LD45 — Start with nothing

The Island by Sanguis 2019-10-08T10:09:32Z

Nice game! Very relaxed indeed. Fun fact: you can put buildings in the middle of the sea... if you left-click on the toolbar! ;D

*Note: I like my islands balanced, with a little bit of everything (and flowers).*

Also, I wished clicking on the tile button when you're on the last island did a simple refresh, so that I could try to build it differently a bunch of times, until I reach the perfect one. Right now I guess I just have to start again if I want to build a different "ultimate" island?

Start With Nothing On by Lagman9000 2019-10-08T18:04:06Z

This is just plain greatness. Congrats on the very very funny take on the theme! And the game is well executed and plenty of fun.

Note: as others mentioned, having Ctrl as "jump" is not a very clever thing, especially for a game that can be played in the browser... And "W" is a key to move the character... I was a bit surprised when my tab closed after my first jump! :smirk:

HEARTSCAPE by ZakAmana 2019-10-08T18:38:40Z

I love this game! I love card games, and the mix of deck building and puzzle game is great idea! It's a very polished entry as well, very good job, congratulations!

I did get a bug once where the game was just blocked and I couldn't do anything anymore, had to restart it. I also didn't like when I had to choose between the two of the same card after unlocking.

Other than that, man I'd love to play more levels of this!

Very nice game! The ambiance is great, the take on the theme is great, and the gameplay is pretty cool. I did enjoy playing it!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! We are glad you enjoyed our game. :v:

@reblys Yeah we didn't have anyone working on sound, so I did all that myself on the last day and haven't been very good at it. But at least there's sound!

@citsua That's very good feedback, thank you! The keys would indeed be better off in the actual order they appear on our keyboards.

The Last Word by stasm 2019-10-10T12:27:10Z

Folks, we took the liberty of releasing a 1.1 version of the game with buttons reordered to match keys on (most) keyboards. We hope this will make the game easier to play! If you want to test the actual Jam version as it was at the end of 72 hours, feel free to download version 1.0 instead. :-)

New Project by TheMiSta92 2019-10-15T07:18:14Z

I really enjoyed the idea, and the screenshots motivated me to try a few times to get to the end, but boy are the controls frustrating! I'm just too bad at this kind of games I guess, but the frustration of going back to the very start, and having to struggle with the platforms to get the easy mode, every single time, sadly killed it for me. I couldn't get past the first enemy, and believe, that makes me sad.

Unstable Dungeon by Rhymar 2019-10-08T14:35:33Z

This looks like the basics for a good dungeon crawler, but it is very hard to understand. The controls are not very well explained, and I have no idea what the various things I collected were useful for (even by knowing to teleport back and put them in the cauldron). I wished the game game more feedback on the player's equipment. Still, it's stable, the levels seem to be big, so good job! :)

VoidRunner by TechNSmile 2019-10-08T14:41:28Z

I like this concept, the gameplay is very promising, but sadly I found the game very buggy. The avatar doesn't always do the same pattern, making it really hard to get it to the end. It is also very unclear where the end is, how many blocks you can use, etc. Makes me sad because I think the game would have been great with a bit more work on the UI parts!

Stickymoji by Lord Ean 2019-10-08T18:20:35Z

Very good level design indeed, and pretty nice game overall! I went to the end of it and I did enjoy it. :-) I'm not quite sure how it connects to the theme though...
