The gameplay mechanics in this game are so intuitive! It's like the controls become an extension of your own instincts. Plus, the art style adds a unique flair that keeps you engaged throughout. Definitely a gem worth exploring!
Looks like you spent three days trying to get the game to work? I fully understand how difficult it is to do this alone. This happened in my first Game Jam. So good luck in the next round! :}
Plz, add the password of the game archive in the description...
Hey, I tried to play it, but it seems like it wasn't finished? Though I must say that i love the Idea behind it, it doesn't look like it has a lot of gameplay in it. It may sound harsh, but I want to give Feedback nontheless:
- The goal of the maze or the game is not that clear. What should I do? I found the money, but I cant interact? - How should the skeletons interact with the police? Should i summon them with a cooldown and than use them to distract the police? - Do i have some limitations in summoning or trying out the game?
I think that could be a fun game idea, but it needs a lot of polishment.
My tips: Next time, try to do something smaller but polished. Something you can realy play and you are able to finish within the time given. This would lead to a finished game.
But keep it up, we all start small and can improve. I love that you delivered a startable product and you just did what you wanted to do: Publish a Game. Congratz!
Feels a bit rushed. But I hope you had a great jam!
The game needs a lot of polish :smile_cat: The concept is interesting, but the implementation lacks. It seems unfinished, to be honest. - Summons just summon themselves, leaving my wizard to just run around. That's sad. I should be the one summoning. - Summons do not seem to damage the guards at all. - Nothing is really interactable and nothing seemed to be hurting my at all. - You can just find the money by running around, nothing is stopping you. There seems to be no obstacles, so there is nothing to overcome and as a result no challenge. - The game tries to use the internet connection. I don't really get why...
I'm guessing you run out of time, but decided to publish anyway. We all know how hard those time constraints can be :smile: So, keep at it and don't get discouraged!
I think it can be a good game if u finish it.
Congrats on submitting! I noticed you uploaded a development build so I would recommend double checking for that whenever building so you do not accidentally ship a game that may be bloated with debug stuff. Other than that hope you had fun making it!
It looks cool, but playing it left me with some questions... What are the controls here? I moved around and lil' white guys spawned in around me, but I don't think they actually attacked the guards... Also, I found the money but didn't pick it up, and every now and then my character would get some drifting force, moving around without -or against- input.
First of all, congratulations on completing a game and actually publishing it in the jam, not everyone manages that, so good job :)
As for the game, I think that audio is the biggest thing you could have done in terms of effort to result ratio. Adding some free song as a background music would already help the game make a much better impression. Also for your next jam try having smaller scope, to make sure you will manage to get all critical parts of the game done before the deadline. Good luck in your future jams!
P.S. Shadow wizard money gang, we love robbing banks
Yeah, the idea and the name is interesting, if you go through with it and try to make at least one functioning level I think it might a decent fun!
Interesting concept, but not very interactive in it's current state. Making a game in a weekend is not an easy task. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll get to a finished game.
Congratulations for submitting the entry, this is a great feat by itself! The gameplay is lacking, I would love to see some additional controls and interactions, but still, good job making it done
