Fun! Though I did die a fair number of times in the first 3 levels because the jump button didn't respond. Unfortunately, I got stuck at this point in the boss level for world one and couldn't find a way to trigger the door: Capture.PNG
Oh no! How did that break! I'll get a patched version setup tomorrow that fixes this. Thank you so much for letting me know. That should be open as you approach it and close behind you.
Bugfix available now! The original jam version is still available via download ^-^

That was more difficult than I expected from the cute graphics lol. Some of the platforming in the beginning as pretty precise. I liked how there were actually boss battles to change things up.
Unfortunately, my quest ended in the first cave level after getting the throwing ability because some monsters pushed me into a wall, making me permanently stuck. A button to restart/quit a level would've helped in that case.
Overall though, it's a nice little platformer. Good job!
Thank you very much! I had so much fun making this one! And I'm glad I didn't decide to make it harder knowing that my repetition in testing maps I was making would make it easier for me lol. I'm glad you enjoyed it!!!
Also, you should be able to hit escape to bring a menu up to restart or go back to the ship. Though this is in the bugfix version... I broke it just before the jam release sadly lol..

Awesome! I played it all the way through and really enjoyed all of it. So cute and I liked the level of difficulty.

I think the art styles don't mesh well enough with each other, the core gameloop didn't seem too original, and there were a few bugs around. Regardless of those flaws, the game had a solid vision behind it, and it is a 3 day jam so this is still pretty decent. It is a cool platformer and that's all you need. Great entry!
Some snappy combat with a cute environment and atmosphere. I had some issues with jumping as i would frequently get stuck on the sides of block and it made the jumping feel a little less enjoyable. Overall good job.
I love how the game has a unique art style that makes it stand out from other games in this genre

The art was very cute! When I tried to play I could run around the room and push a couple things around but I think something was broken because I couldn't get the "press any Key" prompt to do anything even with a refresh of the page. Adorable art though!
you need to attack the chair at the moment. I am in process of a bugfix right now that among other things, will heighten the collision to include the keyboard and pc above it. I am also planning on adding a picture of a spacebar to make this more obvious. You're not the only one to not realize this, it was a failure on my part making it not as clear as I should have.

Really cute game with optional score chasing options, I like the idea of giving the player a projectile, only issue is (atleast for me) when I spam control (ctrl) at enemies it closes the tab and I had to redo all the levels over again. The Y bind didn't work for me aswell. Also the ship area feels a little too large and open. Overall I like the simplicity of it, reminds me of the old newgrounds/flash games I would play and would totally play a post jam version! Oh also I like how each boss played differently!
My gamepad miiiiight be on the wrong setting lol. Try X, they reverse for me sometimes based off of certain games.
My goal was to add way more kitties and other tiny creatures to find and save as you adventure. I wanted to make sure there was plenty of room. That and room to add more toys if I had time. Alas, not enough time lol.
Thank you very much for trying out my game! I really appreciate it! I'm already working on updates to the jam. I loved this theme, way more than I thought I would at first.
Cute artwork, and the game offers some challenge! Some music would have completed the already good vibes this game sends :)
There is music, but the WAY TOO LOUD sfx drowns them out. It's being fixed on the next bugfix. ^-^
Thank you so very much for trying my game!

I love the presentation of this game and being able to push things around the map on the spaceship! I had the same issue as some previous commenters where pressing Ctrl would close the tab and kill the game on me unfortunately, but it was really quick and easy to reload in. Also when it does work and you do have the projectile, it's pretty fun to fire it!
My main thoughts on this is that perhaps you could make it feel a bit more active by having the cat's attack be a single attack rather than the ball that persists since I found myself pre-prepping the attacks before I got to things. I definitely think that the edge detection causing the character to stick slightly could be improved, but I think that you could make a mechanic for that later on too (such as parkour jumps or ledge grabs).
I ran into some of these bugs during my playthrough in case they weren't already on your radar: - I got stuck in enemies often, which sometimes trapped me, and other times it was kind of fun seeing the cat being carried by the bird. - The boss of World 1 displays its text backwards. - I also saw one moment where a slime flew off into space.

I really like jumping games and cats are always a thing that makes a game ten times better! Love it! The controls need some adjustments but overall it's pretty good!

I'm in the middle of playing the game, but I came here to say that for some reason this dialogue was mirrored π

(don't know if it's a bug or intentional)
So far I think the first boss fight was interesting :)
One issue I have, is that either the sound effects are too loud, or the music is too quiet.
Forgot to say: I really like how the "attack" persists for a bit after pressing the button, makes it easier to hit the enemies :)
A lovely idea, I like the upgrades, they make freshen up the gameplay a bit between the levels. To be honest, I'd rather play one level of each "zone" than have 3 of them, they felt somewhat dilluted. At the latter stages I'd rush to the finish instead of collecting the coins and exploring the level. But the game certainly has a lot of fun moments, the bosses are cool, and the door switches encourage you to explore the stages. Good job :) ~ Jacko
I got stuck in that part. Nothing would make me move.

You were brave to do such a big escope. Congratulations on your courage.

Very cute platformer. Maybea little bit hard to play with this controls (W for jump and space for hit perticulary) maybe the next time try jump on space and hit on E or MouseLeft ^^
But your game is cool with lot of leveldesign and your graphisme are very cut spacialy the attack x)
I'm thrilled! I love such simple and cute games, thank you!
Cool graphics, very atmospheric!
Perhaps some of this was mentioned above, sorry if I repeat myself:
I got stuck in pixels quite often. But this is normal for jam))
I found that if you hold down the move button, you can catch on a wall, and in some cases even jump over many times. (without passing the first bss).
I think we've already talked about inverted texts.
And yes, I thought I could cheat the system in this way, but I had to think about Mario to get to the finals))Π‘Π½ΠΈΠΌΠΎΠΊ ΡΠΊΡΠ°Π½Π° 2024-10-25 202733.png
