@depression, your nickname makes it sound like this is exactly the kind of game you’d enjoy.
@WitheredWizard he went out of the window after that
Can't say I understood the story, but I clicked until the moon vomited and oil flushed the land... were you on a lot of drugs while making this? 😆
I really liked the hand drawn pencil effects and it was not too long enough so I didn't find myself getting bored, nice entry!
So suspenseful! I made it through! The story is amazing, and the atmosphere is great too. Could use some sound effects, though. Also, I didn't quite get the samovar bit
I can't say it was fun, clickers get real boring real fast
It really does lack some sounds or music here, it would be way scarier, now, it's more trippy or funny I guess?
The pencil shading makes that landscape look properly sick. A clicker about digging for more stuff is a good setup for horror, since it gives you a reason to keep going when you probably shouldn't.
I left my ratings! If you get a chance, please check out and rate our game too: [Robot Workshop](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/60/trashfight).
I really enjoyed the concept of turning an incremental clicker into a horror experience by digging into this strange, dying world. That sense of dread—of extracting things that should have stayed buried—is a brilliant setup for the whole game.
I think this game has the best atmosphere of any games I’ve played in this jam so far. I loved all the little hints and how everything gradually unfolded which really drew me in. Like your art btw
Pretty good arthouse experience! I couldn't tell if the lack of sound was an issue on my end or if there really isn't any (looks like there isn't, judging by the GitHub), but I think some audio could add even more to the atmosphere!
Got a feeling that this strange world is a lot like ours. Absolutely beautiful pencil artwork!
The game is pretty strong in the art direction but I'm just not the type for clicker games. Since I didn't feel rewarded enough for those 550 clicks (though I may have missed something) the idea of doing 5000 more snapped me out of it. But I'm sure that players who click with these mechanics would get joy out of it and discover more of its secrets. Good job on publishing a whole game and artful one as well, entries like these are in true LD spirit.
@kr4ft3r, didn't have enough time for proper balancing. Maybe my mistake was to spend too much time drawing and animating. Started coding only the last day. Expected, that game is not long and it would't be boring. It lasts in 3-4 minutes. I received some other feedback that progression is boring. Should have added more simpler upgrades
Interesting visual style. A classic clicker, but a really addictive one!
Definitely unique visuals (strongest side) but clicking became a little bit too much too quickly.
Damn I love the charcoal art style going on here. It was a lot of fun and I like the rough feel your entry has. I enjoyed discovering and identifying the mechanics on my own as a player, made me feel smart for a change :) https://www.youtube.com/live/1jKZ760uuDk?t=18042
