Graphics and music are really good, but I found the difficulty a bit to high. There are some cases where it is always impossible to get through without taking damage for the first 2 tries. Also I would disable input during the fading part as I died a lot because I kept pressing the right when entering the new room running into spikes instantly... :D
Really great and original idea! I would add some more gameplay elements to make it more interesting and to give more options to be able to solve the puzzles.
