First of all - I love the art; the game looks really nice. The gameplay was good as a 'proof of concept' as you said, but it wasn't particularly interesting. If you were to continue developing the game, potentially adding in new enemy types, a larger map and so on, I think it definitely has potential, but was a bit too easy in its current state.
Also, with the slimes, they seem to spawn in the most random of places. At first I thought the game was bugged as I couldn't see any more slimes and wasn't sure what to do, but then I noticed a bunch of them getting stuck behind trees and stuff.
Overall though, a good idea!

@sigmoiddev I think they spawn at the fruit trees, but I was confused at first too. That said, I also like the core concept and art.
Echoing the others, as a concept, this is great. Animations and art are very fun. It just needs a little variety to push it over the edge. I'd say this one's worth some extra work after the compo if you're enjoying it!

I love the beautiful pixel art! It's really charming, and well done for 48 hours! I like the gameplay idea and I'd like to see it evolve! It was a little annoying having collision with the eyes, but I'm not sure if it's part of the design. If it is, I'd recommend having some sort of reaction or something for the collision to make it obvious that you can't walk through their space.
Very beautiful game and the core loop s engaging, farming slimes to then summon eyes to defend. Overall great base to build upon in the future, great work.
I see the vision B)
Great work with the pixel art. As others have said, there's a good core here that just needs a little more polish. The only thing I'd add to the feedback you've already gotten is to maybe show the total eye count somewhere. It seemed like if I summoned too many the oldest eyes would disappear and I would waste my materials. Thanks for sharing.
Great art man, i believe there is something there with a little bit of polish and added mechanics

- Interesting concept it felt like it could amount to something - The slow animations made the game feel laggy - It was hard to tell if I was hitting the slime or was hit by it

The idea is fun and I had fun trying it. The visuals is really good. Overall a fun little concept.
I like the vibrant art and the concept of being a trainee with only 1 summoning spell, it fits a game jam format of having a focused purpose.
I was not able to hear anything, so in the future if a game is silent you may want to opt out of the Audio category. You might also try a web build and publish on itch.io for free next time. I don't see any C# files in your source code, so the process of making a web build should be relatively easy and can get a lot more eyes on your charming game! Congratulations on finishing, I look forward to seeing more of your games in the future.

Loved the pixel art!
Nice pixel art, visually its just missing a bit of hit feedback on the player and enemies!
Lovely art, I love the spawning animation for the eyes. Nice job!

The art and animation are really pretty - it would have been great to have a bit more visual feedback though, such as when you hit an enemy (at least some knockback). I feel like this was really close to being a complete game, because preparing your summons to fend off a wave of attackers was pretty fun. The waves didn't seem to get any harder though, and since the slimes were easy to farm, they stopped feeling challenging pretty quickly.
Nice entry though - and good job getting it done in time for the compo!
