of game did not work. It was running at around 1fps and all I could see was a wireframe plane :(
| A Matter Of Life Or Death At The Caverns Of Deep And Dark | You get credit for doing this in SDL / C++ and cross compiling from linux! Yay.

Unfortunately it runs ridiculously fast on windows, so its unplayable :(

Cave generation looked cool. Some sound and rounded tiles would be a plus.

Cheers | ||
| Black Cave | Download link is broken. :( |
