Interesting graphics, good concept. The sounds are also good!

Very nice. Using the boost feels really good and the space ship controlls are interesting. I was trying to fly as fast as possible through the asteroids without hitting any.

The graphics are great!

It's really weird, the game seemed to appear on a third monitor (I have two). I realized this by a thin line that appeared on the edge of the monitor when I launched the game.

I like the different resources and trying to balance how much of each i have, having some sort of time pressure would add a lot to the game i think. Also a bit of a bug (it didn't change how i rated anything) at some point i lost the ability to turn left and right. Overall very cool game!

matt-swieboda 2025-10-07 22:06

@cahard that is weird, sorry that is happening for you. We didn't test with 2 monitors, so unsure what's happening. However it's just default Godot fully maximized window (with title bar removed) so I'm not sure why that is happening. sorry :/

@electric-sun thanks for letting us know about the bug. I've seen that when you get launched from the dock, but then get too close to the dock. I tried placing the dock launch target further, but it's possible it didn't fully fix the issue. if it happens not related to the dock, not sure hadn't seen it, but if we make more enhancements, it's good to be aware of it to fix it, thank you!

looks cool!!

I really enjoyed the feeling of piloting the spaceship! I was a bit confused about the different resources at first, but overall it was a fun experience.

(After one warp jump, I didn’t encounter any resources — not sure if that was a bug or just an empty sector.)

Took a bit to figure out the warping was the main mechanic of the game, but by the time I managed to figure it out I was out of oxygen and the game started to crumble. First I lost vertical mouse controls, then WASD and eventually the entire game froze but audio was still playing. An interesting take on the theme and and there was a lot of good, but I kinda soured the experience for myself.

Also for some reason the game launched in the background and had to be maximized from the taskbar for it show, which cause the buttons or the mouse cursor to not be where it showed, weird.

This game unlocked a hidden memory of mining the asteroids in Galaxy on Fire a long time ago. Graphics are nice, and controls are really smooth and enjoyable.

I like the concept of limiting resources for each asteroid field, but that being said, having one main resource and one sub-resource per asteroid field, when you need at least three out of five in total for your ship to function is a bit too much. Maybe I didn't figure something out, but not finding ice at all across 4 jumps does invoke emotions xD Maybe adding 1 or 2 guaranteed asteroids of each necessary-for-survival resource could make the experience a bit better?

In any case, I compelted the mission on the second try despite what I said above, and it was a pretty enjoyable experience of the "work sim" genre :)

Great game and graphics! Did you use a template from Github? I think I recognize the GUI and ship look, but you gave it a big remix! Well done!

matt-swieboda 2025-10-19 16:51

nope, no template, the font we used was a Google Font i found, and all 3D models were created from scratch

Coul not figure how to use the dock. Ship lands on it automatically (neat animation, btw), waits a bit and ejects. But I do not get loaded or unloaded.

Nice game! Like the colorful visuals and the warping stars :) One thing that annoyed me: when I started the game it was in windows mode (which is fine) but it was partly outside my screen to I had to figure out how to move it as it is borderless so no mouse dragging possible. But maybe that was just because of my multi screen setup.

I have to agree with @baturinsky, I also could not figure out how the loading mechanism works.

Apart from that great enty!

I had a similar idea at the beginning of the jam, I liked the direction you took it! The graphics are pretty cool with all the stars in the background and the particle effects. I also liked the level setup and warping mechanic. The core gameplay was functional but a little bland - a bit more movement, e.g. moving rocks and/or ship momentum, objects/enemies to avoid, etc would definitely make it more fun. One small bug I ran into was I could never get my ship to empty fully - it seemed random how many resources would unload before it forced me to undock.
