The depth of field concept is super cool, I really enjoy how it was executed. Loved the graphics and audio. I wish there was more to the story, or more hidden "puzzles" like the joy one.

Loved the idea, the execution, the sfx and music. The images oozes charisma, specially the ones for the ending (that was rather abrupt though, but its expected in jams like these), I think that the only criticism I have is that sometimes the blur mechanic doesn't feel intuitive, i.e, you don't know which direction your mouse should go. All in all a game that stands out a lot! Would love to save it in my itch collection

Awesome idea and execution, you can definately play more with this concept and make a very scary and ominous game. Amazing work!

Really cool idea, really liked the style and presentation of it all. Seemed like the game way hinting at multiple paths but only managed to find one. Would be cool to see more of this!

Very interesting idea and execution. Sometimes I'll skip on a downloaded game but the screenshots were intriguing enough to draw me in.

I'm guessing things were prerendered?

Awesome job, though the initial ending really surprised me.

Oh, one bug I guess. I could click JOY before it was visible.

@malte-hedenstrom There is a secret good ending. Some words hidden well in the back tell you how.

The way the depth of field is used to guide the player is really clever! It creates a unique sense of focus and mystery. I enjoyed the overall atmosphere. This game has a really interesting concept. I agree with others that exploring more hidden elements or story threads using the blur mechanic could be fascinating. I'm impressed by the visual style and the audio design. They work together really well to create a distinct mood. The depth of field effect is a standout feature.

Cool

Well done! This is a super interesting take on “depth.” I actually thought about something similar at first, but it felt way too technically challenging—maybe requiring 3D and some kind of 2D projection.

If I understood correctly, you used blur and perspective of the images themselves to create the effect, which is really clever.

Given it was made in just three days, the level of polish is already impressive—but the game ended just as I was starting to really get into it! 😂

@foxecho It would be incredibly hard in Unity to set up the scenes in 3D, and we didn't have the gut to even try to tackle that. So we kinda took a short cut by creating scenes in Blender and pre-render everything, which made it way way easier to execute, and we were able to do some sleight of hand tricks with pre-rendered frames. And you were also correct that we really tried to polish the details, and we literally had no time left to add a lot of meaningful narrative/content 😐

(Also there's a second ending if you are curious. There is a hint in one of levels, which was kind of too well hidden if I think about it now)

This is really interesting and reminds me of getting my eyes checked.

This game has my favorite take on the theme so far. It's both well made and cleverly done! I didn't clock the additional ending until I read the comments, but it was so worth hunting for that way out. Awesome, awesome work.

I liked the animations and the Idea! Congratz! :).

Awesome, cool visual style and I loved there are actually choices and at least two endings! Great job and really solid game!

This is genuinely incredible, this game exudes charm and polish and it's gimmick is incredible. I really want to see this as a fully published game someday!
