The Necromancer Saga: Endless Dungeons by frankitox16 2019-05-02T14:23:09Z

I liked it, and not only because I've always been a fan of necromancers. It has a great "golden age RPG" vibe, so I would love to get a bit of narrative content in this nice scenery. But the simple fact it runs so smoothly and naturally builds up in difficulty is already very impressive !

That's amazing! The concept is completely unexpected and I'm very impressed by the clean production. Clearly, this game stands out amongst the ones I tried! Congratulations!

I absolutely agree with @eclahn's analysis, and I also think there's a great potential, as I quite enjoyed the general mood and feel of your game.

I tried it three times. I found balance the first, then went overachiever, and then tried it a third time in slacker mode, expecting an other scene than the twilight to appear. I guess it got cut on account of the deadline ? Out of curiosity, how would you have symbolised this third path ?

One More Drop by ZAX 2019-05-02T16:12:55Z

From a technical point of view, this is an absolute great game. I really love the character design, the effects are spot on, and everything is very well finished. I just thought it was a bit easy, and would love to play a post-jam version with more challenging levels.

Thank you very much, @rombus.

The counter is unfortunately a feature that got a bit botched due to the deadline… The little crown in the top right corner is actually a honor counter. Our project was that, each time the player dies, the honor received in his last run would be converted in gold (the main idea was to implement a bid system, where a coefficient would have been applied, depending on the insurance you'd subscribed to). All of that was cut due to time, so the honor counter simply reset and the sum of money owned by the player is only indicated in the dialogs. But we're aware that's a clumsy fix…

Vampire Escape by Copito 2019-05-02T20:28:13Z

No bug to report on my end. I wished there was a little more weapons in the shop, but that's partially my fault for building a deck way too large. That always happen when I play that kind of game…

As you've probably guessed, I didn't manage to escape, despite my two trials. But I feel I've seen almost everything the game has to offer, wich is in fact quite substantial. It could be tuned a bit better, but there's is plenty of nice content. Despite their simplicity, the graphics are very well done, as is the music. Only the dialog boxes maybe lack a bit of polish, wich is very understandable, in the context of a jam.

Money is Life by lilou_cormic 2019-05-02T00:35:24Z

I've just discovered this game through @spacemonkey's video. As I'm typically the guy overstressed when playing Tetris, I must say I quite enjoyed the chilly pace of this one, as well as the bombs acting as a remedy to my clumsiness. I just got sometimes a bit frustrated when my block got sticked by its side while I was trying to conduct him gently towards a good spot. It seemed I could sometimes graze an obstacle and sometimes not (depending on the colors ?). I could not determine if this was an intended feature or not…

Fields of Sacrifice by Isvan 2019-05-02T15:26:45Z

I'm as well very into the aesthetic of the game. Going medieval was a really smart and bold move.

The mechanic is also quite enjoyable. I just found the map to be a bit too large, as I have often spend much time looking for demons…

Great work overall!

Sold Soul by Black Flag 2019-05-02T14:54:08Z

I like the semi rough semi quirky vibe of this game. It's impressive that you did it all by yourself, graphics and music included. That's really the "game jam spirit" we're looking for! Some of the tricks you used are actually very clever, like the messages written on the floor, wich I found to be an effective narrative fix.

A little flaw is that the ennemies seem able to shoot through the walls, but that's really not that big of an issue. It also seems like the character goes faster in diagonal. Again, really not an issue, but that felt unintended.

Great work overall!
