LD35 — Shapeshift

Wall Buster by Interface 2016-04-20T02:10:00

This was a fun game~

In the beginning, it was hard to get a hang of and I felt that I had no idea what was going on but at about wall 4 I started to get how the game worked.

If the game was better explained or there was some sort of a difficulty curve where you are slowly introduced to features as the game goes this would have been far more enjoyable but either way, I think that this forms a great basis for an interesting puzzle game.

So basically the only real criticism I can think of was the lack of explanation but it's a fun game once you get the hang of it.

Shadow of the Red Hand by andyman404 2016-05-01T04:28:00

This game...

Was that good.

The art was amazing and the game was so innovative honestly the idea of shadow puppets... And the soundtrack... And the art, and all those little effects and did I mention the art?

Good job my favourite game so far here.

Escape from the Dungeon of Snor by Weeping Rupee 2016-04-25T04:41:00

This is an enjoyable game overall.

The puzzles were interesting and the house design was pretty cool. The audio, in general, fits the game well and the humor is nice.

I think you're using game maker so one tip is to draw the text from talking in the GUI event so it draws on the bottom of the screen instead of under the character. Use the variables from the views system to figure out the middle of the screen and draw it from there.

De Skogen by Aidan Markham 2016-04-29T09:20:00

This was nice. Really nice.

I felt kinda disappointed at first but I decided to explore and play around a bit, but as I started collecting more... I notice a few things. The fog would get stronger, I could no longer hear my own footsteps things started becoming kinda unstable and the music... started to have a different effect on me.

In the end, I got scared but was at the same time really curious, I guess this game is kinda symbolic and I felt like it had some sort of a deeper meaning.

I couldn't see the theme but maybe it was that core thingy that got bigger.

Either way this was a great atmospheric game, good job.

Everyone's Evil Twin by JJJANEE 2016-04-20T03:02:00

This was a really good game, a bit deep even...

There should have been a way to speed up the text because some people are faster readers or have already read that text several times.

Aside from that this was a really interesting puzzle game, I don't believe that I have played a game like this before and the text really conveys the mood and may even some deeper messages. The story of the game is actually interesting.

One other problem is with the people that move sideways. Unless you were paying attention to them from the move before its impossible to tell which way they will move if they're in the middle of the screen but maybe that isn't really a bad thing - You need to pay attention to everything all the time.

Overall it was a fun and interesting puzzler.

The Pollos by Nolocality 2016-04-23T02:11:00

The character art was an interesting thing, I liked them. The music wasn't bad, but could get annoying very quickly and it took me a bit o figure out how to get to the next desert transformation. The graphics in all I felt actually made the game feel kinda surreal and I felt really did suit the game. I liked the game it was an interesting play.

dungeon of the shapeshifter by Naweed - Benoit by SIN Gaiiden2 2016-05-03T13:30:00

Fun game.

Its *really* easy.
I managed to finish it all in one go.

On a more serious note, the game was actually fun... Although hard games... Really aren't my thing it was an interesting play. The graphic were good but you need to remember to orient the mice and other stuff correctly or at least flip it so the sprite looks in place because a backwards walking mice...

Anyways good job.

You've got balls by The M 2016-04-25T05:04:00

This is i think one of the better entries i believe.

The sound and art are just what they need to be the animation is simple but it its the mood of the game. The level disigns were also good providing a good difficulty curve.

Another thing that i like is that the ball and human had very different uses - the human had mre precision while the ball was more powerful. Also changing mid air meant that you could pull off some of the more intresting stunts.

A good game.
