I can't fairly vote as the display is horribly broken. The title screen works fine, but in game everything is pitch black, text is having horizontal stripes making it nearly illegible and it's slow as molasses (the latter is probably my rig, but from the screenshots I can't see anything that should overwhelm it that much) Unfortunately there's no setting to lower details.

Wow, the game is intense!

I really like the audio design — all the sounds were great, and the music was good too, though the volume might be a bit low. The graphics were well done as well. It would be nice if the astronauts had animations — I think the eyes worked better as enemies because they didn't need an animation (although their shots look too similar to the crystals, which confused me a bit).

As someone who’s played strafe shooters before, I still had a hard time. I’m not sure if the enemy spawn rate is too fast, the player too slow, or the weapon too weak. Maybe there’s an upgrade system I missed because I didn’t get very far.

Overall, excellent presentation — well done!

I wouldn't mind checking out the source code, but it seems I need to request access. Any way you could make it public?

kykypy3o8 2025-10-06 06:25

It's a good game, I liked the pacing and the graphics are nice.

On my first playthrough, I collected about 80 gems and just got stuck on the textures on one of the platforms. I never managed to reach that mark on subsequent attempts.

But I definitely enjoyed the game, thanks!

av-shustov 2025-10-06 10:26

Very cool! Kicking the flying eyes is fun, but they quickly become too many.

bereg 2025-10-06 10:33

The art and sound style are really impressive! The game occasionally stutters when objects spawn, but it doesn't ruin the experience. I enjoyed the pacing, though I wish the difficulty curve were smoother - enemies appearing more gradually would help a lot.

tinykidtoo 2025-10-06 17:47

@pres2300 should be unrestricted now. I missed the sharing type on drive. sorry about that

tinykidtoo 2025-10-06 17:47

@endurion Thank you for letting me know. Are you on windows or Linux?

moonblast 2025-10-06 19:29

Challenging and atmospheric, with a touch of humor in the text etched onto the crystal.Kicking monsters is also incredibly immersive.

pres2300 2025-10-06 23:50

Like others have said, that was super intense! I didn't expect so many things to go after me so quickly! I ran the game with the console open and noticed a bunch of errors fill it, but the game seemingly worked well and ran fine, so I'm not sure what that was about. The difficulty did ramp pretty quickly, but I really enjoyed the SFX, music, and graphics! Nice work!

tinykidtoo 2025-10-07 00:19

@pres2300 Thank you for your feedback. Its certainly hard to get the difficulty right, I am not a good judge at that after making it all weekend. I will have to see if the errors are the cause of the performance issues. Thanks for the tip

drikdrok 2025-10-07 04:20

Extremely impressive entry! I found myself constantly running out of ammo, but luckily kicking is pretty awesome too- good stuff!

rionisse 2025-10-07 09:53

Hey! Very tight and snappy mechanics. I didn’t expect such solid shooting gameplay from a jam game. Though sometimes it feels like enemies spawn right behind my back...

towercrane 2025-10-07 10:00

It plays very well. The only thing i dont like is that eye's projectiles are the same as the crystalls we need to collect. I tried to grab damn things

leophyte 2025-10-07 10:05

Very polished, with a great onboarding!

Others mentionned the difficulty but I think that it could be solved easily by making the heal faster/instant with a cooldown and by tripling the weight limit (and making enemies spawn less, or at least this much only later in the game).

Also, shorten the dash cooldown, it's fun and won't be overpowered if you even divide the cd by two, probably.

Finally, not something important but while the kick is fun, it would feel even better if it had a slight impulse forward and then a slight impulse back when you hit something, just to get that extra oomf. Overall great submission :)

endurion 2025-10-07 14:24

@tinykidtoo: Windows (10). With an NVidia Quadro K420 (yeah, it still works)

torte478 2025-10-07 20:37

A fun and brutal shooter! I'm crazy about the visual style and the voice acting. Unfortunately, I got stuck in the textures midway through and got surrounded, but I still sold my life dearly.

baluj 2025-10-07 21:44

I liked the art and the sound. I wish there was a web version.

tinykidtoo 2025-10-07 21:57

@baluj I do too.... I just need to find out why the character controller spins uncontrollably in webgl.

graf 2025-10-07 22:21

Dynamic and exciting. Although it seems to me that not all crystals count, but I don't want to keep track of this when crowds of enemies are running at you. Dash is very enriching to the game

eugenik 2025-10-09 11:39

Nice music and idea!.

wallted 2025-10-15 20:51

Nice! The shooting and movement felt quite clean. I was overwhelmed by enemies without a clear solution beside rinse and repeat running around - some buffs would do a great deal for this. Even though the feedback was great after collecting stuff, it was not clear for me at times if I took something from the ground. Maybe a bigger hitbox with slight pull would help? Anyway this is still great piece of work to do all by yourself and I was tottaly motivated to play this to the end. Atmosphere is cool. Some piece of corpo-trivia-lore was also a nice touch :)

Really well executed shooter here. Like others have mentioned, I did get a little overwhelmed by the enemies usually and it was hard to see where the crystals were to pick up. I had a lot of fun running around and shooting the zombies and eyes. Really nice touch to have the dash implemented as well, which made it feel more fun. The visual and audio elements were outstanding. Nice work.

noagard 2025-10-17 14:57

Super stylish and surprisingly intense!Loved the sound design and atmosphere, kicking enemies feels great. Could use a gentler difficulty curve and clearer visuals for pickups vs projectiles, but overall an awesome jam entry!

nouchi 2025-10-21 00:35

Really like the art and audio.Good Job!!!!
