Bahahahahahahha, the music is purely perfect!! Also the art styyyle

kristinamay 2026-10-20 19:34 ♥ 3

oh my god the music is phenomenal!!! I am so bad at games like this but i just ran around and spammed the punch button until I got to the N64 boss who promptly defeated me with those dang Mario 64 yahoos. perfect vibes, and the gameplay reminded me of several games back on my SNES (mostly Turtles in Time and the Power Rangers game). I was bad at those, too :) thanks for making this game!!

this is great! the music and the sound is so nice! the world is fun to look at. love it!

is this suppose to be the endscreen? My player froze after beating this boss ones. screenshot.PNG

@mamboman hmm no that might be a bug, but there is just a quick dialogue screen and then the credits screen. Had a little easter egg in the credits, though you can get to that from the main menu.

Woah, Libgdx! Now that's an engine i haven't seen in a long time!

My duuuuuudes! What have I had the pleasure of experiencing?? Perfection! Art, atmosphere and music on spot!! Wowowow!

Sadly I could not play this without cheats. So thanks for including them hahaha. But I made it to the end to yet another lovely song (that I won't spoil!!)!

Regarding the gameplay: I am not a fighting game / brawler pro. Obviously. But the enemies all seemed kinder samey and in the end a bit health bar spongy. It took quite some time to take them down and with only two attacks maybe a bit more variety in attacks and enemies would have added more interesting encounters?

The controls felt a bit clunky to me. Why use shift and enter to throw (which did not work for me or I always failed at it) seemed a bit out of place. Why not Q and E right at WASD? Maybe also add aerial attacks?

But overall a lovely entry that I will save in a browser tab to play with my gf later. The highest of honors :)

[E] forgot to write: But one more improvement idea: When the enemies approached from the background it was hard to distinguish when they were on the right "plane"? Maybe give them a white flash or mute their colors while they are non-interactable?

@tosmaster thanks for the feedback! we ran out of time to dial in health and damage unfortunately, definitely agree with you there.

there are 3 attacks (jab from quick attack press, strong swipe by holding attack, kick by down+attack) and we built out double dragon style weapon pickups but ran out of time to make art and add them to the levels 😢, we wanted jump attacks but also ran out of time for that

also agree that the key bindings weren't great, gamepads are supported so that might play a bit better if you've got one.

there are shadows under the player and enemies to indicate when they're lined up, but they aren't as visible as they could be and can definitely get lost in the blood 😆, muting colors or outlining enemies that can be hit is a good idea

we might do a post-jam version with some additions since we ran out of time for more story too 🤞

glad you enjoyed it! ❤️

Ugh, done in by a rumble pack! Awesome game, love the level design and the music is a bop.

The vibe of Council of Obsolete Technologies really works, successfully mixing retro aesthetics with a satisfying brawler experience. The boss encounters felt incredibly unique, especially seeing the throwbacks incorporated into the action.

That’s very awesome!I love music so much!!!

vinnnie 2026-10-21 07:53 ♥ 3

Loved the audio, the art style, the retro background etc. I got gangbanged at the end of level 2 by a joystick

Another entry where my first tough was, what kind of drugs you people take 😆

Its a very game that gave me a few good chuckles, then I got beaten up by something from my childhood, great job!

A council of obsolete tech fighting for survival in a SNES style brawler is a great take on the theme, and the music gets so much love. The retro monitor loading screen is a nice touch too. Great job!

Really great graphics and an engaging world—well done! Consider making the gameplay smoother to ensure a more satisfying player experience.

OMG, an absolute nostalgia hit. Put a big smile on my face! Good game

I'm solidly in the age group that was playing these games at the arcade, so that was cool to see. I am confused by the final boss though, the n64 controller and the joystick were tough as hell and I got bullied into the corner on the joystick, and then I one-shot the cassette tape? Cool game and concept.

denissobolev 2026-10-23 10:04 ♥ 3

Gameplay is common but it's so cool in art and sound. Wonderfull!

uralys 2026-10-23 16:32 ♥ 3

that background timeline <3 I had to reach the end to see it all, too much good vibes !

jhonny111 2026-10-24 11:12 ♥ 0

While i was finishing the enemies the retro sound in the background finished me. I remember those sounds. Painfully. Also love the my corpse just lies there when i respawn.
