The messages that scroll on screen go ridiculously fast for me, perhaps you forgot to multiply the speed with a delta? (Game runs at ~350fps for me)
Also not sure which "drugs" are the right one? I keep dying and was also not able to try again without restarting the game?
Loved the music and background shifting (although you might want to put an epilepsy warning :-)
Nice little game, the bear claw seems to be a bit too powerful, a shield or some sort of healing consumable would be nice.
Also saw the level change a bit but wasn't sure how that mechanic worked.
Have you considered embedding your submission as html playable in ludumdare site itself?
Nice work, would be nice to be able to gain seconds by destroying some of your own parts.
@swellbastion and @terracottafrog can you try Chrome ?
Good game, would've been nice to have some indicator of when the shape shifting is enabled or not.
The sound on the digging is quite annoyingly high.
Lovely entry, surprised no HTML5 version output from Unreal ?
Middle click camera panning would've been nice maybe or 2 buttons for turning left/right instead of only 1.
Very good entry, a classic shmup as you clearly state yourself. Love the 8bit style. Shame there's no awesome soundtrack to go with it.
Found the music now as well, the volume balancing is a bit off, music and most sound effects are rather quiet while the deaths sound is obnoxiously loud :)
Nice work, the camera was a little shaky and the point of view shifting back a little as you get faster would be nice.
Nice touch with the audio speed increasing as well.
Funny how we got quite similar ideas!
The download is quite hard, can you perhaps package the whole thing into one zip ?
Lovely game, got stuck with the spring/bouncing part.
Quite a difficult game, had a bit of trouble getting beyond 2nd pair of guys. The physics on the cubes sometimes act quite unpredictably, launching me, the cube or the enemy occasionally.
The limited AI made the game somewhat easy, hope you didn't lose too much of your soul on it :)
Also a bit confusing how your entry is called ShapeQuest but the file is Shapeshifting.
I enjoyed the light hearted experience
Might want to host it somewhere else as I'm getting a download error now. Also it is confusing that it's a direct .py download (Chrome even blocked the download automatically)
Thanks earlier for the words of encouragement!
Difficult game, didn't seem to be able to switch back to the jumper sometimes.
Good entry, the shooting sound gets really repetitive though, maybe some random variation? Love the soundtrack.
Found the gravity mechanic a bit superfluous (not required).
A bit more graphical difference (color/sound?) between enemy types would would be nice.
Your source link is the same exe file btw
Nice art style, pity the gun meter doesn't actually count. The music also stops after a while and you can get game over + win together :)
Some indication of taking damage (maybe some simple sound effects) would've helped greatly in understanding what's going on.
Being how you made this from scratch with SDL it's a good first entry imho.
Good entry, sometimes a bit hard to see the oncoming shapes maybe some transparency on your own pawn?
Strange how you decided to embed the pdb files, removing those would reduce your download size quite a bit!
Also Unity has a web output version, would help to get more ratings I think.
A real challenge to play, the relation shooting direction is a weird one, perhaps switch together with shifting or make it scroll from the top instead of the right
Brutal difficulty, nice execution.
Some notes:
Had to restart the game once to see the controls :)
Bit weird you can walk out of the screen.
Maybe another enemy type that does close range damage and make the others inert so you can touch them without dying.
Got this error one time:

Couldn't run, try talking to Trash_Empire he had that same issue and was able to fix it.
Found the controls hard, rebinding to numpad 1/2/3 helped for me.
Kudos on the drawing style
