LD22 — Alone

Forgotten Memories by Ludexor Studios 2011-12-19T23:50:00

I love it. I'm a bit concerned about connecting to mysql as root and having the password in there, but, I imagine you obfuscated it.

I'd also love to see this thrown onto gitorius or the like so it could be forked from your original and mucked about with - the concept is so clever what with the back end remembering bits, and using that to render more stuff.

Again, I love it. And it makes me want to mess about with webgl more. Unlike most webgl bits I've looked at (iq's shader toy mostly) this is, well, understandable and not "and then I pour the magic liquid into the machine and it comes out with this raytraced stuff!"

Thank you for making this.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

League of Miniheroes by rodrigomotta 2014-12-13T17:04:00

Seems to be a small bug in the creeps attacking the lower left hand tower - they run right past it. Seems like a sensible start to a MOBA game.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Baker's Dozen by Anheurystics 2015-04-20T07:24:00

Lost my crosshair on the 2nd stage; just went ahead and positioned myself to take the baddies out with the location it was. Discovered later that it was just offscreen.
- May want to limit it to the screen.
- May want to have it move with the player.
- Jumping between screens significantly impacts where the crosshair is.

Not bad for a prototype, though. the c64 pallette choice works. Baker animation is good (:

Monkey Business by colludium 2015-04-20T16:20:00

I like how the walking people won't walk into the traps, but I don't like how they don't die from bullets (:

Still, excellent game, yes, with some more work it may have good potential as a full game. Will need more content, and perhaps divebomb pooping (: (Which is what I tried at first (: )

Duk can't swim?

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Old School'd by TeamBALD 2016-08-30T14:34:00

The intro song is great, and once I realized that I could shoot things it went much better (:

I need tea by Truck 2016-08-30T14:22:00

That pressing 'Z' to continue - that's the bug with the ending of the game. It is SUPPOSED to display a "You won!" type screen.

It's not complete in that there are ideas unimplemented, and the majority of them are puzzles (: Will just make a final. Thanks for the critique!

LD37 — One room

Sonder by Ludipe 2016-12-12T00:11:00

I had a similar idea, except instead of 'waiting room' I was working on 'interview room.' This is more fleshed out than my idea.

I had some issues with placing folks as I didn't really see the mouse color change when dropping someone was valid. It worked but perhaps a bit more contrast/change in color so it's more obvious, as often when you THINK you're over a valid seat, you aren't.

The game ended a bit suddenly, the story did seem to be building to something. I imagine that was 'time' related.

LD39 — Running out of Power

So ... and WHY is this light grey on white? Seriously, why is this light grey on white.

I THE ENTRY

- I had a birthday in the middle of this and it involved beer, thus jam - This is very silly. - It basically just was the 'Obvious' game to be made. So I made it. - I am making gameply now. GFX mostly done. SFX/Muzak: OMG BECKY LOOK AT HER BUTT

- I don't know if these are to be blog entries or not. I submit actual game SOON.

So, here it is, and I'll write up the postmortem part 1 (how to play / what is missing) in a bit.

Right now, I had better get the GAME file online. source is up. It's wildly ... yeah more on that in postmortem 2.

- this edit box is STILL light grey on white. WHY?

The Internet vs. Ludum Dare by truck 2017-08-01T13:08:55Z

Aha! That would explain it, I forgot to get the certificate! And yes, the game controls are... yes. letÅ› do that. Wanted to put them in game, but, will cover in postmortem.

Thanks for the feedback, especially on the graphics - sadly some of the graphics you cannot see due to running out of time (the ferrets, for example, are rotating 90 degrees in the wrong direction, which I thought was ... well _I_ liked the joke.)

Starting off with money and needing to buy an animal - that is a good suggestion, that would definately reduce the learning curve. Of course, that would MAINLY be due to having that code in the game and working!

I will be definately adding a 'sound' cue in the next game for such things as dropping food on the critters - that would help. Essentially you do get a visual cue when it works, but it was a very last-minute-rush "ok just take 20 pixels from the center of where it is that's good enough I only have an hour" so it really is very hit and miss. When you do succeed, the 'food' in front of pov dissappears.

Unfortunately, buying critters only subtracts the money - it doesn't actually trigger an upgrade, as you should have also been able to carry a critter, not just food.

I'll detail this more in the post-mortem. And I'll ... I think I'll release a final after this coming weekend (the Assembly demoparty in Finland.)

Again, very much appreciate the feedback. Glad you liked some part of the game, means I did the right thing releasing it 'as is' and not 'hiding it until finished' (:

Ok, I seem to need to get this darn thing back up, and... finish it.

Sadly the server is offline, because we moved it physically. Luckily, source! So I put it online soon.
