Unique concept. i encountered a bug in which the goal orb was stuck within spikes, so I couldn't finish.

I'm not much of a card game guy but I enjoyed this! once I got the hang of it, I enjoyed the risk-and-reward systems like with the "draw x cards" cards. It felt really nice to get into a loop of regaining energy to draw more cards to gain more energy. The enemy and card variety was just right for me. Difficulty seemed to peak around the middle for me. Overall, I managed to beat most enemies in one attempt. The art was pretty good. Enemies were properly creepy and the animations kept the game from being visually stale. The shading seemed a bit muddled, which is understandable given the setting, but the spotlights and such could have been a nice opportunity for harsh, sharp lighting. The music was nice and atmospheric, if a tad grating. The rest of the sounds were a-ok. Well done guys! Lets go!!!!!!!
pretty nice art, i like the cyan highlights sorta vibe. I wish it was more consistent tho. I was intrigued by the writing, but it felt like it was setting up a story that just never came. Right when it fells like it's getting going, it ends just like that. Of course, that's understandable for a jam game. vibey music. I didn't see any connection to the theme other than a pretty abstract one.
Delightful little game.
This is everything a jam game should be. It's simple, but it makes full and effective use of it's mechanics and visuals.
It was the visuals that reeled me in. The boat is so adorable that I don't mind it being just about the only thing you see for the whole game (aside from the collectables, which also look nice).
The sound design is lovely, and I've enjoyed listening to the title theme on loop while writing this. And the jingle that plays when you catch a fish would make a great ringtone.
The gameplay is similarly simple, but I'd say it's about the best time I've had fishing in any game. It has some moments of complexity when you have to track down multiple fish at a time before they get away, but mostly, it's very easy and laid back. The tutorial may have dragged on a bit longer than I'd've liked, but it's not a big deal.
The little bit of story in this game is an unexpected touch, and I think it does it's part to add to the atmosphere of the game. I think the twist deserved more of a set up though.
Very well done chiyeon!
unique interpretation of the theme, for sure. The gameplay is fun enough, if basic. The moving platform did a good bit to spice it up. The background is interesting, but terribly distracting
The candle concept has a lot of potential, and I wanted to play through to the end! Unfortunately, the unreliable wall jumping, confounding mapping of the dash to the c key, and overall sluggishness prevented that.
very vibrant and interesting look, but the slippery controls and unfair level design deter me from finishing.
far from intuitive. I don't really understand what's happening, and I don't know how to get the steel i need.
@ticetunes glad to hear it!
The pace of the game is almost painfully slow. most of the time there's nothing to do because there are no gems to collect (at least none that I can see - it's very dark). Pressing the spacebar in addition to A and D felt odd and unnecessary. The track unfolding animation is a nice touch though!
