Great game! I loved the characters and the voice acting in the character selection. Gameplay-wise it's a solid core for a karting game. Aiming the basic missile was kinda tricky in the hectic race so in that sense the homing missile was way more powerful. Also, hitting things and getting hit could use some more oomph. There was close to no indication when the missiles hit.

I couldn't quite figure out if the only way to win the race is to eliminate every other racer. If it is, then I'm not sure if racing hard and fast is the correct play. The easiest way to victory seemed to stay behind the pack and just blast everybody - which seems kinda counter-intuitive in a racing game.

This game has so much for a game jam. Yall really grinded!!!! Respect!! Anyways, loved the retro mario kart inspiration from this game.

Wooh this was fun! Took me a couple plays to figure out how to time the turns and stay on the road! But once I did, the game felt really smooth and reminded me of the original mario kart! Great job on this. The only suggestion would be some more indicators to show my current place or how much further to the end of the race.

I think something in the enemy logic is unoptimized, it ran at about 2 FPS until most of the enemies are dead (web version).

That said, the gameplay itself seemed pretty fun. I liked the various character sprites. It would have been cool to have a few more types of weapons, and maybe a "spin around" effect upon getting hit.

Cool, it's originally inspired from , The SNES Version. The pixel arts looks good, and even add several character select, nice! But I wonder how to win this game. In most racing games, the winnable way is to be the first one reach the finish line or complete the specified number of laps. When I play this game, using missiles is the only thing I can do. After beating up other AI enemies, I can't find other things to do, which made me feel aimless. In sum, it's a good game. Looking forward for your next works!

Old arcade kart racing done perfectly! The only thing that is not entirely clear at the end is where the enemy is.

I know time was probably the limiting factor, but would be nice with a UI number indicating which place you were in.

I really liked 2.5 D aesthetic, one of the more uniqe genres as well. For some reason the frame rate felt too low but I was not sure if it was my PC. Great entry!

Very nice homage to Mario Cart. I liked the pixel art and the characters are rad, my favorite is King Kami. Once I realized that it wasn't a race I found that staying ahead of the pack and mashing e was really dominant. You take blocks from them and you fish for a homing missile, I unlocked 4 when I used that strategy. I had fun! Great entry!

Pretty cool! You got a lot of characters in there for a game jam and the voice lines for them were funny. The sprites look great.

Driving felt pretty good. With how curvy the track was I think some drifting mechanics would've been nice, but braking works too.

The one thing the game really lacks for me is feedback, both in terms of the driving itself (some particles and some audio besides the engine which got quite repetitive) but especially to let you know whether you've managed to hit one of the opponents with your missiles. I was never really sure how well I was doing, and the transition back to the main screen was very jarring whether you'd won or lost. A think a game like this really needs some music too, but of course in a jam that can be difficult, and you managed to do so many other things! :)

Would be great to have just a little bit more of a description on this page. It does say "battle" but it wasn't immediately obvious to me that it would be the same as "battle mode" in Mario Kart, so at first I was just trying to drive as fast as I could around the track to win, until I realised there was no finish line… :')

Once I did catch on tho, it was quite fun! Unlocking new characters was exciting and I got to hear the next funny voice line. I'll admit I didn't play enough to unlock all of them since it didn't seem to change much, but do tell if I missed anything by not doing that.

Overall nice, just needs some polish and feedback IMO. :)
