LD44 — Your life is currency

SimuCorp by Nick Rafalski 2019-04-29T18:46:13Z

A nice concept. I really like the little minions and how much depth you've managed to give them. I'd say there is definitely a learning curve but it's great fun anyway. On my 2nd attempt I encountered a bug which allowed me to recruit a person to 2nd floor even though there was no 2nd floor, so he would end up standing in there doing absolutely nothing.

A clever little game! I love the art style and the movement was very smooth. I kinda wish there would be more variety to the words that you need to type in the typewriter minigame. The birdwatching could have had more birds or they could fly slower. All in all a good product.

Enemy Of The State by Darylsteak 2019-05-02T07:54:37Z

This is a great game! The gun noises were well implemented and having read that there used to be lag, I did not notice that harsh lag until the very end of the game when there were multiple soldiers firing at me at the same time. I would have maybe hoped to see the theme tied to the game more closely but as a spiritual child of Hotline Miami it works well.

DISREGARD LIFE, ACQUIRE CURRENCY by notb 2019-04-29T21:07:10Z

Very atmospheric although there isn't a lot of content. I am impressed how you did it with pixels, well done. Sometimes the flickering lights were a bit distracting.

@draedrus That sounds odd to me (I made the code). As I just tested it again and was able to finish the current build. Were you able to move at all? It's a gameplay mechanic that you move using your health, and if health ends, you die. Arrow keys should respond as moving in different directions.

@draedrus I am sorry that you feel like the difficulty level of the game is very steep. If we get plenty of comments about it, we might adjust it a bit lower eventually. But from designer's perspective we felt like the game length compensates well for the amount that you can move at one time. The game has only 4 levels in the end so it isn't that long.
