LD45 — Start with nothing

I ain't got no body by WeaverDeveloper 2019-10-10T08:19:51Z

Amazing! The animations combined with their sfx were very funny, especially the two moving fingers when you only have the arm.

As other jammers say, the camera can get hard to control on certain spots and I found a couple of bugs: - If you press ESC to pause the game and then press START to resume playing, the game crashes. - If you're killed at the same time you kill the boss (for example if it throws you leaves just when you shoot it), you have to repeat that section.

Thanks for making this game, I really enjoyed playing it!

Nice game! It became really fun once I got the hang of it. My best score was 824 points! One small thing that confused me at the begging is that I got the "game over" message without touching any of the red zones, then I realized that the way to lose in this game is to not have any pieces left. I would suggest putting a "you ran out of pieces" message below the "game over" or making the pieces number flash when it gets to 0, so that you know why you've lost.

2D PLATFORMER EXE by GabrielGameDev 2019-10-14T16:04:34Z

Nice game. I really liked going back and seeing how the new things that I implemented changed the level.

@asturk Thanks a lot! We're actually thinking about making a mobile version with some more levels and improving the art ^·^.

@scarletmayhem We're so honored that it brought you memories from ice gliding in Pokemon, we also have some very good memories of those games.

@mharring Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it. What do you have in mind with gravity physics? Do you mean making a puzzle that uses gravity in a similar way as Mario Galaxy or you're thinking about something else? We'd love to know more about your idea, feel free to tell us as much as you want.

Just by looking at it you can see there is an incredible amount of work put into making this game, and it's all worth it. Everything is combined nicely and gives a very good feel to the game, good job!

I especially enjoyed the car driving controls and would love to see more of that.

If I had to point something out (not necessarily bad), I'd say that I almost didn't rotate the camera. After finding the hidden switch I left it at that angle and went on with the game. I don't mean that the rotate camera function should be removed, but that I didn't find much incentive to rotate it.

Best of luck if you continue with the development!

LD49 — Unstable

Unstable Robot Soccer by Ausstein 2021-10-09T16:24:50Z

I really liked the idea for this game, but I think that there are a few confusing things that with simple changes could improve the game even more.

- Sometimes it's hard to tell how far your robot is inside the football field. This is probably because the camera is placed on the side. To improve this you could try placing the camera in a more top-down fashion, placing it on your goal and facing the opponent's or adopting a 3rd or 1st person camera.

- It can be difficult to tell at which height the ball is at. To improve this you could make it cast a shadow downward or show an indicator like Rocket League does. I think they probably had to deal with similar problems so it can be a good reference to look into.

In general, having different lights that illuminate the objects would also help to spot where they are and to make everything look even better.

Thanks for making this game, it was really fun to play!
