Noooo! You can't end me on a cliffhanger haha! I want to know about The Hollow!!

Great job, I can't believe how much writing you must have done haha! Solid game!

I really liked the writing and the mystery, and the ending left me hungry for more. Sadly there is no more :(

Ah, just as it was getting good.

Short, in a way (I mean, I can imagine it's hard to write dialogue with such a large cast of characters), but polished enough that I don't think many rough edges jumped out at me this time around.

A few things I did notice: - I didn't even have to bribe the bartender -- maybe a bit _too_ much of a cliche? - I think it's 'xeroxed', not 'zeroxed'. - There's a bit in the 'Miners Market' that feels a bit disconnected because you talk to the people in a separate sub-menu than you inspect each of their places -- giving the impression that you have three empty buildings and then a marketplace where a waitress, a post-office lady and a taciturn hardware store owner are standing around. - A cat missing, and maybe down a shaft in an old mining town -- a bit of a stretch, but is that a 'Night in the Woods' reference? - Instead of :x: in the top-left corner, the maps have the unicode placeholder character (for me at least). - The text that has _'... circled in red: 10/3' near the end has the choices partly overlapping them.

I like the concept, and I like the freedom of being able to ask anyone about anything. I feel like it would be nice if I could save some clicks by clicking directly on a clue instead of clicking "ask about clue" then clicking on the clue.

For some reason Mine Level 2 and 'The Crusher' in the mine takes me to 'the Rusty Shaft', and 'Gas Station' takes me to the mine entrance.

I got a bit stuck after finding Jamie. I tried going back to the HQ, but I got old dialog again there introducing myself.

Really impressed with how much writing you have done for this entry. Being able to ask anyone about anything is quite cool.

This is so much works ! well done ! (I want to go to the colapsed zone and know that Will's cat will be fed  )

Nice work! I liked the writing and the atmosphere. I also liked the idea of exploring the depths of the mine and the depths of this town's secrets at the same time. I'm very impressed by how much you were able to get done in the allotted time, and I'd be interested to see what lies after the cliffhanger ending. One recommendation I'd give is to have a short version of the description of each character for after you've met them the first time--clicking through the exposition I'd already seen to talk to a character I had spoken to before got a little annoying. Also, I thought I was softlocked when I only had the Rusty Shaft and the Miner's Mart; it took me a while to find Winthorne Industries HQ. I think it'd be best if there are multiple conversation paths to find each location. Overall, though, great job!

I'm normally not one for a lot of dialogue in gamejam games, but this was really well done and an interesting mechanic for more engaging dialogue. I can only imagine the tree/spiderweb of dialog there is here, akin to something like the stanley parable, but the interface was delivered in a way that makes me yearn for a more engaging dialogue system in some of my favorite RPGs

That is a lot of work done by two people during 72 hours, well done! Unfortunately the music didn't loop, so the rest of the game was just silence with some SFX. The writing was excellent and it was easy to get involved in the story early on.

You got a lot done in a short timeframe. Incredible!

Such a cool entry! An impressive amount of content, and yet it ends when it's about to get most interesting. Great world-building.

I especially liked the sound effects synced to the text descriptions, it was a great tool for creating an immersive experience. Lots of great writing all around, and the clue and location system is really well set up. While it was a bit confusing, I didn't mind that many newly mentioned characters don't get added to the notebook - I guess it's a reasonable way of keeping the combination of clues and people manageable.

I think I ran into some glitches when trying to head into the mine - the mine map was first unresponsive, then it got stuck underneath the city map, and stayed there even when I started talking to the miners again - but eventually it came on top which allowed me to progress. I guess there must be some custom code handling navigation there, because it's sort of in the middle of a conversation - so you also have the "standard" option of finishing the convo (which seems to glitch out the map), or the custom action of navigating on this new map.

One of the most unexpectedly fun entries I've tried this jam. Well done!

Damn that cliffhanger! I really liked it, I think this could be a really fun detective game, and big kudos for all the audio you added to really enhance the atmosphere :) My only feedback is UX, which needs little improvement to be really tight: - Highlights on the maps on hover and some reaction on click, - Easier browsing through clues (the scroller was locking sometimes and I had to find the scroll and push it manually with mouse to work) - Quick-clicking on clue and people instead of having to always go back to "Pick person and clue" and then picking one

Overall, great atmosphere and looking forward to learning the rest of the story!
